The purpose of this study was to determine the best dose interaction and liquid organic fertilizer and compost rind cocoa to the growth of oil palm seedlings in Main nursery. The research was conducted from September 2014 to January 2015. The research was conducted using a completely randomized design consisting of two factors and three replications. The first factor is the provision of liquid organic reeds fertilizer with 4 dose level consisting (0, 50, 75 and 100 ml / 1 liter of water. The second factor is the provision of compost rind cocoa with 4 dose level consisting (0, 50, 100 and 150 g / 8 kg soil (37.5 tons / ha). Data were analyzed using analysis of variance followed by a further test DNMRT at 5% level. Parameters measured were high increment, in the number of leaves, tubers circumference, crown root ratio and seedling dry weight. The results showed that administration of a liquid organic fertilizer 50 ml / l and compost rind cocoa 150 g / polybag, showed increased growth of oil palm seedlings to the seedling height parameters, number of leaves, dry weight of seedlings and did not show an increase in the circumference hump and the ratio of the root crow

This studyaims to determine the effective eness of compound fertilizer and Cuon the vegetative growth of oil palm (Elaeisguineensis Jacq.) inpeat land. This research has been carried out in village Rantau Bais ,sub-district Tanah Putih, Rokan Hilir regency from March to July 2014. This study used arandomized block design (RBD) factorial consisting of two factors. First factoris thedoses of compound fertilizer NPK (M),consists of 4 levels is: without NPK fertilizer, 400g/plant NPKfertilizer application, 600g/plant NPK fertilizer as and 800g/plant NPK fertilizer. Second factoris thedoses of Cu(C)fertilizerin4levels is: withoutCu fertilizer application, 25g/plant Cufertilizer application, 50g/plant fertilizer application and 75g/plant Cufertilizer aplication. Parameter observed was the increase in plant height, number of fronds, added girth and length fronds. Data were analyzed statistically using ANOVA followed by Duncan\u27s test at the 5% level. The results showed that the best interaction demonstrated by NPK compound fertilizers of 800 g/plant and fertilizer Cu of 75 g/plant was effective in increasing the length of the stem but not effective in increasing plant height, number of fronds and increase girth. The NPK compound fertilizers are not effectivelyall parameters. Copper fertilizer of 75 g/plant was effective in increasing the length of the stem, but not effectively for other parameters

The objectives of this research to determine the soil biological properties on the acidic mineral soil Dystrudepts in the area of disc palm oil applied of organic mulch Mucuna bracteata in the experimental garden of Agriculture Faculty, Riau University. Analysis of the soil biological was conducted in the Soil Laboratory of Agriculture Faculty, Riau University, in October 2014 to February 2015. Application of mulch organic M. bracteata used purposive random sampling method which consisting of 4 levels and 4 replications. The levels is M0 (0 kg /plant), M1 (15 kg /plant), M2 (30 kg /plant) and M3 (45 kg /plant). Parameter observed : calculate the amount of soil biota macrofauna, mesofauna and microorganism. Data were analyzed deskriptively statistically. The research showed application of organic mulch M. bracteata 45 kg/plant increased the amount of soil biota macrofauna, mesofauna and microorganism soil, in the area of disc palm oil

This study aimed to compare macrofauna of burnt and unburned peat soil and to know the effect of time increase after fire to macrofauna peat soil. This research was conducted by survey method, sampling for soil macrofauna data determined by purposive random sampling method that is by choosing the location in accordance with the purpose of research. The soil samples were taken on unburnt peatland, in peat a week after fires and in peat 4 months after fires with a capture area of 1 m x 1 m at a depth of up to 15 cm taken 6 samples so that there were 18 samples. The data obtained from the results of research and calculations are listed in table form. Then the data is analyzed statistically descriptive. The results of this study indicate the type and number of macrofauna individual soil on peat is not burned more than peat a week after the fire and, peat 4 months after the fire. Time-increasing effects on peat a week after a fire have increased the type and number of macrofauna because macrofauna proliferate in peat 4 months after the fire

This study aims to determine the abundance (type and amount) soil mesofauna and rubber tree growth (Havea Brasiliensis Muell. Arg) in peat soil with different conditions of Mucuna bracteata. This research has been conducted in peat soil at social plantation area of PT. RAPP Teluk Meranti from January to March 2016. Analysis soil mesofauna and analysis soil carried out in the laboratory of soil science, Faculty of Agriculture, University of Riau. This research used purposive random sampling namely in rubber contained Mucuna bracteata life, Mucuna bracteata dead and without Mucuna bracteata. Determining the plant sample was randomly with diagonal method in order to get 5 rubber trees that are Mucuna bracteata life, 5 Mucuna bracteata dead and 5 without Mucuna bracteata. Data obtained from the calculation and interpretation of the data be stated in tables and analyzed statistically descriptive. The research show that in stands of rubber trees in the peat soil contained Mucuna bracteata life shows number of individual, family and population density (Kp) soil mesofauna is highest compared with Mucuna bracteata dead and without Mucuna bracteata. Abundance of soil mesofauna highest in rubber tree stands on peat soil which are Mucuna bracteata life dominated by the family Macrohelidae, Mucuna bracteata dead dominated by the family Macrohelidae and without Mucuna bracteata dominated by the family Hirudisomatidae. The rubber tree that is Mucuna bracteata life having the average circle stems is larger compared with Mucuna bracteta dead and without Mucuna bracteata

The purpose of this research was to determine the physical properties of acid Dystrudepts in the circle area of palm oil plant applied the organic mulch of Mucuna bracteata. Soil physical analysis carried out in the soil laboratory of Agriculture Faculty, University of Riau, on October 2014 to February 2015. Application of organic mulch Mucuna bracteata. This research was arranged on using Completely Rendomized Design (CDR) nonfactorial that consists of 4 treatments and 4 replications . The treatments consisted of M0 (0 kg/plant), M1 (15 kg/plant), M2 (30 kg/plant) and M3 (45 kg/ plant). Parameters measured were soil moisture, soil temperature, organic matter, bulk density, total of pore space and infiltration. Research suggests that the application of organic mulch Mucuna bracteata increase soil organic matter and improving soil physical

One effort to improve the chemical properties of peat soils and the growth of rubber trees is by planting a legume cover crop Mucuna bracteata. The research aims to determine the chemical properties of the soil and the growth of rubber trees in peat soils without overgrown Mucuna bracteata with peat soils ex overgrown Mucuna bracteata and peat soil that overgrown Mucuna bracteata. The research was conducted in January – March 2016 in peat land at social plantation areal of PT. RAPP Teluk Meranti. The research was conducted by survey method where the determination of location specified by Stratified Random Sampling method and the determination of sample point specified by Simple Random Sampling method. The results showed that peat soil which is overground Mucuna bracteata has a pH value, C-organic, N-total, P-total, KTK, KB and the growth of rubber trees better than peat soils ex overgrown Mucuna bracteata and peat soils withouth overgrown Mucuna bracteata
