    The purpose of this research was to analyze the suitability of the material in the Geography textbook for Class XI Curriculum 2013 published by Mediatama based on the BSNP Textbook Criteria and the completeness of the 21st century (4C) skill components. This research uses qualitative research with a content analysis approach. The research subject used was the Geography textbook Class XI Curriculum 2013 Revised Edition published by Mediatama. The research subject was the Geography textbook for Class XI of the 2013 Curriculum, Revised Edition published by Mediatama. The data validity was done by triangulating the source. The research found that the books most used by the MGMP Sukoharjo were feasible (87,61%). Based on the results of the analysis, according to the material expert, chapter I has the highest aspect is creative thinking and communication aspects (100% completeness), chapter III is critical thinking, creative thinking and communication (100% completeness), chapter VII is critical and creative. think (100% complete). According to practitioners, chapter I is collaboration aspect (completeness 100%), chapter III creative thinking (completeness 85.7%), chapter VII critical thinking (completeness 89%). According to researchers, chapter I is creative thinking, communication, and collaboration (100% complete), chapter III and chapter VII are 100%.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kesesuaian materi dalam buku teks Geografi Kelas XI Kurikulum 2013 Terbitan Mediatama berdasarkan Kriteria Buku Teks BSNP dan kelengkapan komponen keterampilan abad 21 (4C). Sejalan dengan tujuan maka penelitain ini menggunakan jenis penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan analisis isi. Subjek penelitian yang digunakan adalah Buku teks Geografi Kelas XI Kurikulum 2013 Edisi Revisi terbitan Mediatama. Pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini dilakukan dengan cara wawancara secara langsung dan instrumen penelitian berupa kuesioner untuk ahli materi dan praktisi pembelajar (guru). Keabsahan data dilakukan dengan triangulasi sumber. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa buku yang paling banyak digunakan MGMP Sukoharjo dikatakan layak digunakan (87.61%). Berdasarkan analisis, menurut ahli materi bab I memiliki aspek tertinggi berfikir kreatif dan komunikasi (kelengkapan 100%), bab III berpikir kritis, kreatif dan komunikasi (kelengkapan 100%), bab VII berpikir kritis dan kreatif (kelengkapan 100%). Menurut praktisi bab I memiliki aspek tertinggi kolaborasi (kelengkapan 100%), bab III berpikir kreatif (kelengkapan 85,7%), bab VII berpikir kritis (kelengkapan 89%). Menurut peneliti bab I memiliki aspek tertinggi berpikir kreatif, komunikasi, dan kolaborasi (kelengkapan 100%), bab III dan bab VII dikatakan bahwa semua keterampilan abad 21 memiliki kelengkapan 100%

    Preparedness and Adaptive Capacity of Students for Landslide Disasters in Karangkobar, Central Java, Indonesia

    Landslides are disasters that often hit several areas in Banjarnegara Regency. The worst landslide incident which claimed many victims occurred on December 12, 2014, in Jemblung Hamlet, Sampang Village, Karangkobar District, which resulted in the settlement of one hamlet being buried. The high risk of landslides in the Karangkobar District necessitates adequate preparedness and capacity. The focus of the research was to determine (1) the level of student preparedness for landslides in Karangkobar District, (2) the level of student adaptive capacity for landslides in Karangkobar District, and (3) the relationship between preparedness and student adaptive capacity. The researchers used a quantitative descriptive method and collected data using questionnaires, observations, and secondary data on disaster events from the Central Regional Management Agency (BPBD) of Banjarnegara Regency. Four junior high schools in the Karangkobar District were studied. The findings showed that preparedness was homogeneous across the four schools. The level of preparedness was moderate, with an index of 71% - 75%. MTs Muhammadiyah Karangkobar was in the high category for adaptive capacity with 80.54%, and other schools were classified as medium. Preparedness correlated with adaptive capacity, with a significance value of 0.035 (<0.05). Keywords: disaster, preparedness, adaptive capacity, landslid

    Children or students and parents or teachers are groups vulnerable to disasters. To reduce vulnerability, it is necessary to increase capacity to prevent, reduce, and mitigate disaster risk. The problem that occurs is that the capacity in schools is still relatively low. This study aims to 1) analyze the level of vulnerability of elementary schools to earthquakes in the Subdistrict ofgantiwarno, Klaten Regency and 2) analyze the level of capacity of elementary schools in reducing the risk of earthquake disasters in the Subdistrict ofgantiwarno, Klaten Regency. This type of research is quantitative with a comparative research design. The sample in this study amounted to 91 teachers. Techniques and instruments of data collection using a questionnaire. The data analysis technique used descriptive statistics. The results showed that 1) the highest average score on the indicator of the level of physical vulnerability was 2.41, namely at SD Muhammadiyahgantiwarno, while on the indicator of the level of social vulnerability, SDN 2 Ceporan took the first position as the school with the highest level of social vulnerability which had a score of 2. an average of 2.64 and 2) the highest average value on the information capacity level indicator with an average value of 3.07 is SDN 1 Jabung. In terms of facilities capacity level indicators, SDN 1 Gesikan occupies the first position as the school with the highest level of facility capacity with an average score of 3.22. The highest average score at the level of network capacity is SDN 1 Gersik with an average score of 3.6. On the indicator of the level of knowledge capacity, SDN 1 Jabung occupies the first position as the school with the highest level of knowledge capacity with an average score of 2.86. Efforts are needed to reduce vulnerability and increase school capacity, so as to create good earthquake preparedness and create disaster-safe schools

