The article presents a comparative legal study of Ukraine and the CIS states of legal forms of agricultural production. The author analyzes rules of legislation of various branches of law, which are defined as general provisions of legal forms of agricultural production and features of the legal status of certain entities of the agricultural business. Based on the research conclusions to improve current legislation of Ukraine.У статті здійснено порівняльно-правове дослідження законодавства Укра­їни та держав СНД про організаційно-правові форми ведення товарного сіль­ськогосподарського виробництва. Автором проаналізовано нормативно-правові акти різних галузей законодавства, якими визначаються як загальні положення щодо організаційно-правових форм ведення товарного сільськогосподарського виробництва, так і особливості правового статусу окремих суб'єктів аграрного підприємництва. На основі проведеного дослідження зроблено висновки щодо вдосконалення чинного законодавства України
