    ABSTRACT Trip demands in Ahmad Yani Airport - Semarang are increasing over time. This increase is enhanced by the fact that Semarang is one of the cities with high potential for economic activities as well as a business center in Central Java. Forecasting is the core of planning and design process of an airport. Airport terminal, runway, freight accommodation facilities, parking area and even road network from and into it are all to be based on air traffic demand forecasting. The analysis result has suggested that the trip characteristics of air traffic users in Ahmad Yani Airport â Semarang are business trips makers. The reason for rendering air transport service is that such a trip takes shorter travel time and offers better level of comfort. Meanwhile, the growth of air traffic increases in every 5 years period with one plane addition in the peak hour

    A Comparative Study On Non-Motorised Vehicle To Analyse The Capacity Of A Signalised Intersection

    Non-motorised vehicle is considered to have significant role to induce traffic congestion, and this is the underlying reason for the authorities to pass a regulation to manage the operation of this vehicle. In addition to this major role, it can increase the delay and queue length that, in turn, cause decrease of intersection\u27s capacity. A guideline for highway capacity measurement in Indonesia is supplied in Manual Kapasitas Jalan Indonesia (M1(11,1997), a translation version of Indonesian Highway Capacity Manual (IHCM,1993) after some alterations. One of those alterations is about the measurement analysis of non-motorised vehicle. In this manual the volume of non-motorised vehicle is measured as traffic flow by a certain passenger car equivalent unit. Mean while in the MKJI (1997), the volume of non-motorised vehicle is assumed as side friction with a particular correction factor which is used in saturation flow calculation,- then, the value of saturation flow is included in the capacity analysis. This paper analyses the influence of non- motorised vehicle\u27s volume using the two manuals based on the data from field observation, of which the case is taken in the signalised T-junction of Simanjuntak â Sudirman Street in Yogyakarta. The analysis result will later be compared to the actual survey result in the field. The problems to be elaborated include the capacity and the degree of saturation of this concerned intersection

    Research was carried out to investigate the role of ojek, the motor cycled taxi in Yogyakarta and Banjarmasin. The investigations involve the perception of passenger towards the performance of ojek compared to formal public transport like city bus. A stated preference technique was adopted in data collection and in the analysis, which was reinforced by data of the revealed preference, taken in the survey. The findings show that in general the prospect of ojek is better than that of formal public transport, although with a more expensive fare. This is because time value is more valuable so that people prefer making a trip by spending a bit more expensive cost rather than to waiting longer for cheaper public transport.     Experiment On Bus Lane Application In Yogyakarta

    ABSTRAK The growth of economy results in the growth of new business areas, which usually locate along streets with high traffic volume. However, these areas do not provide adequate parking facilities, so the visitors/customers often have to park their cars on trunk roads, which, in turn, reduces street effective width and leads to street capacity decrease. Public transport as the major transport service for middle to low class societies suffers from this situation in that buses have to share the lane with private cars which are growing bigger in number, resulting in lower public transport service quality. The application of bus lane is, therefore, expected to improve public transport service. As a method for finding out the effect of bus lane application, the experiment compares the existing condition to the simulation of bus lane in which parking prohibition on trunk roads is included. The measurement covers street capacity, travel time, and speed. The findings show that there is a flow increase of 4.73% from the condition before the application of bus lane. Bus travel time decreases as much as 6.69% while passenger car and motor bike travel time decreases 4.98% and 5.49% respectively. Bus speed increases 6.53%, but passenger cars and motor bikes speed decreases 4.59% and 5.49%. Keywords: Bus line, transportatio

    ABSTRACT The prime objective of this paper is to introduce queue length unit to predict horizontal queue lengths at traffic signals. Research was carried out by collecting data of more than 500 signal cycles in Yogyakarta to investigate queue lengths. Queues with mixed traffic composition were extensively analysed to develop queue length predictions. The results could be used for queue length predictions by considering traffic composition such as the percentage of large vehicles

