    Matematika hingga saat ini masih menjadi momok menakutkan bagi siswa, hal tersebut ditandai dengan dialaminya kecemasan matematika pada siswa, terdapat berbagai faktor yang mampu menimbulkan kecemasan matematika, salah satunya adalah penggunaan metode pembelajaran yang tidak tepat. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengindetifikasi bagaimana penerapan berbagai model pembelajaran matematika terhadap kecemasan matematika siswa. Metode yang digunakan pada penelitian ini yaitu Systematic Literature Review (SLR). Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa dari berbagai model pembelajaran matematika yang ada, terdapat dua puluh model pembelajaran yang dapat menjadi alternatif untuk mengatasi kecemasan matematika pada siswa. Berdasarkan penelitian yang telah dilakukan, dapat disimpulkan bahwa dari berbagai model pembelajaran matematika tersebut memiliki cara kerja dan efektivitas tersendiri dalam mengatasi kecemasan matematika siswa, sesuai dengan kondisi lingkungan belajar dan karakteristik peserta didik, sepanjang model pembelajaran tersebut dapat membuat suasana pembelajaran matematika menjadi interaktif dan menyenangkan

    There have been demands to enhance the statistical literacy in the mathematics curriculum due to the vital role statistics plays in both everyday life and professional environments.The main purpose of this research is to investigate the heterogeneity and research landscape pertaining to students' statistical literacy skills.This research employs a systematic literature review approach combined with bibliometric analysis as the chosen methodology. Data obtained from the Scopus database which has been refined through the PRISM method. The results show that the publication trend has increased in recent years. Publications in 2017 had the most impact in this area. The United States of America is the most influential country in this study. Most of the research was conducted at the secondary school level and most were published in Q3 journals. The learning method most often used in research related to students' statistical literacy skills is project based learning. Information on research developments related to students' statistical literacy skills can serve as a valuable reference for future researchers. It is strongly advised for educators and researchers to conduct further investigations into the statistical literacy skills of students in Asia and Africa, particularly focusing on the primary school level

    Analysis of students’ mathematical reasoning between different genders: A systematic literature review

    The main purpose of this study was to examine existing studies related to mathematical reasoning skills based on gender differences using Systematic Literature Review (SLR). The following studies identify reasoning abilities based on gender differences. The review was carried out by carrying out several stages, namely the process of identification, screening, feasibility, inclusion, and data analysis on two livelihood machines, namely SCOPUS and ERIC. In reporting this study, the guidelines used were PRISMA guidelines. The data used was sorted by the specified criteria and this resulted in a total of 8 articles. Our findings identify that the study was conducted in three places: Indonesia, Sweden, and Turkey. Based on the findings of the study using three research designs, namely qualitative, mixed method, and quasi-experimental. The topics of the material used in this study are topics of geometry, algebra, and other branches of mathematics. The SLR also includes characteristics of reasoning abilities found by gender as well as the distribution of studies in terms of trends and countries

    Publication Trends from STEAM in Education from Scopus Database: Bibliometric Analysis

    The objective of this study is to shed light on the domain of STEAM education research by employing a three-pronged strategy. This article provides a bibliometric analysis of STEAM education literature by focusing on three major research questions (RQs): RQ1. How has research on STEAM education progressed? RQ2. Who is the most influential in STEAM education research? RQ3. Which affiliations and countries are contributing to STEAM in education? This study combines quantitative analysis with descriptive methods. The evolution of STEAM education and the pattern of publishing found in Scopus, which is determined by research connections, research themes, and scientific journals, are of interest to researchers. Throughout this research, the Bibliometrix R-tool and the BiblioShiny software packages were utilized, one at a time, for data analysis, reduction, visualization, and mapping, respectively. In response to RQ1, this study found the Annual Growth Rate to be 24.19%. This finding is based on the trend of publications in STEAM in Education. The results indicate that there has been an increase in the number of journal articles devoted to this subject, which are frequently disseminated. The second question this research aims to answer is which areas of STEAM education research have the most influence. While Piperopoulos P has the top spot for the most globally mentioned documents, Perignat E holds the top spot for the most locally cited papers. In the meantime, Herro D is a writer who has contributed to the study done in the field of STEAM education. As for RQ3, it can be noted that Jeju National University and the Korea National University of Education are the top two campuses in the world regarding STEAM in Education research publications, both of which are located in South Korea

