The fact that the patient satisfaction with primary care clinical practices and physician-patient communications has been decreased gradually has brought a new opportunity to online channel as a supplementary service to provide additional information. In this study, we adopted Expectation-Confirmation Theory (ECT) to examine the process of cognitive knowledge expectation-confirmation of e-healthcare users and recommended the attributes of ā€œknowledge-intensive websiteā€. An empirical study was conducted at the National Cancer Center (NCC), South Korea by evaluating its official website. The results indicated that all of our hypotheses were accepted: both pre-knowledge expectations and perceived performance (information quality, information presentation, and website attractiveness) positively influenced knowledge confirmation; knowledge confirmation had a positive and significant effect on perceived usefulness (post-expectations); and together with pre-expectations, both of these variables influenced user satisfaction. Discussion and implications for future research were also provided

    Get PDF
Advances in information and communication technologies have produced enormous changes in the manners, approaches, and methods that people use to collaborate. Knowledge sharing is one of the essential functions of social networking sites (SNS) as new e-Collaboration environment. This study studies knowledge sharing behavior in SNS from the perspective of knowledge contributors and their characteristics using the lens of identity and bond theory. Identity and bond theory asserts that individuals behavioral patterns in SNS. Therefore, this study identified the factors influencing the knowledge sharing in SNS based on identity and bond theory. The data was collected using an online survey from the members of Cyworld, Facebook, and Twitter in South Korea. The results indicate that network externality, social interaction, enjoy helping and self-image expression significantly affect the two type of attachment (common identity and bond). Also, two type of attachment significantly affect the knowledge sharing. Based on the findings, this study offers suggestions to organizers of SNSs to enhance the knowledge sharing from their members

A Presentation of the Green IT Balanced Scorecard from an Environmental Perspective

    Get PDF
In this paper we introduce the Green IT Balanced Scorecard by incorporating an environmental aspect of technology into the scorecard measurement method. We conceptualized the Green IT balanced scorecard as a nomological management tool to systematically align IT strategy with business strategy from an environmental sustainability perspective in order to achieve competitive advantage. The objectives of the Green IT balanced scorecard include the measurement of technology performance via the effective integration of environmental aspects, the investigation of both tangible and intangible assets of Green IT investment, the alignment of IT performance and business performance, and the transformation of the results into competitive advantage. This concept offers a new possibility for both practitioners and researchers to translate their sustainable business strategies into Green IT actions

WeChat has been integrated into the daily lives of Chinese people, including travel. This study adopts affordance theory to examine the influences of affordances and constraints on usersā€™ usage of travel-related WeChat mini programs. We plan to conduct a survey of users who have used at least one travel-related mini program. We hope this research can provide both theoretical implications to tourism literature and practical implications for tourism service providers as well as designers of travelrelated mini programs

Why Go Green: The Influence of Green Practices Coordination on Firm Performance

    Get PDF
The aims of the research are to present a model of environmental performance by measuring the effects of a firmā€™s greenpractice in conjunction with inter-functional coordination mechanisms, and in turn, measure how environmental performanceinfluences firmsā€™ economic performance. Moreover, this study synthesizes both ecological modernization theory (EMT) andcomplementarity theory (CT) as a theoretical lens to develop a comprehensive model. The results of this study showed thatgreen practice-manufacturing coordination and green practice-supply chain coordination have positive effect onenvironmental performance. However, the relationship between green practice-marketing coordination and environmentalperformance and the relationship between green practice-IS coordination and environmental performance were insignificant. Moreover, environmental performance is confirmed as an important antecedent of economic performance. Discussion andimplications are provided

The Impact Of Booth Recommendation System On Exhibition Attendees\u27 Unplanned Visit Behavior: An Extrinsic-Intrinsic Dichotomy Perspective

    Get PDF
Our study on unplanned behaviour theory have examined the effect of booth recommendation system (BRS) on exhibition arise from either an extrinsic or intrinsic motivation. Previous studies, however, ignored the importance of the unplanned behavioural effectiveness through BRS that bonds extrinsic and intrinsic motivation together to deliver unexpected outcomes in exhibition. In this paper, we propose a model of the impact of BRS where perception of usefulness and threat to freedom of choice mediates the effect of both extrinsic and intrinsic motivation on unplanned booth visit behavior. We collected data from 101 visitors of exhibition and analyzed it using the Partial Lease Square (PLS) method. Our findings, interestingly, show that only intrinsic motivations (escape, attraction) significantly influence both perceived usefulness of BRS and threat to freedom of choice, however extrinsic motivation (information) does not significantly influences. Perceived usefulness of BRS mediates directly the effect of escape and attraction on unplanned booth visit behavior. The results and implications are further discussed

In this study we investigate the determinants of behavior intention to use green IT device for reducing electronic consumption by focusing on the end user aspects of a pro-environmental behavior. We tried to understand motivation theory in explaining the causal relationship between motivation aspects and perceived usefulness. By using a reference group theory, we emphasized on how the reference group moderates the motivations and perceived usefulness relationship. We used Partial Least Square (PLS) to analyze the data sample of 104 and found that intrinsic motivation (perceived enjoyment) is significantly related to the perceived usefulness as well as extrinsic motivation (saving money, legislative pressure) is strongly related to the perceived usefulness. In sum, the perceived usefulness has a strong impact on sustainable use of green IT device. Also, we found that a reference group moderates partially the independent variables and mediation variable

In this research, we explored the status of electronic banking adoption by comparing ATM, internet banking, and mobile banking in Indonesia, as one of developing countries. This study investigates the differences and similarities between other banking channels to create new customer satisfaction model. We also examines the combination effects of traditional ATMs, Internet banking, m-banking in Indonesia by combining technology readiness dimension, social presence issue, perceived usefulness, trust, and other constructs with DeLone and McLean model. An empirical study was conducted and data were collected from Indonesia. The results indicate that perceived usefulness plays the most important role to examine end user satisfaction in ATM model; perceived usefulness, perceived convenience, and trust is the most significant constructs in internet banking adoption. And, our last model also results that trust is the most critical aspect to be considered in order to gain success in m-banking implementation in this country

    Get PDF
Green supply chain management has appeared as an essential strategy for enhancing environmental performance ofprocesses, structures, and products accordingly to address regulatory and competitive forces. Korean firms lag in greenlogistics activities relative to ā€˜greenā€™ leading companies in advanced countries. Thus, few papers have identified andinvestigated green supply chain systems within South Korea. To further understand how some Korean firms may wish tofurther develop green logistics and supply chain practices, this paper explores a decision making framework of GreenLogistics by using ANP (analytic network process). We derived 5 clusters and 21 components forming the strategic greenlogistics, and then conducted surveys for pairwise comparison of experts on Green Logistics in Korean firms, and computedrelative weights of the clusters. Our findings indicate that Green Logistics would be very helpful for managers to adjust theirstrategic decisions for green supply chain management. The technique proposed in this paper may be generalized to othercountries with the framework developed not unique to just Korean industry
