Using system simulation to search for the optimal multi-ordering policy for perishable goods
[EN] This paper explores the possibility that perishable goods can be ordered several times in a single period after considering the cost of Marginal contribution, Marginal loss, Shortage, and Purchasing under stochastic demand. In order to determine the optimal ordering quantity to improve the traditional newsvendor and maximize the total expected profits, and then sensitivity analysis is taken to realize the influence of the parameters on total expected profits and decision variables respectively. In addition, this paper designed a multi-order computerized system with Monte Carlo method to solve the optimal solution under stochastic demand. Based on numerical examples, this paper verified the feasibility and efficiency of the proposed model. Dispersion of a single hole in the t-J model
The dispersion of a single hole in the t-J model obtained by the exact result
of 32 sites and the results obtained by self-consistent Born approximation and
the Green function Monte Carlo method can be simply derived by a mean-field
theory with d-RVB and antiferromagnetic order parameters. In addition, it
offers a simple explanation for the difference observed between those results.
The presence of the extended van Hove region at (pi,0) is a consequence of the
d-RVB pairing independenct of the antiferromagnetic order. Results including t'

Valence band photoemission from the GaN(0001) surface
A detailed investigation by one-step photoemission calculations of the
GaN(0001)-(1x1) surface in comparison with recent experiments is presented in
order to clarify its structural properties and electronic structure. The
discussion of normal and off-normal spectra reveals through the identified
surface states clear fingerprints for the applicability of a surface model
proposed by Smith et al. Especially the predicted metallic bonds are confirmed.
In the context of direct transitions the calculated spectra allow to determine
the valence band width and to argue in favor of one of two theoretical bulk
band structures. Furthermore a commonly used experimental method to fix the

Interruption of torus doubling bifurcation and genesis of strange nonchaotic attractors in a quasiperiodically forced map : Mechanisms and their characterizations
A simple quasiperiodically forced one-dimensional cubic map is shown to
exhibit very many types of routes to chaos via strange nonchaotic attractors
(SNAs) with reference to a two-parameter space. The routes include
transitions to chaos via SNAs from both one frequency torus and period doubled
torus. In the former case, we identify the fractalization and type I
intermittency routes. In the latter case, we point out that atleast four
distinct routes through which the truncation of torus doubling bifurcation and
the birth of SNAs take place in this model. In particular, the formation of
SNAs through Heagy-Hammel, fractalization and type--III intermittent mechanisms
are described. In addition, it has been found that in this system there are
some regions in the parameter space where a novel dynamics involving a sudden
expansion of the attractor which tames the growth of period-doubling
bifurcation takes place, giving birth to SNA. The SNAs created through
different mechanisms are characterized by the behaviour of the Lyapunov
exponents and their variance, by the estimation of phase sensitivity exponent

Anomalous metamagnetism in the low carrier density Kondo lattice YbRh3Si7
We report complex metamagnetic transitions in single crystals of the new low
carrier Kondo antiferromagnet YbRh3Si7. Electrical transport, magnetization,
and specific heat measurements reveal antiferromagnetic order at T_N = 7.5 K.
Neutron diffraction measurements show that the magnetic ground state of
YbRh3Si7 is a collinear antiferromagnet where the moments are aligned in the ab
plane. With such an ordered state, no metamagnetic transitions are expected
when a magnetic field is applied along the c axis. It is therefore surprising
that high field magnetization, torque, and resistivity measurements with H||c
reveal two metamagnetic transitions at mu_0H_1 = 6.7 T and mu_0H_2 = 21 T. When
the field is tilted away from the c axis, towards the ab plane, both
metamagnetic transitions are shifted to higher fields. The first metamagnetic
transition leads to an abrupt increase in the electrical resistivity, while the
second transition is accompanied by a dramatic reduction in the electrical
resistivity. Thus, the magnetic and electronic degrees of freedom in YbRh3Si7
are strongly coupled. We discuss the origin of the anomalous metamagnetism and
conclude that it is related to competition between crystal electric field

Charmonium states in QCD-inspired quark potential model using Gaussian expansion method
We investigate the mass spectrum and electromagnetic processes of charmonium
system with the nonperturbative treatment for the spin-dependent potentials,
comparing the pure scalar and scalar-vector mixing linear confining potentials.
It is revealed that the scalar-vector mixing confinement would be important for
reproducing the mass spectrum and decay widths, and therein the vector
component is predicted to be around 22%. With the state wave functions obtained
via the full-potential Hamiltonian, the long-standing discrepancy in M1
radiative transitions of and are alleviated
spontaneously. This work also intends to provide an inspection and suggestion
for the possible among the copious higher charmonium-like states.
Particularly, the newly observed X(4160) and X(4350) are found in the
charmonium family mass spectrum as MeV and MeV, which strongly favor the assignments
respectively. The corresponding radiative transitions, leptonic and two-photon
decay widths have been also predicted theoretically for the further

Partial Wave Analysis of
BES data on are presented. The
contribution peaks strongly near threshold. It is fitted with a
broad resonance with mass MeV, width MeV. A broad resonance peaking at 2020 MeV is also required
with width MeV. There is further evidence for a component
peaking at 2.55 GeV. The non- contribution is close to phase

Prostate cancer and Hedgehog signalling pathway
[Abstract] The Hedgehog (Hh) family of intercellular signalling proteins have come to be recognised as key mediators in many fundamental processes in embryonic development. Their activities are central to the growth, patterning and morphogenesis of many different regions within the bodies of vertebrates. In some contexts, Hh signals act as morphogens in the dose-dependent induction of distinct cell fates within a target field, in others as mitogens in the regulation of cell proliferation or as inducing factors controlling the form of a developing organ. These diverse functions of Hh proteins raise many intriguing questions about their mode of action. Various studies have now demonstrated the function of Hh signalling in the control of cell proliferation, especially for stem cells and stem-like progenitors. Abnormal activation of the Hh pathway has been demonstrated in a variety of human tumours. Hh pathway activity in these tumours is required for cancer cell proliferation and tumour growth. Recent studies have uncovered the role for Hh signalling in advanced prostate cancer and demonstrated that autocrine signalling by tumour cells is required for proliferation, viability and invasive behaviour. Thus, Hh signalling represents a novel pathway in prostate cancer that offers opportunities for prognostic biomarker development, drug targeting and therapeutic response monitoring
