    Teacher Perceptions of Multicultural Education and Diversity Values in the School Environment

    A comprehensive education system is essential to promote peace in a diverse, multicultural society. Teachers have a critical role in organizing the classroom environment, and it is vital to understand their perceptions of Multiculturalism and the extent to which educational programs adopt multicultural principles. This study investigated teachers' perceptions of multicultural education and diversity and evaluated their awareness of these issues. A qualitative research design with case studies was used, and six teachers from an elementary school in Surabaya were deliberately selected for this study. The data were collected through interviews, observation, and document analysis, and the results were analyzed using content analysis techniques. This study found that teachers have adequate knowledge about multicultural education and a positive attitude toward it. However, their understanding and prejudices related to specific concepts still need more. In addition, the inclusiveness of Multiculturalism in annual plans and teaching programs still needs to be improved. Learning transformation is required that encourages active student collaboration, such as the project-based learning (PjBL) model

    Entrepreneurship in University Islamic Education Constructivism Perspective

    Constructivism, as a philosophical paradigm, seems to be a good explanation in understanding the entrepreneurial learning process that builds meaning through experience with the business world. This study aims to explore the learning process of student entrepreneurship from a constructivist perspective and try to understand how students learn to become entrepreneurs in the context of higher education. This research is based on the learning of a small group of Sharia Economics study program students who take entrepreneurship modules at Sunan Giri University Surabaya Indonesia. The results of the study indicate that the student learning process is seen as a very valuable experience and is based on all types of interactions in the classroom according to the situation outside their class. Entrepreneurship development is supported by an experience approach to learning, action-based and student-centered, focusing on developing skills and competencies related to entrepreneurship

    Building Mosque Economic Independence Based on Balance Scorecard

    The purpose of this study is to develop a balanced scorecard-based strategy formulation step concept from Kaplan and Norton's strategy formulation theory, to formulate a mosque's economic independence strategy. This study is expected to provide general guidelines for formulating strategies to build mosque self-sufficiency. Through Basic Qualitative Research, this research was analyzed using a content analysis approach. The results of the study show that the steps in formulating the strategy include: 1) establishing the vision and mission of the mosque's economic business in line with the vision and mission of the mosque, 2) conducting a SWOT (strengths-weaknesses-opportunities- threats) analysis, by making adjustments to the financial perspective, namely the stakeholders are mosques, donors (as investors) and empowered communities, 3) formulating strategies using the matrix and logical thinking Strategy map

    One of the prominent trends in modern creative organizations is involving organizational stakeholders in idea development, promoting cooperation, sharing knowledge, and fostering creative expression. Changes in the value writing process have become essential factors in creating innovation. This research aims to analyze how innovative organizations, such as publishers, utilize their ability to manage communication channels to foster stakeholder involvement in the value writing process collectively during innovation. Through a case study approach, this research involves 25 Islamic publishers of the Indonesian Publishers Association, utilizing websites and the social network Facebook as communication tools. The research findings indicate that idea and project development, networking, collaboration, knowledge sharing, opportunities for non-formal learning, discussion platform creation, and feedback are crucial factors driving stakeholder involvement in enhancing added value in the innovation proces

    INTERNALISASI PENDIDIKAN AKHLAK DALAM MENGUATKAN KARAKTER ISLAMI SISWA MI PERWANIDA BLITAR

    Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis proses internalisasi pendidikan akhlak dan implikasinya dalam menguatkan karakter Islami siswa Madrasah Ibtidaiyah (MI). Melalui studi kualitatif fenomenologis, pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi di MI Perwanida Blitar.  Analisis data dilakukan menggunakan prinsip-prinsip yang dikembangkan oleh Miles dan Hubberman (1992) yaitu reduksi data, penyajian data, dan kesimpulan/verifikasi.  Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa proses internalisasi pendidikan akhlak dalam menguatkan karakter Islami siswa di MI Perwanida Blitar dilakukan melalui beberapa proses yaitu, pertama melalui pembiasaan kegiatan keagamaan, seperti rutinitas do’a sebelum dan selesai Belajar, Shalat dhuha dan Shalat dzuhur berjama’ah, serta membaca Al Qur’an.   Kedua melalui keteladanan seperti berjabat tangan ketika bertemu dengan guru se-mahrom, mengucapkan salam ketika bertemu guru, dan menjaga kedisiplinan.  Implikasi internalisasi Pendidikan Akhlak  terlihat dari menguatnya karakter islami siswa baik di lingkungan sekolah maupun di masyarakat/rumah seperti kesadaran dalam keimanan dan ketaqwaan, amanah, jujur, tanggung jawab, sopan dalam bersikap, dan santun dalam bertutur kata. Dalam penelitian ini juga dijelaskan beberapa faktor pendukung dan penghambat pelaksanaan internalisasi pendidikan akhlak, semuanya terkait dengan aplikasinya di lingkungan sekolah, keluarga, dan masyarakat tempat siswa berintraksi

    This study aims to find out if there are differences in the use of big books on reading literacy between visually educated students and non-visual students at MINU Waru 1. This study uses a quantitative approach with a type of comparison. The study population was 84 students in grade 1, with a sample of 64 students divided into grades 1A, 1B, and 1C. Through observation, students are classified their intelligence levels and with tests to measure reading literacy levels. The results were analyzed using independent sample t-test that was previously done prerequisite test, namely normality test and homogeneity test, using SPSS application version 22. Independent sample t-test results showed a significance value of < 0.05 is (0.000 < 0.05) for the pretest, and a significance value of < 0.05 is (0.008 < 0.05) for posttest. From these results, Ho was rejected and Ha received which means there is a difference in the use of big book media to read literacy between grade I students who have visual intelligence and non-visual students at MINU Waru 1 Sidoarj

    This study examines the use of digital literacy to increase the learning outcomes of PAI students at SMK Pawiyatan Surabaya. This study uses quantitative research with a correlational descriptive approach. Data collection using a questionnaire was carried out in a self-administered questionnaire, namely, the respondents answered the questionnaire themselves that had been made by the researcher. The sample used was 177 students as respondents. Hypothesis testing was carried out using the Partial Least Square (PLS) based Structural Equation Model (SEM) approach using the Smart PLS application version 3.0. The results showed that the ability to access digital tools (XI), the ability to search for information with digital devices (X2), and the ability to evaluate information from the Internet (X3) both partially and simultaneously had a significant positive effect on PAI learning outcomes (Y). Digital literacy skills are very important in learning, especially in finding PAI information with digital tools. The more professional students are in search for this information, their insights and knowledge references will increase so that student learning outcomes for PAI will also increase
