Deconstruct and preserve (DaP): a method for the preservation of digital evidence on solid state drives (SSD)
Imaging SSDs is problematic due to TRIM commands and garbage collectors that make the SSD behave inconsistently over time. It is this inconsistency that can cause a difference between images taken of the SSD. These differences result in unmatched hash number gener-ation and would normally be attributed to contamination or spoliation of digital evidence. DaP is a proposed method that ensures all images taken of the SSD are consistent and removes the volatility normally as-sociated with these devices. DaP is not focused with the recoverability of deleted data, however DaP does stabilise the device to prevent uninten-tional contamination due to garbage collection. Experiments show that the DaP method works on a range of devices and consistently produces the hash-identical images. The conclusions are to consider DaP as a new Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) when imaging SSDs
Kisan Call Centre Services to the Farming Community: An Analysis
Kisan Call Centre (KCC) is one of the major initiatives taken up by the Ministry ofAgriculture and Farmers Welfare, Government of India to provide timely agriculture and allied sector information to the farming community through landline or mobile connection. The service is provided through a toll-free number of 1800-180-1551. Considering the importance of KCC, the research study was conducted in Mahaboobnagar District of Telangana State in India with a sample size of 90 farmers to find out and analyze benefits obtained by the farming community through Kisan Call Centre Services. The results revealed that maximum number of the respondents expressed that KCC advisory was able to save cost of cultivation and in forecasting the pest and disease outbreak in a particular region. The study also showed that farming experience, source of irrigation, contact with extension agencies, participation in extension methods, perception towards mobile phones in farming and innovativeness showed positive and significant relationship with the benefits obtained by respondents
DaPā : Deconstruct and Preserve for all: a procedure for the preservation of digital evidence on solid state drives and traditional storage media
Human error is often a cause of contamination of potential digital evidence and can jeopardise an entire case. One of the biggest problems is the data acquisition stage that requires the Digital Forensic Analyst to make bit-for-bit copies of the device seized. This procedure, despite using write-blockers, can go wrong. The proposed Deconstruct and Preserve for all (DaPā) aims at mitigating the risk involved in exposing any data to these procedures and ensures that third parties get an exact match; the process works on SSDs, GPT formatted devices, and other traditional formats, e.g. HDD. The results show a GPT TRIM enabled SSD imaged multiple times produces verification of matched hashes. With these results, it is proposed that DaPā should be considered as a Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) when completing data acquisition

Traditional products and practices of indigenous people inhabiting Ramanathapuram district of Tamil Nadu
23-26Traditional knowledge plays a crucial role in establishing sustainable relationship between man and nature in the society more dependent on natural environment for their varied needs. A study was undertaken to document the indigenous products and practices related to non-farming livelihood activities of Ramanathapuram district. The data was collected with the help of focused group discussion and practitioner participatory approach. In the paper, indigenous materials with respect to non-farming livelihood activities of the people of Ramanathapuram district such as palm leaf products, traditional fishing devices and charcoal making process (Mootam) are discussed
