    Differences in Learning Indonesian Literature in the 2013 Curriculum and the Independence Curriculum in Junior High Schools in Indonesia

    Before the Covid-19 pandemic, Indonesia had been implementing the 2013 curriculum for primary and secondary schools. However, in response to the pandemic’s impact, Indonesia later shifted to an independent curriculum for primary and secondary schools. This study aims to elucidate the differences in learning Indonesian literature between the 2013 curriculum and the independent curriculum in Indonesian Junior High Schools. The research adopts a qualitative descriptive approach, employing data collection techniques such as document analysis and interviews with informants. Method triangulation is used to ensure data validity. Data analysis comprises data reduction, data analysis, and data presentation. The findings of the study reveal that under the 2013 curriculum, learning Indonesian literature was structured through a learning implementation plan (RPP). This plan encompassed core competencies, basic competencies, competency achievement indicators, learning objectives, approaches, models, and learning methods, as well as learning media, resources, steps, and assessment methods. On the other hand, the independent curriculum utilized a learning module, incorporating learning outcomes, learning objectives, approaches, models, and learning methods, as well as learning media, resources, student profiles of Pancasila (Indonesia’s national ideology), learning steps, and assessment methods. Notably, in the context of the independent curriculum, teachers are required to conduct diagnostic assessments and employ differentiated learning strategies to cater to individual student needs.     The Effectiveness of a Textbook Based on Multicultural and Contextual Understanding as a Learning Material for Scientific Writing

    A multicultural and contextual-based textbook is scientific writing learning material that presents multicultural and contextual-based language materials for Buddhist college students. This study aimed to describe the effectiveness of a multicultural and contextual understanding-based textbook in improving the scientific writing skills of Buddhist college students. The data collection was carried out by employing mixed methods of statistical analysis, interviews, observations, and document analysis. The research data were obtained by using test results or the products of students' writing skills. The research samples were 101 students of a Buddhist college in the Central Java Province, Indonesia. The study results revealed that a textbook based on multicultural and contextual understanding as learning material for scientific writing could effectively improve the scientific writing skills of Buddhist college students. The results of statistical analysis using the One-way ANOVA test showed Fcal > Ftable (47.74 > 3.09). Thus, there were significant differences in the ability to write scientific papers in the experimental group of students. These results indicated that a multicultural and contextual-based textbook as teaching material for scientific writing for students of Buddhist college was more effective than books that lecturers have used. It was later reinforced by the results of interviews with students and lecturers

    The Influence of Indonesian Instructional Books with a Scientific Approach on Students’ Learning Outcomes in Scientific Writing

    This study aims to investigate the influence of Indonesian instructional books with a scientific approach on students’ learning outcomes in scientific writing viewed from their academic ability. This is quasi-experimental research design. Techniques used to collect data were tests in form of multiple choice and essay, observations, and documentations. Before conducting t-test, the researchers conducted a prerequisite test. Its results for the influence of Indonesian instructional books with a scientific approach on students’ learning outcomes showed significance values of 0.314 in cognitive domain, 0.032 in psychomotor domain, and 0.038 in affective domain. The results for the influence of academic ability on learning outcomes showed significance values of 0.065 in cognitive domain, 0.969 in psychomotor domain, and 0.528 in affective domain. The results for the interactions between of Indonesian instructional books with a scientific approach on students’ and academic ability on cognitive, psychomotor. The conclusions of this study are: 1) Indonesian instructional books with a scientific approach influences students’ learning outcomes in form of psychomotor and affective domains; 2) the academic skill does not influence students’ learning outcomes in scientific writing, and 3) the interactions between Indonesian instructional books with scientific approach and academic ability have no effect on students’ learning outcomes in scientific writing. It is recommended that Indonesian instructional books with a scientific approach can be developed to measure higher order thinking skills

    PELATIHAN PENYUSUNAN ARTIKEL ILMIAH

    Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melaksanakan kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat dalam bentuk pelatihan penyusunan artikel ilmiah bagi 37 guru di Kabupaten Sleman, Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta. Masalah yang diselesaikan dalam kegiatan ini adalah kurangnya pemahaman dan keterampilan para guru dalam menyusun artikel ilmiah. Metode yang digunakan dalam kegiatan ini adalah pelaksanaan pelatihan secara online melalui aplikasi Zoom pada bulan Februari 2023. Pelatihan melibatkan fasilitator yang memberikan materi dan pembelajaran tentang langkah-langkah menyusun artikel ilmiah yang baik, termasuk penulisan abstrak, metode penelitian, analisis data, dan tata bahasa ilmiah. Hasil dari kegiatan ini menunjukkan peningkatan pemahaman dan keterampilan para guru dalam menyusun artikel ilmiah. Mereka mampu menghasilkan karya ilmiah yang lebih relevan, berkualitas, dan dapat diakses oleh komunitas akademik lebih luas. Penyusunan artikel ilmiah juga berdampak positif pada kualitas pendidikan, meningkatkan pemikiran ilmiah dan keterampilan analisis kritis siswa. Kesimpulannya, pelatihan ini memberikan manfaat yang signifikan bagi para guru dan komunitas akademik di Kabupaten Sleman. Para guru dapat mengembangkan kemampuan mereka dalam menyusun artikel ilmiah, meningkatkan visibilitas penelitian lokal, dan memperkuat kolaborasi dengan peneliti dan akademisi. Penting untuk melanjutkan dan mendukung kegiatan serupa di masa depan guna terus memperkuat pengembangan ilmu pengetahuan dan pendidikan di wilayah ini