    PENDAMPINGAN PEMANFAATAN APLIKASI KAHOOT DAN QUIZIZZ DALAM PEMBELAJARAN DI SMPN 37 PEKANBARU

    Kahoot and Quizizz are learning platforms that can be used to view student knowledge based on games. This application can be used as an ice breaker to raise student interest in learning. Quizizz and Kahoot applications can be used for all lessons. So that this mentoring activity aims to make teachers at SMPN 37 Pekanbaru able to take advantage of the Quizizz and Kahoot applications in learning so as to create a learning environment that attracts students' interest in learning and is able to make meaningful assessments for students. The implementation method begins with the delivery of material in a classical manner, followed by a question and answer session and mentoring in making quizzes through the kahoot and quizizz applications that are adapted to the material that the teacher is capable of. As a result of this service activity, teachers at SMPN 37 Pekanbaru as training participants have received assistance in using the Kahoot and Quizizz applications in learning. In this training the teachers have made quizzes and exercises  using the Kahoot and Quizizz applications to be tested in their respective classes. In this training, teachers are very interested in preparing interactive technology-based learning tools.Kahoot dan Quizizz merupakan platform pembelajaran yang dapat digunakan untuk melihat pengetahuan siswa yang berbasis permainan. Aplikasi ini dapat dijadikan sebagai ice breaking untuk memunculkan minat belajar siswa. Aplikasi Quizizz dan Kahoot ini dapat dimanfaatkan untuk semua pelajaran. Sehingga kegiatan pendampingan ini bertujuan agar guru-guru di SMPN 37 Pekanbaru dapat memanfaatkan aplikasi Quizizz dan Kahoot dalam pembelajaran sehingga menciptakan lingkungan belajar yang menarik minat belajar siswa dan mampu membuat penilaian yang bermakna bagi siswa. Metode pelaksanaan dimulai penyampaian materi secara klasikal dilanjutkan sesi tanya jawab dan pendampingan pembuatan kuis melalui aplikasi kahoot dan quizizz yang disesuaikan materi yang guru ampu. Hasil kegiatan pengabdian ini, para guru di SMPN 37 Pekanbaru sebagai peserta pelatihan telah mendapatkan pendampingan penggunaan aplikasi Kahoot dan Quizizz dalam pembelajaran. Dalam pelatihan ini para guru sudah membuat kuis dan latihan menggunakan aplikasi Kahoot dan Quizizz untuk nantinya akan dicobakan di kelas masing-masing. Pada pelatihan ini guru sangat tertarik untuk menyiapkan perangkat pembelajaran berbasiskan teknologi yang interaktif

    ANALISIS KEMAMPUAN KOMUNIKASI MATEMATIS MAHASISWA CALON GURU MATEMATIKA PADA PEMBELAJARAN KALKULUS INTEGRAL

    Mahasiswa calon guru matematika yang memiliki peran dan fungsi dalam lingkungan pendidikan dituntut untuk berpikir tingkat tinggi dan melakukan penalaran tingkat tinggi, yang semuanya dapat terwujud dengan memiliki kemampuan dasar dalam mengkomunikasikan ide melalui pengembangan kemampuan berpikir matematis baik terhadap dirinya sendiri maupun kepada orang lain. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kemampuan komunikasi matematis mahasiswa pada pembelajaran kalkulus integral secara keseluruhan kemampuan mahasiswa, berdasarkan kategori kemampuan, dan berdasarkan kemampuan setiap indikator kemampuan komunikasi matematis mahasiswa. Subjek penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa yang mengambil mata kuliah kalkulus integral pada semester 4 tahun pelajaran 2021/2022 sebanyak 37 mahasiswa program studi pendidikan matematika di salah satu Universitas Negeri di Provinsi Bengkulu. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian deskriptif kualitatif dengan menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Instrumen dari penelitian ini menggunakan tes kemampuan komunikasi matematis dan wawancara. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan: (1) secara keseluruhan kemampuan komunikasi mahasiswa sebesar 75,44% berada pada kategori baik, (2) berdasarkan kategori kemampuan komunikasi matematis menunjukkan bahwa kategori sangat baik berada pada 88,67%, kategori baik berada pada 73,54%, kategori cukup berada pada 52,59%, dan kategori kurang berada pada 40%. (3) kemampuan komunikasi matematis berdasarkan indikator yakni a) mengkonsilidasi pemikiran (ide/gagasan) secara tertulis berada pada 83,06%  dengan kategori sangat baik, b) menafsirkan ide atau konsep matematika dalam bentuk grafik, gambar atau tabel berada pada 78,38%  dengan kategori baik, c) mengekpresikan ide matematika dengan tepat berada pada 64,86% dengan kategori baik. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan komunikasi matematis mahasiswa masih belum optimal dan memerlukan perhatian dari praktisi pendidikan.

