    Pesisir Kota Cirebon secara fisik memiliki sumberdaya yang potensial untuk dikembangkan kedepannya. Permasalahan yang terjadi saat ini, bahwa dari pemanfaatan lahan yang ada di kawasan pesisir tersebut belum dapat meningkatkan perekonomian masyarakat pesisir. Hal tersebut tercermin dari jumlah keluarga miskin mencapai 41%, pendapatan yang diperoleh masyarakat masih dalam kategori rendah, 47% masyarakat bekerja sebagai buruh, indeks daya beli didua kecamatan pada kawasan studi juga paling rendah diantara kecamatan lainnya di Kota Cirebon dan masih banyaknya jumlah pencari kerja. Metode analisis yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode analisis data kualitatif dan metode analisis data kuantitatif dengan menggunakan alat analisa Linear Programming. Dari hasil analisis yang telah dilakukan maka rekomendasi yang dapat diberikan adalah memaksimalkan pemanfaatan lahan pelabuhan dan perdagangan jasa sebagai alternatif kombinasi pemanfaatan lahan yang mampu meningkatkan pertumbuhan perekonomian dikawasan pesisir Kota Cirebon

    To realize the expectation that students be creative and have a mathematical problem-solving ability is good, of course also needed a learning model based on creative problem solving. Among the learning model in question is the learning model Treffinger. This learning model will make students more active and make learning more fun activities. The author would like to see if an increase in the ability of students to solve problems that get Treffinger models better than the students who received the conventional model?. The method that I use in this study is the experimental method, that is by giving the treatment at two different sample classes. Based on the research results of the final test can be concluded there is an increase in the ability of students to solve problems that get better Treffinger models compared with the students who get a conventional model

    On determination of the geometric cosmological constant from the OPERA experiment of superluminal neutrinos

    The recent OPERA experiment of superluminal neutrinos has deep consequences in cosmology. In cosmology a fundamental constant is the cosmological constant. From observations one can estimate the effective cosmological constant Λeff\Lambda_{eff} which is the sum of the quantum zero point energy Λdarkenergy\Lambda_{dark energy} and the geometric cosmological constant Λ\Lambda. The OPERA experiment can be applied to determine the geometric cosmological constant Λ\Lambda. It is the first time to distinguish the contributions of Λ\Lambda and Λdarkenergy\Lambda_{dark energy} from each other by experiment. The determination is based on an explanation of the OPERA experiment in the framework of Special Relativity with de Sitter space-time symmetry.Comment: 7 pages, no figure

    Effect of Methanol Induction and Incubation TIME on Expression of Human Erythropoietin in Methylotropic Yeast Pichia Pastoris

    Erythropoietin (EPO) is a glycoprotein hormone consists of 165 amino acids and has molecular mass of 30,400 Daltons. The large quantities of these hormone required to satisfy clinical demand are currently met by recombinant expression in mammalian cell, namely chinese hamster ovary (CHO).  Pichia pastoris has become popular yeast based protein production systems to substitute mammalian expression systems. P. pastoris is capable to use methanol as sole carbon and energy source. In this study, recombinant human EPO (rhEPO) protein obtained by expressing the hEPO gene in methylotropic yeast  P. pastoris,  strain X33. The present work was carried out to study the optimal methanol concentration for induction and the incubation time to obtain rhEPO protein. To perform this study, the transformed P. pastoris was induced with various concentrations of methanol (0%, 0.5%, 1%, 2.5%, 5%, 10%, and 20%) and incubation times (0 hours, 24 hours, 48 hours, 72 hours, 96 hours, 120 hours, and 144 hours). The results demonstrate that the highest protein expression level occurred at concentration of 2.5% methanol induction, while the optimal incubation time was at 48 hrs

    Human resources are a supporting factor for companies to survive in competition. Compensation plays an important role in improving employee performance, one of the main reasons a person works is to make ends meet. Someone will work maximally to get the compensation in accordance with expectations. The compensation policy in addition to rewarding employees for the work performed by employees is also one way to retain potential employees. Based on the variables studied, the research method used in this research is descriptive and associative method. Descriptive research is a study conducted to determine the value of independent variables and does not make the comparison of variables with other variables Descriptive research here aims to obtain a picture of direct compensation, indirect compensation and employee performance at PT Pranata Jaya Abadi. While the method of associative research is research that aims to determine the influence or also the relationship between two variables or more. The results of this study show a multiple linear regression equation as follows: Y = 0.414 + 0.997X1 + 0.866X2, which can be interpreted as that the variables X1 and X2 are zero (0), then the variable Y will be worth 0.414 units; if the direct compensation (X1) increases by one unit and the other variable is constant, then the Y variable will increase by 0.997 units, and if the indirect compensation (X2) increases by one unit and the other variable is constant, then the Y variable will increase by 0.866 units. The conclusion of this study obtained the value of determination coefficient of 82.7% or the value of 0.827 which indicates the meaning that direct compensation (X1) and indirect compensation (X2) gives simultaneous effect of 82.7% on employee performance (Y ). While the rest of 17.3% influenced by other factors that ignored the author. The value of Adjusted R2 0.820 or the value of 82.0% indicating the meaning that, if there are other independent variables to be included, direct and indirect compensation variables, remain to have an effect of 82.0%.     Front-end multi-channel PMT-associated readout chip for hodoscope application

