    Egyptian Satirical Graphics on Social Media after the Arab Spring

    This paper investigates Egyptian digital forms of satirical graphics mostly published on Social Media by cartoonists and amateurs after the Arab Spring. These include: webcomics memes, and Graphic Interchange Format (GIF). The paper will focus on two Facebook pages as a case study: Asa7be Sarcasm Society and Islam Gawish's Elwarka/The Paper. With this aim in mind, I will show how these forms of political satire incorporate, cinema, theatre, religion, western elements and pan-Arabism to express a political view in a creative manner to appeal to a more diverse and broad audience. The first part of the paper provides a brief discussion of Arabic/Egyptian satire with specific reference to political cartoons and Egyptian youth activism on social media (specifically Facebook). It will also introduce the concept of satirical graphics and some of its concrete applications. The second part describes the methodology and provides an analysis of the case study

    Optimization of the PHYDYAS Waveforms Using the POPS Algorithm: POPS-PHYDYAS

    International audienceOrthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM) was adopted by the fourth generation (4G) of mobile communication systems to guarantee high data rates with high terminal mobility. However, OFDM ensures strict synchronism and orthogonality, which reduces the throughput and energy efficiency of the communication networks. With the advent of 5G cellular wireless communication systems, the use of non-orthogonal multiplexing schemes, which preserves the OFDM benefits without requiring high-level synchronization, becomes an important research topic. Recently, the POPS algorithm [1] has been introduced as a powerful tool to efficiently design waveforms candidates for 5G. In this paper, we propose a new design of PHYDYAS waveforms namely POPS-PHYDYAS. It is based on the mix of the POPS algorithm and the PHYDYAS filter [2]. The results confirm the advantage behind the POPS-PHYDYAS algorithm in enhancing the performance compared to multicarrier systems using the original PHYDYAS waveforms, as they are conceived by Mirabbasi-Martin [3].     Peningkatan Pencegahan Keputihan dengan Pendidikan Kesehatan Menggunakan Media Power Point Text pada Remaja Wanita

    Latar belakang: Keputihan abnormal merupakan salah satu gangguan reproduksi yang dapat terjadi pada remaja wanita akibat minimnya informasi terkait pencegahannya. Pemberian pendidikan kesehatan menggunakan media power point text diduga mampu membuat remaja wanita berfikir kritis dan mengambil keputusan terbaik untuk mencegah keputihan. Tujuan: Mengetahui pengaruh pendidikan kesehatan menggunakan power point text terhadap pencegahan keputihan pada remaja wanita. Metode: Desain penelitian yang digunakan adalah pre experimental dengan rancangan one group pretest posttest. Teknik pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan purposive sampling dan jumlah sampelnya 15 orang remaja wanita. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan adalah kuisioner berbasis online dalam bentuk google form. Analisis data menggunakan uji viabilitas, reliabilitas, dan paired sample T- test. Hasil: Pemberian pendidikan kesehatan menggunakan power point text berpengaruh dengan meningkatkan pengetahuan, sikap dan tindakan remaja wanita terkait pencegahan keputihan (p=0,000;0,006 <0,05). Kesimpulan: Pemberian pendidikan kesehatan menggunakan power point text memiliki pengaruh terhadap pengetahuan, sikap dan tindakan remaja terkait pencegahan keputihan
