Karol Ludwik Koni艅ski i trzy etapy do艣wiadczania archiwum

Get PDF
Komentarz do pism Karola Ludwika Koni艅skiego, aby mog艂y one by膰 zrozumia艂e dla szerszej grupy czytelnik贸w, powinien by膰 z jednej strony obfity i wyczerpuj膮cy, z drugiej mo偶liwie przejrzysty. Pogodzenie tych dw贸ch aspekt贸w, cho膰 cz臋sto trudne w wydawniczej praktyce, mo偶e zosta膰 osi膮gni臋te tylko przy bardzo dobrej znajomo艣ci przez edytora i tw贸rczo艣ci pisarza, i jej wyj膮tkowo rozleg艂ych kontekst贸w, i 鈥 last but not least 鈥 jego autorskiego archiwum.

Zaproponowane w artykule uj臋cie prozy dokumentu osobistego jest nie tyle jej now膮 problematyzacj膮, ile pr贸b膮 zastosowania do wyst臋puj膮cych w literaturze przedmiotu rozpozna艅 bardziej obrazowych i sensualnych kategorii krytycznych. Okno i lustro odsy艂aj膮 do g艂贸wnych (zewn臋trznych i wewn臋trznych) perspektyw postrzegania przez podmiot siebie i 艣wiata w pisarstwie autobiograficznym, a zw艂aszcza w tzw. pismach osobistych (dziennikach, pami臋tnikach, listach). The approach to the prose of personal documents proposed in this article does not aim at defining new problems, but is rather an attempt to apply more vivid and sensual critical categories to the reflections presented in the literature of the subject. The window and the mirror refer to the main (external and internal) perspectives of the subject鈥檚 perception of the world and himself/herself in autobiographical writing, in particular in the so-called personal documents (journals, diaries, letters)

G艂贸wna my艣l eseju rozwija si臋 wok贸艂 obecnych w tych utworach opozycji 艣wiat艂a i ciemno艣ci.The essay includes a reflection on the earthly homeland and its heavenly counterpart put forward in the context of Zbigniew Herbert鈥檚 poem 鈥淒aedalus and Icarus,鈥 which provided the title of the considerations. The analysis in question refers also to other pieces of Polish poetry (by Cyprian Norwid and Aleksander Wat). The main idea is developed against the background of the opposition between the light and the darkness which surfaces in all the poems taken into account. Translated by Dorota Chabrajsk

Artyku艂 omawia na wybranych przyk艂adach z historii Ko艂a Polonist贸w Student贸w KUL model i g艂贸wne typy aktywno艣ci ko艂a studenckiego. Odwo艂uj膮c si臋 do tradycji tego typu organizacji, jej struktury i form dzia艂ania, autor pokazuje, jak wa偶na i wielostronna jest funkcja dobrze dzia艂aj膮cego ko艂a naukowego na uniwersytecie, a zw艂aszcza ko艂a polonistycznego, kt贸re cz臋sto pe艂ni rol臋 integruj膮c膮 r贸偶ne wydzia艂y uczelni i promuje ca艂e jej 艣rodowisko. Dobrze funkcjonuj膮ca Alma Mater staje si臋 ostatecznie miejscem spotkania dw贸ch 艣wiate艂: jednego p艂yn膮cego z g贸ry, ex cathedra, od mistrz贸w i nauczycieli akademickich oraz drugiego, kt贸rego 藕r贸d艂em jest aktywna i cz臋sto zrzeszona w ko艂a naukowe bra膰 studencka. The article discusses, on selected examples from the history of the Polish Philology Student Research Group at the Catholic University of Lublin, the model and the main activities of a student research group. The author refers to the tradition of this kind of association and describes its structure and activities in order to show the importance and the multifarious function of a well-working student research group at the university. The text emphasizes the significance of the presence of a Polish Philology student research group which usually contributes to the promotion of the entire milieu of the university by integrating its different faculties. A well functioning Alma Mater eventually becomes the place of encounter of the light emanating from two sources: from above, ex cathedra, from the masters and professors, and from below, from the students active in their research groups. Artyku艂 rekonstruuje najwa偶niejsze role, kt贸re pe艂ni艂 w sprawie Zbrodni Katy艅skiej J贸zef Mackiewicz (1902鈥1985) 鈥 jeden z najwybitniejszych polskich pisarzy i publicyst贸w. Autor artyku艂u pokazuje systematycznie wszystkie te role i zwraca uwag臋, 偶e wpisane s膮 one w rdze艅 ca艂ej tw贸rczo艣ci Mackiewicza 鈥 spotykamy je tak偶e w powie艣ciach, reporta偶ach czy publicystyce pisarza. The article reconstructs the most important roles played by J贸zef Mackiewicz (1902鈥1985) 鈥 one of the most eminent of Polish writers and publicists 鈥 in the Katy艅 Massacre case. The encounter of the author of Bunt rojst贸w [The Revolt of the Mires] with the fate of the Polish officers executed by the Soviet NKVD in Katy艅 began in the spring of 1943 with his role as a witness to the exhumation of the corpses of the murdered. That dimension of testimony, however, documented by the writer鈥檚 harrowing reports, is only the beginning of the subsequent roles played by him in the Katy艅 case. He was also a documentalist and researcher of this crime, as well as a writer trying to present the event in a vivid and emotional way (his first original monograph on Katy艅). Until the end of his life, he also remained a guardian of the truth about it, actively participating in discussions on new evidence of the crime and commenting on all actions (especially Soviet ones) that attempted to falsify historical facts. The author of the article systematically presents all these roles and points out that they are at the core of Mackiewicz鈥檚 entire work 鈥 we also find them in the writer鈥檚 novels, reportage and articles

