Nonlinear conformation of secondary protein folding

A model to describe the mechanism of conformational dynamics in secondary protein based on matter interactions is proposed. The approach deploys the lagrangian method by imposing certain symmetry breaking. The protein backbone is initially assumed to be nonlinear and represented by the Sine-Gordon equation, while the nonlinear external bosonic sources is represented by Ï•4\phi^4 interaction. It is argued that the nonlinear source induces the folding pathway in a different way than the previous work with initially linear backbone. Also, the nonlinearity of protein backbone decreases the folding speed.Comment: 6 pages, 1 figur

Conformation changes and protein folding induced by \phi^4 interaction

A model to describe the mechanism of conformational dynamics in protein based on matter interactions using lagrangian approach and imposing certain symmetry breaking is proposed. Both conformation changes of proteins and the injected non-linear sources are represented by the bosonic lagrangian with an additional \phi^4 interaction for the sources. In the model the spring tension of protein representing the internal hydrogen bonds is realized as the interactions between individual amino acids and nonlinear sources. The folding pathway is determined by the strength of nonlinear sources that propagate through the protein backbone. It is also shown that the model reproduces the results in some previous works.Comment: 8 pages, Proceeding of the Conference in Honour of Murray Gell-Mann's 80th Birthday : Quantum Mechanics, Elementary Particles, Quantum Cosmology, Complexity (2011) 472-47

CP Asymmetry of B→Xsl+l−B\to X_sl^+l^- in Low Invariant Mass Region

    Get PDF
I analyzed the CP asymmetry of B→Xsl+l−B\to X_sl^+l^- based on model-independent analysis which includes twelve independent four Fermi operators. The CP asymmetry is suppressed in the Standard Model, however, if some new physics make it much larger, the present or the next generation B factories may catch the CP violation in this decay mode. In this paper, we studied the correlation of the asymmetry and the branching ratio, and then we will find only a type of interactions can be enlarge the asymmetry. Therefore, in comparison with experiments, we have possibility that we can constrain models beyond the standard model.Comment: 12 pages, 5 figures, LaTeX, Accepted for Physical Review

Inclusive dileptonic rare B decays with an extra generation of vector-like quarks

We investigate the leading effects of extending the Standard Model of electroweak interactions by an extra iso-singlet up- and down- type quark pair on various distributions and total branching ratio of the inclusive B-> X_s l^+ l^- (l =e,\mu) rare B decays. The presence of the extra vector-like down quark DD results in the non-unitarity of the extended quark mixing matrix V, which in turn leads to b-> s FCNC at the tree level proportional to (V^\dagger V)_{sb}. On the other hand, the effective penguin and box vertex functions are sensitive to the mass of the extra iso-singlet up quark m_U. The experimental upper bound on BR(B-> X_s \mu^+ \mu^-) is used to constrain the parameters of the model. It is shown that the shapes of the differential branching ratio and forward-backward asymmetry distribution are very sensitive to the value of the model parameters. We also calculate the CP aymmetry distribution of the dileptonic decay in the vector-like quark model. It is shown that, for a typical choice of the model parameters, asymmetries up to around 10% can be achieved for certain values of the dilepton invariant mass.Comment: 15 pages, 2 figure

    Near-brane SU(6) origin Higgs in Scherk-Schwarz breaking of five-dimensional SU(6) GUT

The symmetry breaking of five-dimensional SU(6) GUT is realized by Scherk-Schwarz mechanisms through trivial and pseudo nontrivial orbifold S1/Z2 breakings to produce dimensional deconstruction 5D SU(6) \rightarrow4D SU(6). The latter also induces near-brane weakly-coupled SU(6) Baby Higgs to further break the symmetry into SU(3)C \otimes SU(3)H \otimes U(1)C. The model successfully provides a scenario of the origin of (Little) Higgs from GUT scale, produces the (intermediate and light) Higgs boson with the most preferred range and establishes coupling unification and compactification scale correctly.Comment: 23 pages, 5 figure

    The Effects of Non-Local Interactions in Rare B Decays, B -> X_s l^+l^-

The effects of non-local interactions in rare B decays, \Bsll, are investigated. We show the correlation between the branching ratio and the forward-backward asymmetry via two coefficients of the non-local interactions. This will certainly help us find any deviations from the standard model through the non-local interactions.Comment: 16 pages, 5 figures, LaTeX, Accepted for IJMP

Direct CP Violation in B -> X_s gamma Decays as a Signature of New Physics

We argue that the observation of a sizable direct CP asymmetry A_{CP} in the inclusive decays B -> X_s gamma would be a clean signal of New Physics. In the Standard Model, A_{CP} can be calculated reliably and is found to be below 1% in magnitude. In extensions of the Standard Model with new CP-violating couplings, large CP asymmetries are possible without conflicting with the experimental value of the branching ratio for the decays B -> X_s gamma. In particular, large asymmetries arise naturally in models with enhanced chromo-magnetic dipole operators. Some generic examples of such models are explored and their implications for the semileptonic branching ratio and charm yield in B decays discussed.Comment: several references added and some numerical results updated to include QED corrections (version to appear in Physical Review D

Desain Pencacah Serabut Kelapa dengan Penggerak Motor Listrik

Diesel Motor is a type of piston combustion motor commonly called Ignition Compression Engine Combustion Engine. The use of coconut fiber chopper machines using diesel drive engines in the market has not been able to increase consumer comfort and efficiency. Because of this issue that emits CO2 and NOx also causes air pollution and noise emissions, it tends to be relatively large and also requires intensive care that requires a lot of space and costs. This will renew the surrounding environment and allow user comfort and efficiency when running the machine. Therefore, it is necessary to have an efficient and optimal coconut fiber chopping machine by reducing noise so that it is not noisy and pollution-free. The coconut fiber enumerator with an electric motor drive is an enumerator of coconut fibers with an electric motor as a solution for making household products and agricultural fertilizers to increase comfort and efficiency for consumers so as to increase economic value in the community. This research method begins with making a tool consisting of a study of literature, measuring each component of the tool consisting of a frame, eye drive, motor drive, filter and pulley and designing the design model. Trial on a no-load blade shaft rotation of 450 rpm. At the time of enumeration, the shaft rotation is reduced to around 350-400 rpm and the linear velocity of the V-Belt is 3.9 m / s. From the coconut fiber chopper with an electric motor drive it causes low vibration, does not cause pollution nor is it efficient
