    Secara geogrfis, Desa Karanggeneng terletak diwilayah kecamatan Karanggeneng, Kabupaten Lamongan. Disebelah utara dan barat berbatasan dengan sungai Bengawan Solo. Disebelah timur berbatasan dengan Desa Mertani, disebelah selatan berbatasan dengan Desa Sumberwudi. Secara umum mata pencaharian warga desa Karanggeneng adalah sebagai petani baik tambak maupun petani padi dan palawija. Setiap musim kebanyakan petani memanfaatkan lahan sawah untuk ditanami padi daripada dikelola sebagai tambak untuk budidaya ikan. Tanaman padi mudah terkena hama baik itu wereng, ulat dan tikus. Wabah hama yang mendominasi di lahan petani desa Karanggeneng adalah hama tikus. Jika hal ini dibiarkan begitu saja, maka dapat menyebebabkan hasil panen petani menurun. Hasil dari program kerja yang diadakan oleh program studi Teknik Industri kelompok 12 dengan membantu petani dalam mengurangi hama tikus dengan pemanfaatan buah bintaro sebagai pestisida pengusir hama. Untuk yang pertama pelaksaan dan pembuatan pestisida dari buah bintaro diterapkan di lahan sawah Desa Karanggeneng. Dari 8 percobaan yang dilakuakn petani 6 diantaraannya menunjukkan bahwa hama tikus tersebut mati yang menandakan bahwa pemanfaatan buah bintaro sebagai pestisida sangat efektif

    Pond waste treatment is noteworthy, because this is a standard of production success and also one form of cultivation that is responsible for environmental sustainability. This pond waste will be used as a medium for cultivating earthworms. The plan for the implementation of the Community Partnership Program (CPP) is in the village of Pangkah Wetan, Kecamatan Ujungpangkah, Kabupaten Gresik, which is a village where almost all residents live as shrimp and milkfish farmers. The purpose of implementing CPP activities is; 1. Increase knowledge of shrimp and milkfish farmers to manage waste; 2. Increasing the knowledge of farmers regarding the use of ponds as a medium for cultivating earthworms that can be applied in the form of organic fertilizer and alternative feed. The methods used are lecture and discussion methods, technology transfer and demonstration methods. Through coaching in the PKM program, it is expected that shrimp and milkfish pond waste management will be able to protect and preserve the environment of the pond waters, so that the farmers will benefit because it can reduce the purchase costs of inorganic chemical fertilizers and artificial feed, even benefit from the cultivation of earthworm

    Common carp (Cyprinus carpio) is one type of freshwater fish that develops very rapidly as a commercial fish. The purpose of this study was to determine the best plant species in aquaponic systems in increasing optimal growth of common carp (Cyprinus carpio). This study used a completely randomized design (RAL) with 4 treatments and 3 replications. Analysis of variance (ANOVA) was used to see significant differences in treatment. Composition of treatment K (without plants), A (kale), B (lettuce), C (pakcoy). The main observation variables include absolute weight growth, absolute length, daily growth rate, survival rate and feed conversion ratio. The results of variance analysis (ANOVA) showed very significant differences in absolute length and survival variables. Absolute weight, daily growth rate and FCR in the study did not show any real differences. The highest absolute weight growth, daily growth rate, and feed conversion ratio are perlakaun K (without plants) (1,19)g, (1,59)cm and (3,48)g. The highest absolute length is treatment C (pakcoy) which is (0.97)cm. A good survival rate is B (lettuce) treatment, that is (60.00%)

    Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendapatkan dosis terbaik penambahan minyak ikan pada pakan udang vannamei terhadap pertumbuhan dan FCR udang vannamei. Penelitian ini menggunakan Rancangan Acak kelompok (RAK) dengan 4 perlakuan, 3 kali ulangan dan 1 kontrol, dari setiap ulangan diambil secara acak 4 sampel. Setiap tempat budidaya ditebar benih udang vannamei ukuran 5 - 7 cm dengan kepadatan 20 ekor/m3. Aplikasi minyak ikan pada setiap perlakuan pada pakan udang dengan konsentrasi sesuai perlakuan yaitu : M0 = Kontrol (0 ml/kg), M1 = 5 ml/kg. M2 = 10 ml/kg dan M3 = 15 ml/kg. Dari hasil penelitian yang telah dilakukan, maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa pemberian dosis minyak ikan pada pakan udang vannamei menunjukan perbedaan nyata pada variabel bobot mutlak dan FCR. Pada perlakuan M1 (5 ml/kg pakan) memberikan bobot mutlak dan FCR terbaik. Sedangkan variabel panjang mutlak tidak memperlihatkan perbedaan nyata pada semua perlakua

