Efficient Energy Management System with Storage

    Get PDF
This paper deals with energy management strategy for AC/DC grid connected network using artificial intelligent techniques. Proposed energy management system aims at maximum utilization of energy sources considering load demand, availability of AC mains, and state of charge of battery. A Spartan 6 FPGA controller is utilized for battery scheduling process which schedules the rate of charge and discharge of battery. It also limits the battery from over charging and deep discharge and thus increasing lifespan of battery. A innovative Variable Frequency SPWM technique utilized to increase efficiency of system. It guarantees power to critical load when AC mains fail. The EMS system accomplishes peak power control by supplying battery power to local load along with AC mains when electricity cost is more. The proposed model simulated using matlab/simulink environment and result found to be better than literature modules

An Exploration on Evolution in the Teaching and Learning System

    Get PDF
When the whole world is going through a pandemic, a global shift in the teaching-learning system has become a necessary measure. The physical classroom lectures are replaced by the virtual classroom lectures with the help of technology and resources. But was this shift really required? How will this change affect the lives of the students and the teachers? Is it beneficial for the learners or one should resist the technological changes? Researchers and analysts opines this global pandemic as an opportunity for the students to learn new and extra skills which would give their careers a thrust start, yet some analysts believe that this new and advanced pedagogy is robbing the students off of their moral and ethical conduct. Online education is both a boon and a bane, where it is proved to be advantageous it also carries along with it its own disadvantages. For students suffering from poverty, it is a great opportunity as it cuts the costs and time of travel and the fees for the courses. It is comparatively less as compared to the offline courses but while it is beneficial for these students we must also consider the fact that some of these learners might be the first-generation learners and might not have the same resources or opportunities or knowledge as others. If efficiently used online education can prove to be very beneficial, a student has to be determined, motivated and dedicated when it comes to attending classes which are not supervised. This paper intends to explore the role of ICT’s in the teaching-learning system and its impact on the skills, patience, determination level and working ability in an individual

A review on Data Mining for Indian Online Retail Industry

Data mining, the technique of extracting hidden information from large databases, is a powerful new technology with great potential to help companies focus on the most important information in their data warehouses. Data mining tools predict future trends and behaviors, allowing businesses to make proactive, knowledge-driven decisions. The Indian retail industry has emerged as one of the most dynamic and fast-paced industries due to the entry of several new players in the Indian Retail Sector. It increases the need of different knowledge extraction tools which can extract usable information form large data sets. In this paper we have discussed the Overview of an Indian retail sector, the previous study related to the retailing industry. Also the study presents the gaps identified in the previous work

Individual Investors – Are they Emotionally Biased?

The stock market is a crucial aspect of not just India’s financial market but of the world’s economy as a whole, as it results into massive investments performances. In the fast-moving financial scenario, the traditional finance is unable to explain the irrationality of an individual investor, as they are irrational and influenced by irregularities in financial market. Behavioural finance has earned a lot of significance through its attempts to discover such causes which are behind an investor’s behaviour. The objective of this research paper is to investigate the key impact of behavioural biases in the investment decision making of individual investors. The study consisted of 378 individual investors trading in Indian stock exchanges and data was collected through a questionnaire developed for the purpose of research. The questionnaire was empirically tested after approving its reliability and validity. It is interesting to know the impact of different emotional biases affecting the investment decisions of individual investors. Loss aversion bias, Status quo bias and Optimism bias were studied

Test Case Prioritization Based on Specific Events

    Get PDF
Event-Driven Software (EDS) system changes its state according to arrival of events for example graphical user interface and web framework. So due to there are number of events generated by users waiting in queue, this system is raise issue for testing. Until now, there are more efforts taken for testing this issue but these efforts are not collective. In this project work, our try is to give collective solution for graphical user interface and Web frameworks combined. We designed model to test graphical user interface and web application combined by using test cases prioritization. Main objective is here to deploy this model to prioritize test cases based on events. Our proposed work shows that graphical user interface and Web-based frameworks, gives same behavior even after prioritization. To test stand-alone GUI and Web-based frameworks based on shared prioritization function, and prioritization criteria’s. This generic approach is enough to study develop and test a unified theory for all kinds of Event Driven Software systems. This paper articulates all the details regarding our proposed system through following sections

    Configure A VoIP Network

    Get PDF
Voice over internet protocol (VoIP) is a protocol aimed towards the optimization of voice transmission over the internet and other networks based on packet switching. The birth of VoIP came as an alternative for the much expensive public switch telephone network (PSTN) for voice transmission. A VoIP-enabled speech server can include a speech application which can be configured to communicate With a VoIP telephony gateway server over a VoIP communications path. The VoIP-enabled speech server can also include a VoIP compliant call control interface to the VoIP telephony gate server, the VoIP-compliant call control interface establishing the VoIP communications path. In operation, the speech application can receive VoIP-compliant packets from the VoIP telephony gate Way server over the VoIP communications path. Subsequently, digitized audio data can be reconstructed from the VoIP-compliant packets, and the digitized audio data can be speech-to-text converted. Additionally, text can be synthesized into digitized audio data and the digitized audio data can be encapsulated in VoIP-compliant packets which can be transmitted over the VoIP communications path to the telephony gate Way server. Enhancing the Security of a Network System using Liquid State Machine- A Novel Approach

    Get PDF
Today, most of the computer applications are network based and there is a steady grow in terms of its size and demand. To keep pace with its security aspects lot of techniques are used like IDS (Intrusion Detection System), anti-virus system etc. All are performing their jobs quite well but produced high volume alarms or messages. Further they are not able to unify the network. Hence to overcome these problems we recommend the use of network security situation assessment method. This paper starts with the discussion of network related security situation concept and proceeds with two concern techniques like SVM (Support Vector Machine) and ESN (Echo State Network) which are discussed in detail. Further we also compare both techniques in terms of their performances. Finally we proposed the application of LSM (Liquid State Machine) to enhance the overall performance of network system. Quantitative Analysis of Berberine in an Ayurvedic Formulation-Rasayana Churna by UV Spectrophotometry

    Get PDF
ABSTRACT: Rasayana churna is a well known rejuvenating formulation of Ayurveda, consisting of guduchi (Tinospora cordifolia), gokhru (Tribulus terrestris) and amla (Embelica officinalis). A UV-spectrophotometric method for the quantitative determination of berberine in Rasayana churna was developed and validated. The method involved measurement of absorbance of sample solutions at the absorption maxima of berberine (348 nm). The interference from other compounds was eliminated by processing the crude drug and the formulations to isolate alkaloidal fraction from them. The method was validated by determining linearity, precision and accuracy as per the ICH guidelines. Berberine obeyed Beer's law in the concentration range of 2-20 µg/ml. The method proved to be quite accurate with a mean percentage recovery of 99.21%. Thus, the proposed method is simple, rapid, precise, accurate, and suitable for quantification of berberine content in samples of Rasayana churna
