This research was conducted from May until Juny 2013 at LaboratoryAquaculture of Technology University of Riau. The purpose of this research wasto investigate growth of the African catfish with high stocking density in bioflocktechniques. This research using exsperimental method and Completely RandomDesign (RAL) with three treatments and three replications, there are P1: stockingdensity of African catfish 100 fish/m2, P2: stocking density of African catfish 200fish/m2, dan P3: stocking density of African catfish 300 fish/m2. The result showedthat African catfish with high density in bioflock techniques was not effectedsignificantly on absolute growth weight, absolute growth length, daily growth rateand survival rate. But the best treatments in this research was stocking density offish 200 fish/m2, with high growth weight rate 17,25 g, lenght growth rate 7,84cm, daily growth rate 6,65%, and survival rate 94,66%

The research was conducted for 30 days from september to october 2014 which was held at the Great Hall of Freshwater Aquaculture Sukabumi, West Java Province. The aim of this research was to determine the different stocking densities for growth and survival rate of Giant prawns (Macrobrachium rosenbergii De Man). The method used is the experimental method with completely randomized design (CRD) of the factor with 3 levels of treatment. The treatment were applied, namely P1 of 40 tail/m2, P2 of 60 tail/m2, P3 of 80 tail/m2.The best results showed that stocking density of40 tail/m2. Total absolute body weight, absolute body length, daily growth rate and survival rate was 5,5 grams, 2,65 cm, 2,25 %/day and 92,5 % respectively.Water quality parameters were recorded namely temperature is 24-26º C, pH 6-7,5 and dissolved oxygen (DO) from 4,3 to 4,8 ppm / l

Maintenance Silk Worms (Tubifex SP) with a Doses of Different Fertilizers on Recirculation Systems

Silk worms is one kind of natural food like fish larvae because they contain good nutrients for the growth of fish larvae. This study aims to determine the appropriate amount of fertilizer and the implementation of systems of recirculation to the growth of silk worms. The research was conducted on July 29 to September 18, 2016 placed in a field laboratory of the Faculty of Fisheries and Marine University of Riau. The media used is in the form of sludge reservoirs, dedek smooth, tofu, chicken manure and EM4. While the materials used are silk worms obtained from collectors. Experimental method used was a completely randomized design (CRD) with 3 levels of the factor treatments and 3 repetitions. The treatments used: P0: without the use of chicken manure, P1: 500 g of chicken manure / 0.098 m2, P2: 600 g of chicken manure / 0.098 m2, and P3: 700 g of chicken manure / 0.098 m2. The data observed is the growth of biomass weight, average length, and water quality. The results of this study with the treatment of chicken manure fertilizer of different very significant effect (P 0.05). The average length of the highest in treatment P2 (1.83 cm). Water quality measured during the study was the temperature (25-29ËšC), pH (6-7), dissolved oxygen (6,0-6,5 ppm), and CO2-free (2,0-3,5 ppm). From this study it can be concluded that giving different chicken manure can affect the growth of silk worm

The research was conducted on 18th March to 23rd April 2015 atBrackishwater Aquaculture Development Center Jepara, Central of Java. The aimof this research is to determine the optimum percentage of feed in shrimpsenlargement activity. The Completely Randomized Design was applied in thisresearch with one factor and three replication. Treatment consist of feed pellets; P1(15% from biomass/day), P2 (25% from biomass/day), P3 (35% frombiomass/day), P4 (45% from biomass/day) and P5 (55% from biomass/day). Awhite shrimp (Litopenaeus vannamei) in length of 1,62 cm and body weight of0,05 g were reared in bucket (15 unit) with 120L capacity and density of 100tail/bucket. During experiment, the shrimps were fed on pellets four times daily. The results showed that the different percentage of feed gave effect for whiteshrimp growth. The best percentage of feed is 25% from biomass/day (P2) wasoptimum and gave the total weight with 0,934 g, total length 4,042 cm, specificgrowth rate 9,76%, and survival rate with 95,33%

This research was conducted from June until August 2015 at Laboratory Aquaculture of Technology University of Riau. The purpose of this research was to investigate growth and survival rate of african catfish with addition bacterial inoculant in bioflocs techniques. This research using experimental method and completely random design (RAL) with three treatment and three replications, there are P1 : every 5 days given bacterial inoculant , P2 : every 10 days given bacterial inoculant, P3 : every 15 days given bacterial inoculant . The result showed that african catfish with addition bacterial inoculant in bioflocs techniques affect significantly on the growth of absolute weight and absolute length growth but does not affect the specific growth rate and survival rate. The best treatment were obtained in treatment every 5 days given bacterial inoculant, with value growth of absolute weight 125,27 g, growth in absolute length 17,43 cm, specific growth rate 8,22% and survival rate 95,78%