    The rapid increase of air transport especially for Yogyakarta-Jakarta route could influence of the decrease of train passengers. In the first four months in 2003, the data showed that it has decrease the number of executive train passengers until 40%. This is because the executive train has longer travel time. To be surviving, both of public transport operators have to understand some factors which give the influence of passenger behaviour for transport mode choice. . The aim of this study is to create a mode choice competition model between the executive train and the airplane for Yogyakarta â Jakarta route by using the stated preferences technique, in this technique respondents state their choice based on the existing conditions and the desire conditions. The mode choice has been modelled by discrete choice theory using binomial logit model, and the data analysis conducted by using LIMDEP verse 7.0. The results of the study indicated, the probability value for each mode was 22.78% for executive train, while it was 77.22% for airplane. The result of the goodness of fit test of model showed that the value for each indicator were 0,43 for rho-squared (p2), indicating that 43% of fare, travel time and access cost effected the mode choice, 99,12641 for chi-squared (i), 0,0159 for prediction success index (oi) and 76% for valid model. Moreover, the model application results with some scenarios of fare change and travel time showed that the fare change attribute of executive train was more sensitives than airplane mode, and all closely attributes in each mode were inelastic. It has been caused service characteristics of two modes were different significantly, particularly travel time. Keywords: transport mode competition, stated preference, binomial logit mode

    The local government of Bandar Lampung has done some planning and policies to solve the transportation problems by creating the effective and efficient public transport system. One of those was the plan of route network structuring in year 2003 by recommending the mode change policy from public transport passenger car type to be medium bus or it was known \u27two in one\u27 policy. However, it can not be applied in related and showed the controversial because it has not been accommodated the users and operators needs. This research aimed at identifying the importance level weight for each public transport component and criteria for considering in taking decision to determine the type of public transport mode in Bandar Lampung. Hence, it can support optimally the effective and efficient of public transport service. This research was conducted to obtain the importance level weight of each component and criteria for determining the mode alternative of urban public transport by using the Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) method. The transport elements chosen were users, operators, regulators, and transport experts, with the used criteria were travel time, waiting time, frequency, load factor, fare, reliability, safety, comfortable, and security. The sensitivity analysis was exercised for obtaining the optimal alternative by the change of scenario of the importance level weight. The results of the study showed that the determination of urban public transport type was influenced by some criteria\u27s weight, i.e. 17.45% safety, 15.68% fare, 13.27% comfortable, 11.16% security, 10.14% waiting time, 9.15% reliability, 9.12% travel time, 7.57% frequency, and 6.47% load factor. All of those were for considering the importance level weight of 49.45% users, 28.68% operators, 14.84% regulator, and 7.04% transport expert. The third alternative as the optimal alternative was the medium bus of urban public transport of mode type chosen with capacity 30 seats for the weight of 38.29%.     Pemakaian Ordered Probit Model Untuk Analisis Pangsa Pasar Angkutan Umum

    ABSTRAK Urban public transport is needed by city society who has middle and low income especially captive passenger in Yogyakarta. The existing conditions of public transport are complaint by passengers such as long travel time, stop at any locations, dirty, and unsafe. Effort to be made in order the number of vehicle raises, furthermore it can attract new market share from choice passengers. This research tried to determine the market share from captive and choice passengers. Captive passengers are defined as passengers who have no car or vehicle while choice passengers is other wise. Using the stated preferences technique, some data were collected with 180 respondents form both groups. Hence it was utilised ordered probit model to analysis discrete data where dependent variable is ordinal. The results of this research show that the market share\u27s probabilities for captive passengers were for definitely departure choice of willingness to pay (64.32%) with flat fare, travel time faster than 10 minutes, and music, meanwhile for probably departure, it was 26.54% as the existing condition of bus. However, the market share\u27s probabilities for choice passengers were 32.82% for definitely departure and 26.52% for probably departure choice with flat fare, headway less than 10 minutes, get a seat surely, and music.     PENGARUH SENAM KAKI TERHADAP SENSITIVITAS KAKI DAN KADAR GULA DARAH PADA AGGREGAT LANSIA DIABETES MELITUS DI MAGELANG

    Penelitian bertujuan mengetahui pengaruh senam kaki terhadap sensitivitas kaki dan kadar gula darah pada aggregate lansia diabetes melitus di Magelang. Penelitian eksperimen semu desain pre and post test groupdesign with control group. Sampel secara aksidental atau convenience sampling, 125 responden (62 lansia kelompok intervensi dan 63 kelompok kontrol). Instrumen penilaian menggunakan skala sensitivitas dan nilaikadar gula darah. Senam kaki dilakukan 3 kali seminggu selama 4 minggu. Hasil penelitian kadar gula darah lebih baik pada lansia sesudah diberikan senam kaki (p value 0,000). Sensitivitas kaki lebih baik pada lansiasesudah diberikan latihan senam kaki (p value 0,000).Kata kunci: senam kaki, sensitivitas kaki, kadar gula dara
