    No full text
The dynamics of the textile sector generate that the production cycles are constant and growing according to the demand, this fact means that the increase in the installed capacity is in accordance with the requirements of the clients, therefore, the speed with which this sector grows The commercial dynamics has an impact on a colossal increase in waste, resulting in failures in the production system when it reaches its maximum capacity, causing process failures. This degree work is developed according to a case study for the TejiModa company, in which the objective of the research is to generate a proposal to support innovation in the fabric of collars and cuffs using a waste analysis to help with the reduction of the waste inputs in the production area, making an adequate optimization of said resources. Where initially a diagnosis will be made to obtain the basic information, then methodologies will be proposed that help to improve the conditions of the company today. In this way, being eloquent with the applicability and implementation of the proposal made, it is expected that the alternatives and designs of the proposed processes manage to guide the results to the reduction of waste from the production area and the optimization of resources.

PregradoTecn贸logo(a) en Mecatr贸nica脥NDICE GENERAL CAP脥TULO 1...................................................................................................................... 5 1.1 INTRODUCCI脫N ..................................................................................................... 5 1.2 PLANTEAMIENTO DEL PROBLEMA....................................................................... 6 1.3 OBJETIVOS............................................................................................................. 7 1.3.1 OBJETIVO GENERAL ....................................................................................... 7 1.3.2 OBJETIVOS ESPEC脥FICOS.............................................................................. 7 CAP脥TULO 2. Animal-Assisted Therapy in Dementia: An Updated Literature Review

    Get PDF
Non-pharmacological interventions have shown to affect the symptoms of patients diagnosed with dementia. One of these interventions is animal-assisted therapy, which has been analyzed in multiple studies. However, the results of these interventions are mixed and no consensus has been reached. An electronic search was conducted in August 2021 in 4 databases (PubMed, Ovid Medline, Scopus, and Web of Science) to identify studies evaluating the role of animal-assisted therapy in patients diagnosed with dementia. The titles and abstracts of each article were independently analyzed. Subsequently, a full text of those articles that met the selection criteria was read. The narrative review was carried out based on the articles found. The effect of animal-assisted therapy on the psychiatric, psychological, and cognitive symptoms derived from dementia remains mixed and does not allow to draw specific conclusions. On the other hand, improvements have been observed in patients at a physical level and in terms of quality of life, since the patients showed a greater capacity when it comes to socializing, better communication skills, and greater motor skills. The published literature on the effects of animal-assisted therapy in patients with dementia is contradictory. A large number of articles claim to have found significant neurocognitive, motor, and quality of life improvements, while others claim not to have this effect.

The pandemic generated by the SARS-CoV-2 virus at the end of 2019 demanded several contingency measures that have been deployed worldwide, one of them is the vaccination process. In Colombia, the latest report on the national vaccination plan shows that about 70.8% of the population completed their vaccination schedule. Several studies show that women, people older than 30, social groups with low education, people with higher perceived health and people with a high percentage of conspiracy thinking are more reluctant to be vaccinated. The present study aims to characterize the Implicit Associations towards vaccination against COVID-19 in a Colombian sample. A sample of 25 Colombian men and 39 women (n=64) between 15 and 59 years of age (SD = 7.08) was used. An Implicit Association Test towards vaccination against COVID-19 was used relating two categories (I get vaccinated and I do not get vaccinated) and two attributes (positive and negative). The type of sampling was non-probabilistic by convenience and the overall results indicate that there are no implicit associations towards vaccination against COVID-19, however, it was found that men have a greater associative strength towards negative attributes towards vaccination against Covid-19 than women.Psicolog铆aPsic贸log

The Measure Equivalence Across Gender of The Cognitive Fusion Questionnaire (CFQ) for Ecuadorian college students

Background: Cognitive Fusion (CF) limits behavior by perceiving thoughts as real events. It is a crucial process in the evaluation and intervention of contextual therapies. Its measurement is carried out through the Cognitive Fusion Questionnaire (CFQ), which, despite its psychometric analysis in several countries, the studies on its measurement invariance by gender are cases. This lack of information prevents a full understanding of this phenomenon and its comparison by genre. Objective: To evaluate the CFQ measure equivalence across gender, its validity of association with other variables, and its internal consistency using a sample of Ecuadorian university students. Method: Confirmatory factor analyses were designed with the restrictions corresponding to each level of measurement equivalence and the differences between the adjustment indices were evaluated. The validity of association with variables was computed by means of latent relationships and a factorial model was built to evaluate the equivalence of measurement by gender of these correlations. Finally, the total omega for each gender was calculated. Participants: 356 university students (59.1% women), between 18 and 58 years of age (mean= 25.52; sd= 7.51); 43.9% of these students studied in public institutions (43.9%), 27.5% studied in technical and/or technological institutions and 28.6% were enrolled in private institutions. Results: The CFQ shows factorial validity through a unidimensional structure. The equivalence of the measure across gender is strong. Additionally, the CFQ shows validity and coherence with regards to convergence and divergence, and the questionnaire items have high internal consistency. Conclusion: This study significantly expands the knowledge about the psychometric properties of the CFQ in the university population of Ecuador. Women show a greater tendency to CF in the comparison between genders. These findings are valuable for future research to better understand the influence of gender on this phenomenon

Nothofagus antarctica seedling performance under the influence of Berberis microphylla shrubs with different grazing intensities in burned forests of Tierra del Fuego

    No full text
Fire and grazing in forest ecosystems modify the characteristics of plant communities, favoring colonization by sprouting shrub species. These shrubs may offer protection and facilitate greater survival in slow-growing species, which are less tolerant of biotic and abiotic stressors. The objective of this study was to evaluate Nothofagus antarctica seedling performance (survival, morphology, water potential, and biomass) under the influence of Berberis microphylla shrubs in sites with different grazing use intensities in burned forests in Tierra del Fuego, Argentina. For that, four treatment were established: N. antarctica seedlings planted a) with fence-under shrub b) with fence-outside shrub c) without fence-under shrub d) without fence-outside shrub. Edaphoclimatic conditions were measured inside and outside the shrub at the beginning of the experiment and seedling's performance was measured each summer from 2018 to 2020. Results showed that B. microphylla created favorable edaphoclimatic condition under its canopy. There was lower soil bulk density, cover of bare soil, PAR, soil and air temperatures, but also higher relative humidity, pH, and vegetation cover. N. antarctica seedlings growing under B. microphylla shrubs had less leaf number, but the survival and the other morphological variables were similar to those growing with fenced outside the shrub. Therefore, B. microphylla shrubs provide physical protection against livestock and generate a favorable microenvironment for N. antarctica seedlings in sites with a high grazing use intensity that negatively affect N. antarctica seedlings. To restore burned or degraded landscapes, our study results suggest that fencing N. antarctica seedlings or planting them under the cover of shrubs to protect N. antarctica seedlings from biotic (herbivore) and abiotic (edaphoclimatic) stress.Fil: Bustamante, Gimena Noemi.
