    Maintain of African Catfish (Clarias Gariepinus) Used of Peat Swamp Water in Bioflocs Technology

    This research was conducted from December 2015 until January 2016 at Technology Research and Development Center in Riau Balitbang. The purpose of this research was to investigate growth and survival rate of african catfish with difference of stocking density in bioflocs techniques. This research using experimental method and completely random design (RAL) with three treatment and three replications, three are P1 : Stocking density 200 ekor/m3, P2 : Stocking density 300 ekor/m3, P3 : Stocking density 400 ekor/m3. The result showed that african catfish with difference of stocking density in bioflocs techniques significant effect on quality of water, absolute length growth, spesific growth rate, the growth of absolute weight, and survival rate. The best treatment were obtained in treatment stocking density 300 ekor/m3, with value growth of quality of water (temperature 27-32oC, DO 3,09-4,16 mg/L, pH 6,7-7,1 and NH3 0,07-0,09 mg/L) absolute weight 50,15 g, growth in absolute length 12,63 cm, specific growth rate 3,99% and survival rate 98,16%

    Effect of Stocking Density on Seaweed Production (Kappaphycus Alvarezii) Rearing with Hanging Rope Method

    This study was conducted from 17 March until 28 April 2014 in the waters of Hamlet Village Sugie Subdistrict Moro Karimun District of Riau Islands province. The method used is an experimental with 1 factors and five level of treatment and 3 replications. 1 meter rope tied with 100 g of seaweed seed with different space of 10 cm, 15 cm, 20 cm, 25 cm and 30 cm respectively. Data were analyzed using ANAVA (P<0.05). Based on the findings that the was best of (Kappaphycus alvarezii) on density with the specific growth rate highest of 30 cm was (766.67 g/clump; 4.99%) and the lowest density of 10 cm with an average weight (212 g/clump; 1.80%). while the highest dried seaweed production was in the treatment of 15 cm with a dry weight of 370.42 g/ hanging rope and the lowest of 10 cm with a weight of dry production 265 g/ hanging rope

    The Effect Different of Temperature on Growth and Survival Rate of Kryptopterus Lais

    This study aims to determine the effect different of temperature on growth and survival rateof Kryptopterus lais.This research was conducted at the Aquaculture Laboratory, Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Science University of Riau, on march to may, 2018. The trial fish used in this research was Kryptopterus lais.The experimental design used was completely randomized design with 5 treatments and 4 replicateswith four treatment temperature25oC, 27oC, 29oC, 31oC, and 33oC. Analysis was performed on specific growth rate weigh, ansolute growth, specific growth rate and survival rate. The results showed that the specific growth rate weigh (34,22 ± 0,22e), ansolute growth (5,75 ± 0,29c), specific growth rate(7,12 ± 0,03d) and survival rate (92,50 ± 2,89b) is highest in treatment temperature29oC.Temperature effect in treatment of 29oC had significant effect on specific growth rate weigh, ansolute growth, specific growth rate and survival rate(p < 0.05). it can be concluded that the optimum temperatureimproved specific growth rate weigh, ansolute growth, specific growth rate and survival rate

    This research was conducted from January until March, 2013 in the pond experiment of Fisheries and Marine Science Faculty of Riau University, Pekanbaru. The purpose of this research was to improve the effectiveness of the tool automatic feeder in feeding on aquaculture. The method used was direct observation method and the treatments descriptive analyzes. Treatments were : low (8 volt), mid (10 volt), and hight (12 volt). The best results in the treatment of hight (12 volt) quantity feed out 620 – 648 grams, the distance issues feed 2,5 – 3,0 m and the level of error granting feed 0,74 %

    The Effect of Different Doses of RElGH (Rekombinat Ephinephelus Lanceolatus Growth Hormone) on Growth and Survival of Pomfret Fish in Recirculation Systems

    The study wasconducted from 3stof May to 10th June 2017.The research to do cultivation technology faculty of fisheries and marine University of Riau.The research was conducted to determine the dose of recombinant growth hormone (rGH) of Ephinepelus lanceolatus supplemented in the commercial diet that generates the best performance on body weight, body length, specific growth rate, survival rate, feed efficiency, and feed convertion rate of river Bawal Air Tawar (Colossoma macroponum)in resirculation system.The dose of rElGH administrated was 1, 2, 3 and 4 mg/kg of commercial feed and no rGHsupplementation as control. Each treatment was design in triplicates. Pomfret fish at average 3-4 cm were reared in aaquarium in a density 10 fish/aquarium for 30 days. The fish were fed with the rElGH suplplemented diet once a three days at satiation. The results showed that growth body weight of 2 mg/kg feed was (8,25g), Specific growth rate 9,21 %, feed efficiency (107,7%), Feed convertion rate (0,96%),(P0.05) than other treatment. Thus, supplementation rGH 2 mg/kg feed of Pomfret fish once in three days can be applied in enhance the growth Pomfret fish with a best performance of growth

    This research was conducted from May to June 2017 for 45 days in HatcheryTIU (Technical Implementation Unit) of Marine and Fisheries Faculty, University ofRiau. The aims of this study were to determine the growth and survival rate of Siamesecatfish which were reared on different shape of the tanks. The tanks were made oftarpaulin plastic material with 30 L of water volume capacity. Stocking density ofexperimental fishes were 30 fishes/tank. The method of the study was an experimentalmethod with 4 treatments and 3 replications. The treatments were: P1 = circle shape, P2 =Square-shape, P3 = Octagonal shape, P4 = Triangular shape, and P5 = Rectangularshaped. The result of this study can be concluded that different shape of tanks have nosignificant effect on growth and survival rate performance of the Siamese catfish fries.The growth performance of round, square, octagonal, triangle and rectangular shape oftanks respectively has given an absolute weight growth of 5.93 g; 6.00 g; 6.18 g; 5.72 gand 5.77 g, then an absolute length growth were 4.88 cm; 4.93 cm; 4.91 cm; 4.76 cm and4.85 cm, a daily growth rate 4.24%, 4.32%, 4.27%, 4.21% and 4.24, the food efficiency92.67%, 92.63% , 94.31%, 92.42% and 91.23% and the survival rate 100%, 97.8%,100%, 98.9% and 100% respectively. The result of water quality measurement which isstill in the optimal range for rearing the Siamese catfish where the temperature was 28-30° C, 5-6 of pH, 5-6 mg/L of DO, 0,03-0,05 mg / L of Ammonia, 0,17-0,20 mg / L ofNitrite, and Nitrate was 0.80-0.98 mg / L