    Goldfish (Cyprinus carpio Linn) punten breeds is a type of freshwater fish that has greatpotential in terms of quality and quantity. Seed production from generation to generation hasdecreased quality. An alternative effort was made to maintain the seed quality of geneticengineering with triploidization process using heat shock treatment. The heat shock can preventpolar body II from splitting on eggs during cleavage of meiosis II level resulting in 3Nchromosome or sterile fish. The purpose of this research is to analyze chromosome number intriploidization process of punten breeds fish and to analyze the effect of temperature shockduration on hatching rate of goldfish (Cyprinus carpio Linn) Punten Breeds. This research wasdescriptive research with 2 treatments and 3 replications in each treatment that was heat shocktreatment 40 ºC at minute 2 after fertilization with difference of heat shock duration 1,5 minutes(treatment A) and shock time temperature 2 minutes (treatment B). The parameters observedwere triploid success, hatching rate, survival rate, and growth of of goldfish (Cyprinus carpioLinn) Punten Breeds, analyzed by T-test with 95% confidence interval. The result of heat shockduration of 1.5 minutes showed the percentage of triploid fish 53,57% and shock timetemperature 2 minute 43,64%. The result of T-test of both treatments had no significant effect onall observation parameters but had varied relationship that was enough and inversely related toall observation parameter

    African catfish is the leading commodity in Indonesia, which has a speed of growth andis resistant to adverse environmental conditions. Trash fish is a small-sized fish such as fish,stingrays, rebon, turmeric fish and the like, Trash fish is also a fish that has a very loweconomic value. Trash fish has a protein content of 28.28%. Fish skin is the result of samplingfrom slaughtering animals in the form of body organs during the process of difficulty. Waste offish skins in the place of fish milling usually consists of several types of fish including grouper,payus, cob, catfish, catfish, white fish and brass fish. Fish skin waste has 26.9% protein. Thepurpose of this study was to determine the effect of trash fish feeding and fish skin wastefeeding on the growth and protein retention of African catfish (Clarias gariepinus). Knowingthe effect of feeding combined trash fish and fish skin waste on FCR of African catfish (Clariasgariepinus). This study used a completely randomized design (CRD) consisting of 4 treatmentsand 3 replications with the following measurements: (A - trash fish feed 5.3%), (B - fish skinwaste 5.77%), (C - (fish trash (50%) + fish skin waste (50%) with 5.55% administration, (K -Pellet 100% Control 5%). Main parameters include Absolute weight growth (grams), Specificgrowth rate (%), Length Absolute (cm), protein retention, survival and feed conversion ratio(FCR), while supporting parameters include temperature, pH, DO, ammonia, salinity.Researchresults were analyzed using SPSS version 17. Each data in the form of growth, survival andfeed conversion ratio (FCR) was analyzed using ANOVA (Analysis of Variance) with aconfidence level of 95%, if significance (P <0.05) continued with the Tukey test (HSD) to seedifferences between treatments Water quality data and protein retention (% ) analyzeddescriptively based on literature The results of research with pe feed of trash fish and fish skinas well as combination of trash fish (50%) + fish skin waste (50%), for the best absolute weightis the treatment K (Control) with a value of 21.03 g. The best daily growth rate is in thetreatment K (Control) with a value of 1.96% / day. The absolute length rate is in the K (Control)treatment with a value of 3.20cm. The best retention value is the treatment K (Control) with avalue of 36.32%. The lowest feed conversion ratio / FCR is control K at 1.78 g, while for thebest survival (%) is treatment B (fish skin waste) with 90% survival

    Application of Seaweed Gracilaria verrucosa Tissue Culture using Different Doses of Vermicompost Fertilizer

    Market demand on the need of agar in Indonesia continues to increase from year to year, so it takes seaweed cultivation technology to improve the quantity and quality of seaweed especially for Gracilaria verrucosa. The purpose of this research is to analyze the doses of vermicompost fertilizer for the quality of agar (viscosity, gel strength) and nutrient content (carbon, nitrogen and phosphorus) of G. verrucosa seaweed from tissue culture. This research was conducted in seaweed pond of Pangkah Kulon Village, Ujung Pangkah District, Gresik Regency, East Java, from April to July 2017.The experimental design used in this study was completely randomized design (CRD) with 6 treatments and repeated 3 times. The experimental treatment was a different dose of vermicompost fertilizer, consisting of 0 ppm (Treatment A), 400 ppm (Treatment B), 425 ppm (Treatment C), 450 ppm (Treatment D), 475 ppm (Treatment E) and a dose of 500 ppm (Treatment F). The results showed that the quality of agar viscosity (cps) was best in the treatment of 450 ppm dosage for 67 cps. The quality of agar gel strength (g/cm2 ) was best at treatment of 400 ppm dosage with a value of 77.2 g/cm2. While the nutrient content of seaweed G. verrucosa form of carbon (%) was best in treatment of 450 ppm dosage with a value of 25.74%, the content of nitrogen and phosphorus (%) was best at treatment of 400 ppm dosage with values of 2.02% and 0.26% respectively