    Students’ heterogeneous mathematical critical thinking skills in problem-based learning: A meta-analysis investigating the involvement of school geographical location

    A discrepancy exists in students' mathematical critical thinking skills (MCTS) in mathematics classrooms implementing problem-based learning (PBL). The factor of school geographical location is predicted to affect the skill distinction of the students. This study aims to investigate and examine the school's geographical location assumed as a moderating factor of students' heterogeneous MCTS in PBL. Meta-analysis of 58 relevant documents containing 3,946 students and generating 59 effect sizes in the Hedges g unit was performed to conduct this study. Searching and selecting literature found 58 documents published from 2011 to 2021, consisting of 40 journal articles and 18 conference papers. Some tests, such as Q Cochrane and Z, were applied to analyze the data. The results showed that the school's geographical location was not a significant moderating factor that affected students' heterogeneous MCTS in PBL. In addition, PBL intervention significantly positively affected metropolitan, urban, and rural students' MCTS. Still, PBL intervention was more effective in the metropolitan area in enhancing students' MCTS than in urban or rural areas. This study suggests Indonesian government conduct the equable distribution of competent teachers and complete the facility and infrastructure of schools in each geographical location

    Computational Thinking Skills Indicators in Number Patterns

    This research aims to examine a) what computational thinking indicators have been developed by researchers, b) what computational thinking indicators can be used in learning mathematics appropriately, and c) how to describe the development of student computational thinking indicators from the answers of computational thinking tests. This research is a qualitative descriptive study through a process of collecting data from literature reviews, integrated computational thinking math tests, and interviews. Data collection instruments used research notes, interview sheets, and CT question sheets. The results showed that a) 20 computational thinking indicators had been studied by researchers, b) computational thinking indicators that could be used in learning mathematics include problem decomposition, abstraction, pattern recognition, procedural algorithms, and generalizations, and c) From the student answers, five proposed computational thinking indicators can be developed even though they were not perfect. The general implication of this research is that there are five indicators of computational thinking skills that can be used in mathematics learning, specifically in number patterns, which include problem decomposition, abstraction, pattern recognition, pattern recognition, procedural algorithm, and generalization. The researchers developed all five computational thinking skills indicators in the instructional designs of not only the number pattern concept but also combination, geometry, combinatorics, etc

    Level of visual geometry skill towards learning style Kolb in junior high school

    This study aims to conduct an in-depth analysis of the visual thinking level of junior high school students with the learning style of assimilators, converges, accommodators, and divergers in solving geometry problems. The type of research used is qualitative research with a grounded theory and case study design. The subjects studied were junior high school students consisting of 6 of 56 students. Data were collected through a learning style inventory (LSI) test given to 56 students to group participants based on the learning style of the Kolb model, then a geometry problem-solving test and interviews were given to 6 students, namely two assimilator students, one converges, one accommodator, and two diverger students. The analysis is based on data from written test results and interviews. Then, time triangulation is carried out to obtain valid research data. The analysis was conducted based on data from written test results and interview results paired with video recordings. Then, triangulation of time is carried out to obtain valid research data. The results of the analysis showed that assimilator students and converger students were able to achieve at the global visual level, namely being able to carry out visual thinking activities well in solving problems, illustrate the problem correctly in geometric drawings/objects, represent problems in mathematical symbols precisely and can express relationships between images well. While accommodator and diverger students can only reach the local visual level, they have yet to be able to show every visual thinking activity well in solving geometry problems, illustrating problems in geometry drawings that could be more precise, and solving rudimentary geometry problems

    Systematic Literature Review: Analysis of Learning Obstacle in Didactical Design Research on Geometry Material

    Learning geometry is an important lesson because it is studied at every level of education and geometry is a sub-matter in mathematics that is very closely related to the lives of students. However, field data shows that there are still many students who experience learning difficulties in geometry material, both obstacles that are classified as ontogenic obstacles, epistemological obstacles and didactical obstacles. This study aims to identify how the distribution of research that addresses learning barriers in Didactical Design Research research on geometry material and also aims to find out what learning barriers students often experience when studying geometry. The research method used is a Systematic Literature Review using 25 articles that have been published in indexed journals Sinta and Scopus in the 2019-2023 period. The article was obtained from search results on the Google Scholar and ERIC data base. The results of this study indicate that research discussing learning barriers in geometry material is mostly carried out at the elementary school level with the sub-material that is most often discussed is two-dimensional material. The results of this study also show that students still experience many types of learning barriers including ontogenic obstacles, epistemological obstacles, and didactical obstacles