    Watershed is an area of land which is a unity with the river and its tributaries, which serves to accommodate, store and drain water from rainfall to the lake or into the sea naturally. The watershed area is need for zones function area based on physical diversity that belonged to. The method of this research is overlaying map parameters to produce a map of land units, each unit of land has a value score of the three factors then the value is added together will produce a certain amount of score. A score of map land units were then classified into the area with a particular function. The results of the analysis showed that the most extensive areas of functionality in the Progo Regency of Bantul based on physical conditions i.e. the area of cultivation of annuals and settlements with an area of 10104.48 Ha. The results of the analysis show that there are four classes of suitability between the functions of the area with the actual land use in appropriate classes namely Progo, not appropriate, is not appropriate and not transferrable usage, and inappropriate and violate the law

    This study aims to describe teacher and student perceptions of distance learning in geography subjects at SMA N 1 Bae Kudus. The type of research used is descriptive quantitative. Collecting data by using questionnaires and interviews with two teachers and students of class X and XI majoring in Social Sciences. Data collection instrument with Likert scale. The results showed that the features of media technology in increasing intimacy through online media during the covid-19 pandemic at SMA N 1 Bae Kudus were not good because the acceptance of material presented by the teacher to students had problems using cellphones, signals and did not understand the use of the application. Lack of technical skills among teachers is another important reason and teachers' teaching styles and communication between teachers and students are not going well

    Landslide is a disaster that has the potential to hit several areas in Cepogo District, the high risk of landslides requires adequate preparedness and capacity. The aims of the study were to (1) analyze the level of student preparedness for landslides at SMA Negeri 1 Cepogo, Boyolali Regency, (2) analyze the level of students' adaptive capacity to landslides at SMA Negeri 1 Cepogo, Boyolali Regency. Researchers used a quantitative descriptive method and collected data using a questionnaire, observation, and secondary data. The population in this study was SMA N 1 Cepogo, totaling 672 students with a sample of 88 students. The data analysis technique uses the preparedness index and adaptive capacity of students. The research findings show that 1. The level of preparedness of Cepogo 1 Public High School students regarding landslides as measured using parameters in the form of disaster knowledge, policies, emergency response plans, early warning and resource mobilization from the results of data management shows that the level of preparedness is classified as ready with a value of 78.75 . 2. Students' adaptive capacity regarding landslides is measured using five parameters, namely experiential knowledge, social learning, individual competence, access to resources, adaptation of the results of data management showing that students' adaptive capacity regarding landslides is high with a value of 0.6

    This study aims to describe the effect of school infrastructure on distance learning and student learning outcomes in geography at SMA N 3 Klaten, SMA N 1 Karanganom and SMA N 1 Wonosari. The type of research used is quantitative. Collecting data by means of questionnaires and interviews with class X teachers majoring in social studies. Data collection instrument with a Likert scale. The results of the study show that the quality of infrastructure affects the learning outcomes of class X students because the features of media technology in distance learning increase the closeness between students and teachers through online media during the Covid-19 pandemic taking place at SMA N 3 Klaten, SMA N 1 Karanganom and SMA N 1 Wonosari is quite good because the acceptance of the material conveyed by the teacher to students there is no problem whatsoever in using cellphones, signals and using applications. The teacher's practical technical skills in utilizing infrastructure facilities in schools make it easy for students to understand the material presented by the teacher

    Kabupaten Boyolali merupakan salah satu wilayah yang sering terdampak bencana angin puting beliung. Bencana angin puting beliung hampir setiap tahun terjadi menjelang musim hujan tiba dan mengakibatkan kerugian material serta korban luka. Salah wilayah di Kabupaten Boyolali yang sering terdampak bencana angin puting beliung adalahi Desa Munggur. Oleh karena itu, kegiatan ini bertujuan sebagai Penguatan Literasi Mitigasi Bencana Angin Puting Beliung untuk Peningkatan Kapasitas Masyarakat Desa Munggur, Kabupaten Boyolali, Jawa Tengah. Upaya tersebut dilakukan melalui edukasi yang dilakukan dalam focus group discussion (FGD). FGD tersebut dihadiri oleh 50 warga, kepala desa, perangkat desa serta tokoh masyarakat. FGD dimulai dengan pemaparan materi yang berisi pengetahuan ilmiah (scientific knowledge), dilanjutkan dengan sesi tanya jawab. Hasil edukasi adalah peningkatan literasi masyarakat Desa Munggur tentang bencana angin puting beliung serta upaya mitigasinya yang diintegrasikan dengan kearifan lokal (local knowledge), sehingga terjadi sinergi antara kearifan lokal (local knowledge) dan pengetahuan ilmiah (scientific knowledge). Sinergi tersebut diharapkan dapat meningkatkan kapasitas (capacity) masyarakat, sehingga tingkat risiko (risk) bencana angin puting beliung dapat diturunkan

    Abstract: River flooding has become a serious disruption for community which lives in downstream area of a watershed. Comal Watershed is annually experience river flooding caused by Comal River. Therefore, it is necessary to proper mitigation planning. This study organized the arrangement of river flooding non-structural mitigation planning. Qualitative approach was used in this study; not to mention the research design utilzed literature study and field survey. Literature study was used for finding out the river flood events record and affected area in downdstream area of Comal Watershed. Meanwhile, field survey was conducted to overview the socio-cultural condition of the community which live in it. The results indicated that river flooding non-structural mitigation planning area in downdstream area of Comal Watershed consisted of spatial planning in harmony with landuse management of Comal Watershed, detection and prediction of the Comal River discharge conditions through recording and observing hydrometeorological data, management planning of riparian zone, Disaster literacy toward schools and community, community communication system improvement, local wisdom enhancement, evacuation route arrangement, early warning system utilization, disaster simulation and reforestation. Mitigation planning is not only the responsibility of the government, but requires awareness and cooperation from the community