My Homeland, or with Norwid about Polish culture for foreigners

No full text
Cyprian Norwid鈥檚 poem My Homeland is a poetical definition of the home country, in which well-known and familiar aspects meet broader cultural dimensions: European and universal ones. The article is an attempt to present such an interpretation of the poem that can be a perfect point of departure for more profound presentations of Polish culture, especially to foreign recipients, or even may become the basis for the whole course comprising introduction into the history of our nation and the nation鈥檚 identity. Following the stanzas of the poem the author of the article points to various dimensions of Polish culture indicated by Norwid鈥檚 metaphors and phrases that are rich in connotations, starting with the home landscape, through the descent of the nation, its history and customs, and ending with the values lying at the foundations of European culture and of the whole human civilisation. As a result an analytical-interpretative description is formed, which reveals the image of Poland that is contained in Norwid鈥檚 poem, is interesting as a poetical work and has many cultural aspects

W ca艂ej tw贸rczo艣ci Mackiewicza przyroda jako bogato reprezentowany i obdarzony wieloma funkcjami element wykreowanego obrazu ma niebagatelne znaczenie. This is particularly the case in Droga donik膮d, where natural motifs continuously 鈥瀉ttack鈥 the reader, so that it is in fact hard to understand and interpret the book without a proper look at them

Unexpected structural complexity of d-block metallosupramolecular architectures within the benzimidazole-phenoxo ligand scaffold for crystal engineering aspects

Get PDF
Abstract Design of metallosupramolecular materials encompassing more than one kind of supramolecular interaction can become deceptive, but it is necessary to better understand the concept of the controlled formation of supramolecular systems. Herein, we show the structural diversity of the bis-compartmental phenoxo-benzimidazole ligand H3 L 1 upon self-assembly with variety of d-block metal ions, accounting for factors such as: counterions, pH, solvent and reaction conditions. Solid-state and solution studies show that the parent ligand can accommodate different forms, related to (de)protonation and proton-transfer, resulting in the formation of mono-, bi- or tetrametallic architectures, which was also confirmed with control studies on the new mono-compartmental phenoxo-benzimidazole H2 L 2 ligand analogue. For the chosen architectures, structural variables such as porous character, magnetic behaviour or luminescence studies were studied to demonstrate how the form of H3 L 1 ligand affects the final form of the supramolecular architecture and observed properties. Such complex structural variations within the benzimidazole-phenoxo-type ligand have been demonstrated for the first time and this proof-of-concept can be used to integrate these principles in more sophisticated architectures in the future, combining both the benzimidazole and phenoxide subunits. Ultimately, those principles could be utilized for targeted manipulation of properties through molecular tectonics and crystal engineering aspects
