    Get PDF
    — In general, no one can escape from radiation. Radiation exists in various forms as minerals in earth and water, cosmic rays in space, radioactive energy in human body, man-made effects as in the form of industrial waste, result of nuclear weapon test, nuclear reactor and medical procedures. The people those who are living closer to the environment where radioactive emission is found to be high, would have a high risk of getting significant health aliments like skin burns and radiation sickness. Moreover people who receive constant exposure to lower level of radiation will susceptible to have cancer and cardio vascular diseases in their life time. The primary motive of the proposed work is to evaluate the concentration of the radioactivity substances, tracking the impact through present and futuristic patterns using deep learning techniques

Intuitionistic Robust Fuzzy Matrix for the Diagnosis of Stress, Anxiety and Hypertension

    Get PDF
The mathematical model given here attempts to improve precisionin the diagnosis of stress, anxiety, and hypertension using Intuitionisticrobust fuzzy matrix (IRFM). In practice, the imprecise natureof medical documentation and the uncertainty of patient informationfrequently do not provide the appropriate level of confidence in thediagnosis. To that purpose, a novel method based on distinct fuzzymatrices and fuzzy relations is devised, which makes use of the capabilitiesof fuzzy logic in describing, understanding, and exploitingfacts and information that are unclear and lack clarity. With the assistanceof 30 doctors, a medical knowledge base is created during theprocedure. The model obtained 95.55%t accuracy in the diagnosis, demonstrating its utility

Interplanetary Consequences of a Large CME

We analyze a coronal mass ejection (CME) which resulted from an intense flare in active region AR486 on November 4, 2003. The CME propagation and speed are studied with interplanetary scintillation images, near-Earth space mission data, and Ulysses measurements. Together, these diverse diagnostics suggest that the internal magnetic energy of the CME determines its interplanetary consequences.Comment: 5 pages, 9 figures, To appear in "Magnetic Coupling between the Interior and the Atmosphere of the Sun", eds. Thymic CD4+CD25+ cells have regulatory-T-cell-like properties in chickens. This study examined the ontogeny of CD4+CD25+ cells in the thymus and in peripheral compartments in chickens. CD4+CD25+ cells started to appear in the thymus at day 15 of incubation (E15), although at low percentages. Expressed as a percentage of CD4+ cells, CD4+CD25+ cells increased (P<0.01) from 1.7% at E20 to 7.3% at 0 d post-hatch (D0). CD4+CD25+ cells did not appear in the spleen or cecal tonsils of embryos. Expressed as a percentage of CD4+ cells, CD4+CD25+ cells increased (P<0.01) from 0% at D0 to 27% at D1 in cecal tonsils and from 0% at D0 to 11% at D1 in the spleen. Expressed as a percentage of all mononuclear cells, cecal tonsils at D1 had approximately 3.5-fold higher percentage of CD4+CD25+ cells than the spleen at D1. CD4+CD25+ cells from cecal tonsils of chicks at D1 were suppressive. CD4+CD25+ cells from D0 thymus, when injected back into MHC-compatible chicks, migrated to cecal tonsils and lungs and were detected until 10 d post-injection. CD4+CD25+ cells from cecal tonsils had a higher (P = 0.01) relative amount of CCR9 mRNA than CD4+CD25+ cells from the thymus. It could be concluded that in chickens CD4+CD25+ cells migrate from the thymus immediately post-hatch and preferentially colonize the gut associated lymphoid tissues. CD4+CD25+ cells' preferential migration to cecal tonsils is likely directed through the CCR9 pathway in chickens

(R1986) Neutrosophic Soft Contra e-Continuous Maps, Contra e-Irresolute Maps and Application using Distance Measure

    Get PDF
We introduce and investigate neutrosophic soft contra e-continuous maps and contra e-irresolute maps in neutrosophic soft topological spaces with examples. Also, neutrosophic soft contra econtinuous maps are compared with neutrosophic soft continuous maps, δ-continuous maps, δ- semi continuous maps, δ-pre continuous maps and e∗ continuous maps in neutrosophic soft topological spaces. We derive some useful results and properties related to them. An application in decision making problem using distance measure is given. An example of a candidate selection from a company interview is formulated as neutrosophic soft model problem and the hamming distance measure is applied to calculate the distance between the interview candidates and the ideal candidate. The candidate having less distance with the ideal solution is the desirable candidate

(R1956) Neutrosophic Soft e-Compact Spaces and Application Using Entropy Measure

    Get PDF
In this paper, the concept of neutrosophic soft e-compactness is presented on neutrosophic soft topological spaces using the definition of e-open cover and its types. In addition, neutrosophic soft e-compactness and neutrosophic soft e-separation axioms are associated. Also, the concept of neutrosophic soft locally e-compactness is introduced in neutrosophic soft topological spaces and some of its properties are discussed. Added to that, an application in decision making problem is given using entropy

    Get PDF
Objectives: In this study, In-vitro antioxidant and free radical scavenging activity of Hypnea valentiae was evaluated in a series of in vitro assays. Antioxidants are vital substances which possess the ability to protect the body from damage caused by free radical induced oxidative stress. Methods: The evaluation of antioxidant properties was determined by 1,1-diphenyl-2-picrylhydrazyl (DPPH), 2,2'-azinobis 3ethylbenzthiazoline-6-sulphonic acid (ABTS), ferric reducing antioxidant power (FRAP), nitric oxide scavenging assay (NO), reducing power, superoxide, hydroxyl radical scavenging and hydrogen peroxide radical assay, the metal chelating activity as well as phosphomolypdenum assay. Results: Among the tested red algae, the maximum antioxidant activity was recorded in the methanol extract of Hypnea valentiae. Whereas methanol crude extract of red algae and diatom showed good antioxidant potential. Conclusions: The findings of the present study suggest that all seaweed extracts could be a potential source of natural antioxidant that could have great importance as therapeutic agents.Â

Effect of immunostimulant on enhancement of the immune response of kuruma shrimp Marsupenaeus japonicus and its resistance against White Spot Syndrome Virus (WSSV)

An experiment of 45 days duration to test the efficacy of the Vibrio alginolyticus as an immunostimulant was conducted in Marsupenaeus japonicus against white spot syndrome virus (WSSV) infection, considered as one of the serious pathogens of shrimps. The shrimps were fed with the experimental diets coated with different concentrations of bacteria of 17 ml / kg feed and 10 % of animal body wt. They were challenged with WSSV to assess the increase in survival rate and growth if any due to immune enhancement. Another group of shrimp was used for drawing the haemolymph to estimate the increase in the level of prophenoloxidase activity. Samplings for the above said analysis were carried out at 15 days interval for a period of 45 days. The highest prophenoloxidase activity (39.78 with sand substrate-T1) and the highest survival rate (66.66 % with sand substrate-T1) and highest growth rate (7.04 % in 17ml/kg- with sand substrate-T1) were recorded in experimental diet (17 ml / kg feed). Hence the 17 ml / kg feed of Vibrio alginolyticus formalin killed added to the diet could be an eco-friendly and economically viable immunostimulant for penaeid shrimps