    International audienceThe system development requires a dedicated multi-channel readout ASIC (Application Specific Integrated Circuit) to be associated with the MaPMTs. Each channel should have very low input impedance to avoid electrical crosstalk between adjacent channels and to minimize effects of detector and wiring capacitances (Cd + Cw). Crosstalk between channels may degrade position resolution, while these capacitances may degrade both frequency and noise performances. Each channel should also provide two separated outputs corresponding respectively to high-speed signal-event detection and low-noise signal-charge quantification at low counting rate. This paper presents a readout chip for this purpose. It has been designed in a 0.35µm SiGe BiCMOS process (AMS). This process allows the use of RF and large-transconductance bipolar components, which is useful for the design of wide-band, low-impedance and low-noise circuits with improved performances

    Aktivitas Antidiare Ekstrak Etanol Daun Suji (Dracaena Angustifolia Roxb)

    Penyakit diare masih menjadi masalah kesehatan terutama diberbagai Negara berkembang termasuk Indonesia. Secara tradisional masyarakat telah menggunakan daun Suji (Dracaena angustifoliaRoxb L.) untuk mengatasi berbagai gangguan pencernaan termasuk diare.Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menguji aktivitas antidiare dan antibakteri ekstrak etanol daun suji. Ekstraksi dilakukan dengan metode refluks menggunakan pelarut etanol 96 %.Uji aktivitas antimikroba dilakukan secara invitro dengan menggunakan metode broth microdilution terhadap ekstrak. Mikroba uji yang digunakan adalah Escherichia coli, Shigella dysenteriae, Shigella flexneri, dan Salmonella typhi. Dilakukan uji antidiare pada hewan uji yang diinduksi minyak jarak. Sediaan uji diberikan satu jam sebelum induksi kemudian dilakukan pengamatan terhadap feses (frekuensi, konsistensi dan berat). Metode waktu lintas usus juga dilakukan pada percobaan ini dengan prinsip membandingkan usus yang dilalui marker dengan panjang usus seluruhnya. Dari pengujian antibakteri ekstrak daun suji mempunyai kemampuan penghambatan pada bakteri Shigella dysenteriae, Shigella flexneri, Eschericia coli, dan Salmonella typhi, dengan KHM berturut-turut 25000 µg/ml, 25000 µg/ml, 12500 µg/ml, dan > 25000 µg/ml. Dari hasil uji aktivitas antidiare daun suji kelompok dosis ekstrak yang mempunyai aktivitas dalam memproteksi diare oleh minyak jarak yaitu dosis 50 mg/kgbb, dosis ini dapat menurunkan frekuensi defekasi berbeda bermakna disbanding kelompok kontrol (p<0,05) , dosis 25 mg/kgbb dan 100 mg/kgbb dapat meningkatkan konsistensi dan menurunkan berat feses

    10 x 112Gb/s PDM-QPSK transmission over 5032 km in few-mode fibers

    Few-mode fibers (FMFs) are used for the first time to transmit over 5000 km. Ten WDM channels with 50GHz channel spacing at 112 Gb/s per channel using PDM-QPSK are launched into the fundamental mode of the FMFs by splicing single-mode fibers directly to the FMFs. Even though few-mode fibers can support an additional spatial mode LP11 at 1550 nm, the signal remains in the fundamental mode and does not experience mode coupling throughout fiber transmission. After each span the signal is collected by a second single-mode fiber which is also spliced to the FMF. Span loss is compensated by single-mode EDFAs before it is launched to the next FMF span. The lack of mode coupling ensures that the signal does not suffer any impairments that may result from differential mode delay or excess loss. Therefore the FMFs used in this single-mode operation have the same bandwidth as single-mode fibers. Experimental results verified that FMFs have the significant advantage of large core size which reduces the nonlinear impairments suffered by the signal. It is shown that FMFs with an effective area of 130 mu m(2), have an optimum launch power 2 dB higher compared to standard single-mode fibers and as a result a 1.1 dB improvement in the Q-factor is obtained after 3000 km
