En support √† cette analogie, le texte esquisse les transformations r√©alis√©es depuis quelques ann√©es au Centre hospitalier psychiatrique Sainte-Th√©r√®se de Shawinigan et sugg√®re que, pour faire de telles transformations, le d√©veloppement de services de r√©adaptation peut servir de catalyseur. Il propose √©galement une analyse perceptuelle des r√©actions humaines, politiques et sociales suscit√©es par la m√©tamorphose du r√īle traditionnel attribu√© √† l'institution psychiatrique.Using a mode of psychodynamic analysis, this article exposes some similarities between the factors that hinder the social reintegration of the "patient" and the social and political forces opposing the "rehabilitation" of the social institution represented by the psychiatric hospital. In support to this analogy, the article outlines the transformations realized over the last few years at the Centre hospitalier psychiatrique Sainte-Th√©r√®se of Shawinigan and suggests that, in order to make such changes, the development of rehabilitation services can serve as a catalyst. The authors also propose a perceptual analysis of human, political and social reactions created by the metamorphosis of the traditional role attributed to the psychiatric hospital

    Exploring the electrochemical behavior of InSb as negative electrode for Mg-ion batteries

    International audienceMagnesium metal has a tendency to react with conventional electrolytes to form a barrier on its surface[1], rendering cations exchange impossible, and thus dramatically limiting reversible stripping/deposition of Mg. Unlike Mg metal, alloys based on p-block elements (Sn, Sb, In, Pb, Bi) do not appear to suffer from the formation of a blocking passivation layer in conventional electrolytes. These substitute electrodes appear therefore as a promising solution to overcome the problem of compatibility with electrolytes, even if the reaction mechanisms behind their operation in conventional electrolytes are still unsolved. In order to improve the performance of these electrodes, we evaluated a possible synergy effect between p-block elements, as already shown for SnSb[2] and BiSb[3]. We chose to work on InSb that may combine the high theoretical capacity of Sb and the lowest working potential reported for In. InSb, synthetized by ball-milling, shows an electrochemical behavior (Figure 1) drastically different from those of the lone elements. We will demonstrate that the combination of In and Sb is beneficial as it promotes the reactivity of Sb, similarly to BiSb alloy[3]. Structural and morphological ex situ characterization will also be described in details and correlated with the peculiar electrochemical behavior of InSb.     Common Recruitment of Angular Gyrus in Episodic Autobiographical Memory and Bodily Self-Consciousness

    Parietal cortex and adjacent parts of the temporal cortex have recently been associated with bodily self-consciousness (BSC). Similarly, growing evidence suggests that the lateral parietal cortex is crucial for the subjective aspects of episodic autobiographical memory (EAM), which is based on the conscious experience of reliving past events. However, the neuroanatomical relationship between both fundamental aspects remains currently unexplored. Moreover, despite the wealth of neuroimaging data on EAM, only few neuroimaging studies have examined BSC and even fewer examined those aspects of BSC that are most closely related to EAM. Here, we investigated whether regions in the inferior parietal lobule (IPL) that have been involved in spatial aspects of BSC (self-location and first-person perspective), as described by Ionta et al. (2011) are also active in studies investigating autobiographical memory. To examine this relation, we thus compared the regions indicated in the study by Ionta et al. (2011) based on data in healthy participants and neurological patients, with the results from a meta-analytical study we performed based on functional neuroimaging studies on EAM and semantic autobiographical memory (SAM). We report an anatomical overlap bilaterally in the angular gyrus (AG), but not in other parietal or temporal lobe structures between BSC and EAM. Moreover, there was no overlap between BSC and SAM. These preliminary data suggest that the bilateral AG may be a key structure for the conscious re-experiencing of past life episodes (EAM) and the conscious on-line experience of being located and experiencing the world in first-person (BSC)

    Carbohydrates in plant immunity and plant protection: roles and potential application as foliar sprays

    Increasing interest is devoted to carbohydrates for their roles in plant immunity. Some of them are elicitors of plant defenses whereas other ones act as signaling molecules in a manner similar to phytohormones. This review first describes the main classes of carbohydrates associated to plant immunity, their role and mode of action. More precisely, the state of the art about perception of ‚ÄúPAMP, MAMP and DAMP type‚ÄĚ oligosaccharides is presented and examples of induced defense events are provided. A particular attention is paid to the structure / activity relationships of these compounds. The role of sugars as signaling molecules, especially in plant microbe interactions, is also presented. Secondly, the potentialities and limits of foliar sprays of carbohydrates to stimulate plant immunity for crop protection against diseases are discussed, with focus on the roles of the leaf cuticle and phyllosphere microflora.Peer reviewe

    Differential cross section measurements for the production of a W boson in association with jets in proton‚Äďproton collisions at ‚ąös = 7 TeV

    Measurements are reported of differential cross sections for the production of a W boson, which decays into a muon and a neutrino, in association with jets, as a function of several variables, including the transverse momenta (pT) and pseudorapidities of the four leading jets, the scalar sum of jet transverse momenta (HT), and the difference in azimuthal angle between the directions of each jet and the muon. The data sample of pp collisions at a centre-of-mass energy of 7 TeV was collected with the CMS detector at the LHC and corresponds to an integrated luminosity of 5.0 fb[superscript ‚ąí1]. The measured cross sections are compared to predictions from Monte Carlo generators, MadGraph + pythia and sherpa, and to next-to-leading-order calculations from BlackHat + sherpa. The differential cross sections are found to be in agreement with the predictions, apart from the pT distributions of the leading jets at high pT values, the distributions of the HT at high-HT and low jet multiplicity, and the distribution of the difference in azimuthal angle between the leading jet and the muon at low values.United States.
