MiR-106b promotes cell proliferation via targeting RB in laryngeal carcinoma

    Get PDF
MiR-106b is frequently up-regulated in various types of human cancer including laryngeal carcinoma. However the underlying mechanism of miR-106b involved in laryngeal carcinoma remains elusive. Here we showed that reduction of miR-106b induced cell cycle G0/G1 arrest by targeting tumor suppressor RB in human laryngeal carcinoma cells. Further, Introducing RB cDNA without 3'UTR abrogated miR-106b-induced cell proliferation. Finally, there was an inverse relationship between RB and miR-106b expression in laryngeal carcinoma tissues. To our knowledge, these data indicate for the first time that miR-106b directly regulate cell cycle by targeting RB in laryngeal carcinoma and that miR-106b could be potential therapeutic approaches for laryngeal carcinoma

The transport performance evaluation system building of logistics enterprises

    Get PDF
Purpose: modern logistics has a significant role in today’s society, logistics cost accounts for 35% to 50% of total logistics costs, so it’s great significance to improve the transport performance of logistics enterprises. Design/methodology/approach: the authors select the transportation performance evaluation index of logistics enterprise, with the aid of the fuzzy theory and analytic hierarchy process (AHP), adopt the combining method of quantitative and qualitative analysis, construct the transport performance evaluation system of logistics enterprises. Findings: the choice of transport performance evaluation indicator system for Logistics enterprise is in a state of "high", which indicates the indicator selection is reasonable. Research limitations/implications: the selected indicators with experts’ subjective factors can not accurately quantify. Practical implications: it has important practical significance to promote the development of modern logistics enterprises and save social cost. Originality/value: current research methods mainly include the PDCA cycle model, key performance indicators (KPI) and benchmarking method, principal component analysis method, etc. The authors for the first time with the aid of fuzzy theory and analytic hierarchy process (AHP), adopt the combining method of quantitative and qualitative research on transport performance problems.Peer Reviewe

Tailored biosynthesis of plant-derived ginsenoside Rh2 in yeast via repurposing a key promiscuous microbial enzyme

    Get PDF
With the development of synthetic biology, substantial progress has been made in the low-cost production of plant natural products in microbes. Ginsenoside Rh2 is a potential anticancer drug isolated from medicinal plant ginseng. Fermentative production of ginsenoside Rh2 in yeast has recently been investigated as an alternative strategy compared to extraction from plants. However, the titer was quite low due to low catalytic capability of the key ginseng glycosyltransferase in microorganisms. Please click on the link below for full content

A simulation study of support break-off and water inrush during mining under the high confined and thick unconsolidated aquifer

The thick Cenozoic unconsolidated aquifer is deposited under Sunan syncline core in Huaibei coalfield, the water yield property of unconsolidated bottom aquifer is strong and water pressure is high in some areas (up to 4 MPa in some areas). Water inrush accident often occurs during mining under unconsolidated aquifer, the biggest characteristic is abnormal mine pressure and support break-off during water inrush accident comparing with normal condition. In order to study mechanism of support break-off and water inrush during mining under the high confined thick unconsolidated aquifer, a simulation of similar material was designed. The experimental results indicated that, under normal condition, the compound breakage sequence of water-resisting key strata between coal seam and high confined thick unconsolidated aquifer is from top to bottom and the basic reason of synchronous fracture is the load of bottom key strata increased suddenly when the breakage of top key strata happened. Because of high confined thick unconsolidated aquifer, surface acts on the bottom key strata soil layer in the form of uniformly distributed load, which is the load-transfer mechanism of confined thick unconsolidated aquifer. Once the overlying key strata compound breaks, the height of unstable strata will reach far more than 30 meters and exceed support capability of current fully-mechanized mining supporter, which leads to support break-off accident during mining process under confined unconsolidated aquifer

Unveiling early stage autoimmune gastritis: novel endoscopic insights from two case reports

    Get PDF
The predominant characteristic of autoimmune gastritis (AIG) is corpus-dominant advanced atrophy, which is mostly observed in the middle to late stages. More reports are needed on the endoscopic features of the early stage. In this report, we present two cases of early-stage AIG in which endoscopic examinations showed no atrophy of the gastric mucosa but displayed a transition of collecting venules from a regular to an irregular arrangement. In addition, yellowish-white cobblestone-like elevations were observed in the fundic gland region. Histologically, the observed manifestations included pseudohypertrophy and protrusion of parietal cells into the lumen, possibly along with hyperplasia of G cells, lymphocytic infiltration and potentially pseudopyloric gland metaplasia. Serologically, the anti-parietal cell antibody returned positive results, whereas the anti-intrinsic factor antibody yielded negative results. In this study, we summarized some endoscopic features of two patients, aiming to provide clues for endoscopists to detect early-stage AIG

mHealth in China and the United States: How Mobile Technology is Transforming Healthcare in the World's Two Largest Economies

    Get PDF
In this paper, we explore ways mobile technology can help with these difficulties. Specifically, we look at avenues through which mobile devices boost productivity, aid communications, and help providers improve affordability, access, and treatment. Using data drawn from China and the United States as well as global trends, we look at recent developments andemerging opportunities in mobile health, or mHealth. We argue that mobile technology assists patients, health providers, and policymakers in several different respects. It helps patients by giving them tools to monitor their health conditions and communicate those results to physicians. It enables health providers to connect with colleagues and offers alternative sources of information for patients. It is also an important tool to inform policymakers on health delivery and medical outcomes

Current situation and analysis of standard filing management of food enterprises in China in 2022

ObjectiveTo provide basis for further improving the standards management of food enterprise in China, the current situation and the “stricter” indicators of food enterprise standard filing in China was analyzed, and the standard management situation of food enterprises in China was systematically understood.MethodsQuerying the provincial government service network, the official website of the Health Commission, and the food enterprise standard filing information platform were collected, and the food enterprise standard filing work and the “stricter” indicator filing in China were sort out and analyzed.ResultsThere were certain differences in the standard filing system, scope, organization, and handling methods of food enterprises in various provinces. In December 2022, 4 380 food enterprise standards were filed in China, with 91.44% (4 005/4 380) for common food at most. From the category of filling indicators, the highest proportion of pollutant indicators was 93.16% (3 707/3 979), and the highest proportion of lead in all indicators was 83.66% (3 329/3 979). 83.55% (3 195/3 824) of food enterprise standard “stricter” indicators was 0%-20%.ConclusionThere are significant differences in work modes among different provinces, and the quality of food enterprise standards filing is not high. Most filing standards use lead as a “stricter” indicator, and the majority are stricter than the percentage below 20%. The effect on improving the level of food safety management and product quality is not obvious. It’s suggested to optimize the food enterprise standard filing system and explore the feasibility of building a national enterprise standard filing information platform
