Research on three-dimensional scramiet inlet
The three-dimensional compression scramjet inlet has been investigated by using surface oil dot visualization and numerical simulation. The research has revealed the details of the internal flow pattern, which included the structure of the shock waves, the spillage, the spatial vortical structures, and the boundary layer separations etc.. These features determined the performance of the inlet, which gave the mass flow capture ratio of 0.86, total pressure recovery of 0.41. The results showed that the arrangement of the shocks is critical for such kind of inlet. More researches have been carried out to investigate the effect of the cowl shape, and the results showed the flow field would be changed little for the cowls with different shapes but the same internal contraction ratios
Association Between Preoperative Sleep Disturbance and Postoperative Delirium in Elderly: A Retrospective Cohort Study

This study aimed to evaluate the association between preoperative sleep disturbance and POD in elderly patients after non-cardiac surgery.Patients and methods: This retrospective cohort study was conducted at a single center and enrolled 489 elderly patients who underwent surgery between May 1, 2020, and March 31, 2021. Patients were divided into the sleep disorder (SD) and non-sleep disorder (NSD) groups according to the occurrence of one or more symptoms of insomnia within one month or sleep- Numerical Rating Scale (NRS)≥ 6 before surgery. The primary outcome was the incidence of POD. Propensity score matching analysis was performed between the two groups. Multiple logistic regression analysis was performed to identify the risk factors for POD.Results: In both the unmatched cohort (16.0% vs 6.7%, P=0.003) and the matched cohort (17.0% vs 6.2%, P=0.023), the incidence of POD was higher in the SD group than in the NSD group. In addition, the postoperative sleep quality and the VAS score at postoperative 24 h were significantly lower in the SD group than in the NSD group. Multivariate logistic regression analysis indicated that age (Odds Ratio, 1.13 [95% CI: 1.04– 1.23], P=0.003) and preoperative sleep disturbance (Odds Ratio, 3.03 [95% CI: 1.09– 9.52], P=0.034) were independent risk factors for the development of POD.Conclusion: The incidence of POD was higher in patients with pre-existing sleep disturbance than those without it. Transport Spectroscopy of Symmetry-Broken Insulating States in Bilayer Graphene
The flat bands in bilayer graphene(BLG) are sensitive to electric fields
E\bot directed between the layers, and magnify the electron-electron
interaction effects, thus making BLG an attractive platform for new
two-dimensional (2D) electron physics[1-5]. Theories[6-16] have suggested the
possibility of a variety of interesting broken symmetry states, some
characterized by spontaneous mass gaps, when the electron-density is at the
carrier neutrality point (CNP). The theoretically proposed gaps[6,7,10] in
bilayer graphene are analogous[17,18] to the masses generated by broken
symmetries in particle physics and give rise to large momentum-space Berry
curvatures[8,19] accompanied by spontaneous quantum Hall effects[7-9]. Though
recent experiments[20-23] have provided convincing evidence of strong
electronic correlations near the CNP in BLG, the presence of gaps is difficult
to establish because of the lack of direct spectroscopic measurements. Here we
present transport measurements in ultra-clean double-gated BLG, using
source-drain bias as a spectroscopic tool to resolve a gap of ~2 meV at the
CNP. The gap can be closed by an electric field E\bot \sim13 mV/nm but
increases monotonically with a magnetic field B, with an apparent particle-hole
asymmetry above the gap, thus providing the first mapping of the ground states

Probe R-parity violating stop resonance at the LHeC
We investigate the possibility of detecting single sqaurk production at the
proposed LHeC collider, in the framework of R-parity violating supersymmetry.
Taking advantage of the enhancement of the direct resonance production of
squark and the distinctive kinematics distributions of two body decay final states, the LHeC provides excellent opportunities of
probing R-violating interactions at unprecedented level
compared to all the knowledge derived from indirect low energy nucleon
measurements. If no apparent deviation from SM predictions on high invariant
mass of muon and b-quark final states at the LHeC with 1 data, the
sensitivities on coupling constant can be improved by nearly four orders, at energy

On the fixed point theory of soft metric spaces
[EN] The aim of this paper is to show that a soft metric induces a compatible metric on the collection of all soft points of the absolute soft set, when the set of parameters is a finite set. We then show that soft metric extensions of several important fixed point theorems for metric spaces can be directly deduced from comparable existing results. Synthesis of Indium Nanowires by Galvanic Displacement and Their Optical Properties
<p>Abstract</p> <p>Single crystalline indium nanowires were prepared on Zn substrate which had been treated in concentrated sulphuric acid by galvanic displacement in the 0.002 mol L<sup>−1</sup>In<sub>2</sub>(SO<sub>4</sub>)<sub>3</sub>-0.002 mol L<sup>−1</sup>SeO<sub>2</sub>-0.02 mol L<sup>−1</sup>SDS-0.01 mol L<sup>−1</sup>citric acid aqueous solution. The typical diameter of indium nanowires is 30 nm and most of the nanowires are over 30 μm in length. XRD, HRTEM, SAED and structural simulation clearly demonstrate that indium nanowires are single-crystalline with the tetragonal structure, the growth direction of the nanowires is along [100] facet. The UV-Vis absorption spectra showed that indium nanowires display typical transverse resonance of SPR properties. The surfactant (SDS) and the pretreatment of Zn substrate play an important role in the growth process. The mechanism of indium nanowires growth is the synergic effect of treated Zn substrate (hard template) and SDS (soft template).</p
Observation of a ppb mass threshoud enhancement in \psi^\prime\to\pi^+\pi^-J/\psi(J/\psi\to\gamma p\bar{p}) decay
The decay channel
is studied using a sample of events collected
by the BESIII experiment at BEPCII. A strong enhancement at threshold is
observed in the invariant mass spectrum. The enhancement can be fit
with an -wave Breit-Wigner resonance function with a resulting peak mass of
and a
narrow width that is at the 90% confidence level.
These results are consistent with published BESII results. These mass and width

Vacancy-Mediated Magnetism in Pure Copper Oxide Nanoparticles
Room temperature ferromagnetism (RTF) is observed in pure copper oxide (CuO) nanoparticles which were prepared by precipitation method with the post-annealing in air without any ferromagnetic dopant. X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) result indicates that the mixture valence states of Cu1+ and Cu2+ ions exist at the surface of the particles. Vacuum annealing enhances the ferromagnetism (FM) of CuO nanoparticles, while oxygen atmosphere annealing reduces it. The origin of FM is suggested to the oxygen vacancies at the surface/or interface of the particles. Such a ferromagnet without the presence of any transition metal could be a very good option for a class of spintronics
