Nucleon electromagnetic form factors and polarization observables in space-like and time-like regions

We perform a global analysis of the experimental data of the electromagnetic nucleon form factors, in space-like and time-like regions. We give the expressions of the observables in annihilation processes, such as p+pˉ++p+\bar{p}\to \ell^+ +\ell^- , =e\ell=e or μ\mu, in terms of form factors. We discuss some of the phenomenological models proposed in the literature for the space-like region, and consider their analytical continuation to the time-like region. After determining the parameters through a fit on the available data, we give predictions for the observables which will be experimentally accessible with large statistics, polarized annihilation reactions.Comment: 25 pages, 5 figures 7 table

    # The Author(s) 2015. This article is published with open access at Springerlink.com Abstract Using baseline data from a survey of 309 Canadian women recently separated from an abusive partner, we inves-tigated patterns of access to health, social, legal, and violence-specific services and whether abuse history and social and health variables predict service use. We compared rates of service use to population rates, and used logistic regression to identify determinants of use. Service use rates were sub-stantially higher than population estimates in every category, particularly in general and mental health sectors. Although women were confident in their ability to access services, they reported substantial unmet need, difficulty accessing services, and multiple barriers. The strongest unique predictors of use varied across service type. Health variables (high disability chronic pain, symptoms of depression and PTSD), low in

Investigation of CIS/CIGS and CdTe solar cells scribing with high-power fibre short pulse lasers

We present here some of the last results of the EUROPEAN project ALPINE. We present both the development of an adjustable fibre laser pulse source and scribing results on CdTe and CIGS solar cells. The scribing tests were performed at three different pulse durations: 400 fs, 8 ps and 250 ps. The results obtained with 250 ps are already very promising for P3 steps in both CdTe and CIGS solar cells. In both cases the results were validated electrically. In the case of P3 scribing for CIGS solar cells, shunt resistances as high as 125 kΩ.cm were obtained. Isolation resistances were higher than 1 MΩ.cm. The processing speed was 2 m/s
