Moral norms and the forgotten virtue of Epikeia in the pastoral care of the divorced and remarried
The virtue of epikeia is relevant for many issues that arise in contemporary
society, including pastoral concerns in our parish communities, among which, a
particularly diffcult one is the pastoral care of the divorced and remarried.
is article will include two parts. First, I will focus on how the understanding
of epikeia developed historically in order to present its various nuances
systematically. I will clarify the different nuances of the understanding of this
virtue in three key authors representative of the tradition. Second, I will raise a
number of questions for the further examination of the issue of the pastoral care
of the divorced and remarried.peer-reviewe
Effects of Oxymethylene Ether in a Commercial Diesel Engine
Oxymethylen Ether (OME) is a promising alternative fuel for diesel engines. It can be produced sustainably, and its combustion is clean and efficient. This study investigates the effects of different OME mixtures on emissions and combustion. The measurements were done on a four-cylinder common rail commercial diesel engine equipped with an exhaust gas recirculation system (EGR). Five different blends of OME and B7 diesel were applied with 0, 7, 15, 25 and 45 vol% OMEcontent at four loads. The NO–PM trade-off was investigated at 11 EGR rates for each mixture at each load. Increasing OME mixing ratio reduced the PM emission, improved the NO–PM trade-off, and increased the brake thermal efficiency. The maximum achieved PM emission reduction was 86.8% for high loads. However, NO emission increased, and also low heat capacity and viscosity can be a problem for real applications
Prepare for being old as long as there is still time
The content of the paper concerns the reflection on the responsibility for aging from the individual-ethical point of view, as well as party from the socio-ethical one. In the empirical aspect, there will be presented the science currently particularly important for getting old, namely genetics. In terms of anthropology some values of aging will be considered for human dignity, freedom and historicity. Single ethical realizations concern generations contract, learning how to shape time especially social time a central task of a family, erotica and sexuality in old age, integration of their own life story and biblical interpretation of these tasks

Analyzuje četnost historických a přírodovědných článků.
Effects of Oxymethylene Ether in a Commercial Diesel Engine
Oxymethylen Ether (OME) is a promising alternative fuel for diesel engines. It can be produced sustainably, and its combustion is clean and efficient.
