    A 27 year old female presented with two months history of continuous vaginal bleeding. On evaluation, she was diagnosed as a case of vaginal clear cell adenocarcinoma (VCCA) along with associated Mullerian duct anomalies including didelphys uterus with double vagina; left sided renal agenesis and situs inversus. Although VCCA is strongly linked to in-utero exposure with Diethyl stillboestrol (DES), this patient had no known history regarding such exposure. Also, only a few cases have been described in the literature in which this tumour was seen in association with Mullerian duct anomalies and renal agenesis; in the absence of known DES exposure

    The performance of printed electronics strongly depends on printing techniques and printing resolution that enhance their electrical and mechanical properties. In this research paper, a Jetlab 4xl was used to control and dispense microdroplets of highly conductive nanosilver ink (UTDAg) on a polyimide substrate. The waveform effect on the droplet generation is characterized by measuring the size and the speed of the drops. The behavior of ejected drops on the substrate is studied by printing lines at different drop spacing and stage velocity. The jetting parameters that drive the piezoelectric actuator were properly determined and two waveforms (bipolar) were created to generate two different droplet characteristics in terms of speed and size. Then, printing on the fly using commands in a script file (called ‘in script’ hereafter) with burst mode (a single burst) was used to print lines with different droplet spacings of 50 μm, 60 μm, 70 μm, 80 μm, 90 μm and 100 μm and stage velocities of 20 mm s−1, 30 mm s−1, 40 mm s−1, and 50 mm s−1. The spreading behavior of the ejected droplets was investigated as well by printing lines with 250 μm spacing at the different stage velocities mentioned above. The physical characteristics of the printed lines were studied by optical microscopy and surface profilometry. Finally, the resistance of the printed line at 100 μm droplet spacing and 50 mm s−1 stage velocity was measured at curing temperatures of 140 °C and 160 °C

    Impact of Brand Label on Purchase Intention of a Customer

    Main target of this research is examining the relationship between the purchase intention of cosmetics and brand label. The image of the store mediates the relationship between purchase intention and brand label in the cosmetics sector of Pakistan. To check the direct or indirect effect of brand label on purchase intention, data was collected from 200 customers of different stores. Snow ball sampling technique is used for the collection of data from respondents, and PLS-SEM 3 was used to test the hypothesis. The findings indicate that brand label positively and significantly impact customer purchase intention of cosmetics and store image is also positively linked with brand label and mediating the relationship between purchase intention and brand label. Findings will help the retail service sector to understand the importance of store image and how to enhance the consumers purchase intentions. Over long term, customer retention is better and business profitability is greater

    We discuss a case of 25 year old male who was evaluated for primary infertility following marriage. He had no previous history of urogenital complaints or abnormalities. In fact, his past medical history was unremarkable. On examination epididymal masses were found. Semen analysis showed azoospermia. Right epididymal mass was surgically excised. Histopathology showed an epididymal neoplasm composed of simple and complex papillary processes lining and filling the ducts. The tumor cells were clear and positive for cytoplasmic glycogen. Immunohistochemistry was also supportive. Diagnosis of clear cell papillary cystedenoma was made based on histopathological and immunohistochemical features

    Angiokeratoma of tongue:a series of 14 cases

    Angiokeratomas (AC) are vascular lesions which are defined histologically as one or more dilated blood vessels lying directly subepidermal and showing an epidermal proliferative reaction with ectatic capillaries in the papillary dermis. Only three other cases of isolated mucosal angiokeratoma have been reported in the indexed literature. We reviewed all cases of angiokeratoma located on the tongue, diagnosed in our department during a study period of 10 years (1995-2005). Histologically all 14 cases showed dilated and congested blood vessels in the upper papillary dermis. They lack deep dermal involvement. Hyperkeratosis and acanthosis were also seen in most of the cases. No clinical data was available to assess systemic disease. A higher incidence of of AC in tongue is seen in our study

    Frequency of primary solid malignant neoplasms in both sexes, as seen in our practice

    Background: To determine the frequency of various histologic types of primary solid malignant neoplasms in males and females, in our practice, in a large series of surgical biopdies. Method: A retrospective study of 20,000 consecutive surgical biopsies in the section of Histopathology, Aga Khan University Hospital (AKU), Karachi, in 2004. Results: Squamous cell carcinoma of oral cavity was the commonest malignant neoplasm in males followed by diffuse Large B cell, Non-Hodgkin\u27s lymphoma and Prostatic adenocarcinoma. In females, infiltrating Ductal carcinoma of the breast was overwhelmingly the commonest malignant neoplasm followed by Squamous cell carcinoma of the oral cavity and esophagus. Conclusion: Out of 20,000 biopsies, there were 4616(23.08%) malignant neplasms. Carcinoma of oral cavity is very common in our population in both sexes
