A Distributed Heuristic Algorithm for Delay Constrained Energy Efficient Routing in Wireless Sensor Networks

    Get PDF
Besides energy restriction, wireless sensor networks (WSNs) should be able to provide bounded end-to-end delay when they are used to support real-time applications such as early forest fire alarm systems. In this paper, we investigate the problem of finding the least energy consumption route subject to a delay constraint with low computational complexity in such networks. Based on the distance-vector routing approach, which has less computational complexity and message overhead, we propose a distributed heuristic algorithm called Delay Constrained Energy Efficient Routing (DCEER) in order to minimize the total energy consumption while meeting the end-to-end delay requirement. DCEER only requires a moderate amount of information at each sensor node and does not suffer from the excessive running time. We prove that our proposed algorithm always finishes within a finite time and the computation complexity is only O(n), where n is a divisor of the number of sensor nodes. By mathematical proof and simulation, we verify that DCEER is suitable for large-scale WSNs because the number of messages exchanged between sensor nodes are represented by a polynomial function. Furthermore, we evaluate our proposal to compare its performance with related protocols

The standard applies to the design, renovation and new design of university buildings throughout Vietnam, based on the document issued by the Ministry of Construction No. TCVN 3981:1985. This paper also suggest: Improve the quality of the teaching /lecture service staff. First, Develop a reasonable monitoring, evaluation and reward mechanism to motivate people to work hard; Second, Each faculty member on duty has a job description with clear responsibilities, rights and obligations; Third, Conduct ongoing training. It is necessary to regularly organize training and training courses on serving, communicating, and dealing with customers

By using spin-coating technique, a low bandgap conjugated polymer, poly[2,6-(4,4-bis-(2-ethylhexyl)-4H-cyclopen-ta[2,1-b;3,4-b′]dithiophene)-alt-4,7-(2,1,3-benzothiadiazole)] (PCPDTBT)  and its composite thin films have been prepared. The optical absorption and photoconductive properties with over a wide spectral range, from 350 to 950  nm, were characterized. The obtained results showed that PCPDTBT:10 wt% CdSe  composite is the most suitable for efficient light-harvesting in polymer-based photovoltaic cells. The photoelectrical conversion efficiency (PCE) of the device with  a multilayer structure of ITO/PEDOT/ PCPDTBT:CdSe /LiF/Al  reached a value as large as 1.34% with an open-circuit voltage (Voc) = 0.57 V, a short-circuit current density (Jsc) = 4.29 mA/cm2, and a fill factor (FF) = 0.27. This suggests a useful application in further fabrication of quantum dots/polymers based solar cells

A Feasibility Study in Application of a Gamma Scattering Technique for Inspecting Density Variation by Monte Carlo Method

Back-scattering gamma-rays have been extensively used for years as a nondestructive tool for inspecting the materials in different fields of the economy. The intensities of Compton scattering gamma-rays from the scattering medium strongly depend on its electron density and therefore in its mass density. This feature is very useful for using it as a viable tool for inspecting material. This work aims to investigate the feasibility of application of gamma scattering technique for inspecting density variation in some construction objects by Monte-Carlo simulation method. The gamma-ray sources of different energies and strengths have been used to  extract  the information of density variation  for  interior of  sample by  recording  the backscattering gamma-rays with a gamma-ray detector. The results of our simulations confirm that the resolution for density variation in the inspected objects is quite good. The results should also prove useful in the optimum design of the nondestructive density gauges.Back-scattering gamma-rays have been extensively used for years as a nondestructive tool for inspecting the materials in different fields of the economy. Purpose: The aim of this study is to focus on clarifying using case study method to improve taching law course. Currently, many universities around the world are applying a new teaching method. It can help students absorb knowledge more efficiently and faster. That is the case study. Using a Case Study allows a deeper understanding of cases as a unit, through comparing the similarities and differences of individual cases. Design/methodology/approach: The study uses qualitative analysis, synthesis and inductive methods, together with studies and references from CPTPP, FTA Agreement, as well as Regulations on assurance of business investment activities. Findings: The application of this method to teaching helps learners to approach very applicable situations. The situations or problems close to the theory will also help them to systematize all the knowledge they have learned to apply to solve the assigned problem. Not only use the knowledge learned, but also learn related knowledge outside the program to solve the problem. Case Study is an extremely interesting and interesting learning method, helping us to associate reality and apply it to solve problems and help us remember longer. If you really understand what a case study is, then apply it to your life and work. The results show the regulations on guaranteeing ownership rights as well as ensuring investors' business investment activities have been clearly stipulated in the 2020 Labor Law of Vietnam. These regulations have concretized the constitutional principle of investors' freedom to invest and do business in industries that are not prohibited by la

Laguerre polynomials and the inverse Laplace transform using discrete data

We consider the problem of finding a function defined on (0,)(0,\infty) from a countable set of values of its Laplace transform. The problem is severely ill-posed. We shall use the expansion of the function in a series of Laguerre polynomials to convert the problem in an analytic interpolation problem. Then, using the coefficients of Lagrange polynomials we shall construct a stable approximation solution.Comment: 14 page

A Novel Self-organizing Fuzzy Cerebellar Model Articulation Controller Based Overlapping Gaussian Membership Function for Controlling Robotic System

    Get PDF
This paper introduces an effective intelligent controller for robotic systems with uncertainties. The proposed method is a novel self-organizing fuzzy cerebellar model articulation controller (NSOFC) which is a combination of a cerebellar model articulation controller (CMAC) and sliding mode control (SMC). We also present a new Gaussian membership function (GMF) that is designed by the combination of the prior and current GMF for each layer of CMAC. In addition, the relevant data of the prior GMF is used to check tracking errors more accurately. The inputs of the proposed controller can be mixed simultaneously between the prior and current states according to the corresponding errors. Moreover, the controller uses a self-organizing approach which can increase or decrease the number of layers, therefore the structures of NSOFC can be adjusted automatically. The proposed method consists of a NSOFC controller and a compensation controller. The NSOFC controller is used to estimate the ideal controller, and the compensation controller is used to eliminate the approximated error. The online parameters tuning law of NSOFC is designed based on Lyapunov’s theory to ensure stability of the system. Finally, the experimental results of a 2 DOF robot arm are used to demonstrate the efficiency of the proposed controller

This research was conducted to determine the main influences and physical factors of land suitability for rubber plantation in the Nam Dong district, Thua Thien Hue province. Six factors such as soil type, soil texture, soil thickness, slope, soil pH and soil organic matter content were considered. Results indicate that soil thickness is has the highest role on the land suitability analysis while soil pH has the lowest. The physical land suitability of rubber plantation was divided into 4 levels: very suitable (10.1%), suitable (15.5%), slightly suitable (3.6%), and currently not suitable (70,8%). This research provides important information for rubber cultivation in projected agricultural land use planning of the Nam Dong district.