    Karya sastra yang membahas tentang lingkungan seringkali lahir dari sastrawan yang memang memiliki kepedulian yang tinggi terhadap lingkungan. Sastra juga dapat berkolaborasi dengan ekologi, sehingga lahirlah ilmu ekologi sastra. Dalam penelitian ini sastra berupa legenda dalam cerita rakyat. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji cerita rakyat berwawasan ekologi sastra di air terjun Sewawar. Utamanya dalam menggali legenda yang ada di air terjun dengan kajian literatur ekologi berwawasan lingkungan. Teori penelitian ini menggunakan teori cerita rakyat Danandjana. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan deskriptif kualitatif dengan pendekatan etnografi. Pengumpulan data menggunakan wawancara dan observasi, dan teknik analisis data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan teori interaktif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa keberadaan legenda menegaskan adanya cerita rakyat yang berwawasan lingkungan. Seperti halnya cerita rakyat Air Terjun Sewawar yang dalam kepercayaan masyarakat banyak menyimpan legenda dan mitos di baliknya beserta mata air tiga arah yang terbagi dengan fungsi yang berbeda-beda

    The Use of Digital-Based Media in Children’s Literature Learning in Universities During the Pandemic

    Interactive digital media is a product or service to present children's literaturelearning materials expected to motivate students in class. However, in actualconditions, the existing learning facilities have not presented interactive digitalmedia, such as PowerPoint, learning videos, and e-books. Children's literaturematerials are focused on the age range from 5 to 13 years. This research employeda mixed method approach involving a sequential exploration. Researchers beganby exploring qualitative data and used the analyzed research results to develop thesecondary data incorporating a quantitative method. The research respondentswere 117 lecturers in literature education at five different universities. Due to timeand cost constraints and total samples that should be above 30% of the population,researchers involved 54 participants. In this regard, the simple random samplingtechnique was employed, in which all individuals in the population had the sameopportunity to participate. Randomization was chosen because the targetpopulation was homogeneous. The sampling procedures consisted of (1) preparinga list of all population members and marking each with numbers 1 to 117 and (2)selecting the samples randomly using a table of random numbers from 1 to 54. Thefindings revealed that interactive digital media was needed in digitaltransformation in the modern era. The education sector could not avoiddigitalization which promoted changes in the learning system, especially inIndonesia. Therefore, educators should incorporate interactive digital media intotheir learning plans to engage students and ensure positive learning outcomes

    Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan pemanfaatan talimaa sebagai bahan ajar sastra klasik di Perguruan Tinggi. Jenis penelitian ini menggunakan deskriptif kualitatif dengan pendekatan antropologi sastra. Data penelitian ini mengenai bahan ajar sastra klasik sebagai pembelajaran sastra di Perguruan Tinggi. Sumber data dalam penelitian ini adalah dokumen dan hasil wawancara bersama dosen mata kuliah sastra klasik. Teknik pengumpulan data penelitian ini melalui wawancara dan dokumen. Validitas data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini berupa trianggulasi teori dan trianggulasi sumber. Teknik analisis data penelitian ini menggunakan teknik analisis interaktif. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa talimaa dapat dikategorikan atau diidentifikasi sebagai bahan ajar sastra klasik serta berdasarkan wawancara dengan dosen Program Studi Pendidikan Bahasa dan Sastra Indonesia, IKIP PGRI Pontianak bahwa talimaa bisa dijadikan sebagai bahan ajar karena mampu meningkatkan apresiasi mahasiswa terhadap kesusasteraan klasik yang ada melalui pengenalan berbagai karya sastra klasik berupa teks dan lisan, mengetahui konsep, dasar, kaidah, fungsi, hakikat, genre, karakteristik, aliran, dan interprestasi dasar sastra, mampu memberikan contoh teks/lisan sastra klasik, dan mampu membuat laporan tentang sastra klasik di daerah Kalimantan Barat

    The Kings and Wisdoms in Surakarta and Yogyakarta Folktales

    This research aimed to explain the king’s character and the wisdom in Surakarta and Yogyakarta folktales. The results showed that the king of Kanjeng Sinuhun, Paku Buwono, was the main character in the Surakarta folktale. The king, Sri Sultan Hamengkubuwono, is also the main character in the Yogyakarta folktale. Folktales use the king as the main character who is a patron of the people. The king is the master of a microcosm who tries to unite the microcosm and the macrocosm so that they exist in harmony. Wisdom in the Surakarta and Yogyakarta folktales consists of wenang wisesa ing sanagari (having the highest authority in the country), gung binathara bau dhendha nyakrawati (having as much as the power of God, being the keeper of the law and the ruler of the world), and berbudi bawa leksana ambeg adil paramarta (having a fair and wise leadership). The purpose of this paper is to find out the procedure and process for giving Adok/Jejuluk to the marriages of the Komering community in Kayu Agung, South Sumatra. The method of this research is to use the descriptive method with data collection techniques based on the results of interviews and observations. Meanwhile, for data analysis techniques using qualitative data analysis techniques. The results of the research in this case focused on the form of culture, getting the result that the form of culture is a complex pattern of activities and actions from humans in society in the Kayu Agung area, got the result that many patterns of society have changed from their initial origins with their reasons, four data obtained namely the change in obtaining the title adok or jejuluk, caste equalization by using the niktiko adok musical instrument, the addition of more and more war verses and mincing which has deep meaning, and patrilineal which is still being preserved
