Gluon saturation and pseudo-rapidity distributions of charged hadrons at RHIC energy regions
We modified the gluon saturation model by rescaling the momentum fraction
according to saturation momentum and introduced the Cooper-Frye hydrodynamic
evolution to systematically study the pseudo-rapidity distributions of final
charged hadrons at different energies and different centralities for Au-Au
collisions in relativistic heavy-ion collisions at BNL Relativistic Heavy Ion
Collider (RHIC). The features of both gluon saturation and hydrodynamic
evolution at different energies and different centralities for Au-Au collisions

Surface Temperature of Creep Heat Mat as Affected by Piglet Use
In a previous study (3), the temperature (Tmat) distribution of commercial creep heat mats had been examined under static laboratory conditions. This follow-up study evaluated Tmat of a selected heat mat as influenced by the activities of piglets in experimental farrowing crates. The heat mat was operated either with regulated power input by embedded temperature sensors or with constant power input. Embedded temperature sensors were found to facilitate the controllability of Tmat, and thus were recommended. When piglets rested on sensor-regulated heat mat, Tmat rose in the occupied region and declined in the unoccupied region, with temperature differences between the two regions ranging from 7 to 12°C (13 to 22°F). The temperature feedback control generally allowed for the maintenance of thermal comfort of piglets. In comparison, mats without temperature feedback control could become undesirably warm (\u3e43°C; 109°F) for the piglets
Orbital-transverse density-wave instabilities in iron-based superconductors
Besides the conventional spin-density-wave (SDW) state, a new kind of
orbital-transverse density-wave (OTDW) state is shown to exist generally in
multi-orbital systems. We demonstrate that the orbital character of Fermi
surface nesting plays an important role in density responses. The relationship
between antiferromagnetism and structural phase transition in LaFeAsO (1111)
and BaFeAs (122) compounds of iron-based superconductors may be
understood in terms of the interplay between the SDW and OTDW with a
five-orbital Hamiltonian. We propose that the essential difference between 1111
and 122 compounds is crucially determined by the presence of the
two-dimensional -like Fermi surface around (0,0) being only in 1111

Cosmological perturbations and noncommutative tachyon inflation
The motivation for studying the rolling tachyon and non-commutative inflation
comes from string theory. In the tachyon inflation scenario, metric
perturbations are created by tachyon field fluctuations during inflation. We
drive the exact mode equation for scalar perturbation of the metric and
investigate the cosmological perturbations in the commutative and
non-commutative inflationary spacetime driven by the tachyon field which have a
