The collapse of the communist regime in Romania, in December 1989,determined, at a very short time, the disappearance of the co-operative sector, once Law 18(Land Law) was enforced in February 1991, which initiated the land ownership reform. Inthis context, the re-activation or more concretely, the reconfiguration of a new co-operativesector in full process of recognition and reconstitution of the private land ownership seemedimpossible to achieve.co-operative sector, Common Agricultural Policy (CAP), European-type co-operative,knowledge transfer operation

MEDICINAL AND AROMATIC PLANTS (MAP) – A CHAIN OF COMPETITIVENESS IN ROMANIAN AGRICULTURE

On agro-food products’ market of the European Market a saturation of products has been reached, attaining the stage of limitation, by means of certain policies and specific levers, of the expansion of this market. Romania faced the situation of member state of EU, when, after year 2006, it entered a harsh competition, in which the predominant word is saturation. This is the reason for which the post-accession studies in agriculture must aim both at valorizing the natural potential of not-exploited or less exploited resources of Romania, and at finding out solutions to increase competitiveness of the field, in which Romania feels threatened, aiming first of all at the markets of traditional products. Competitiveness is based on criteria of economic efficiency, according to which an important place takes the rational and efficient exploitation of the natural resources, especially in agriculture. In order to point out the significance of MAP cultures, we will make a comparison of some indicators of efficience of the wheat, corn, colza cultures and several medicinal plants which were cultivated and studied. The comparison will be made taking into consideration both the data of average efficiency in case of MAP (using classical technologies, without applying the knowledge discovered by the researches of the field), and the maximal ones on the crops and MAP cultures (by application of knowledge resulted from agronomic research specific for the improvement of the technology of each species of MAP). This field MAP is so much the more important for Romania as this country owns elements of environment favourable for a potential exploitation of the medical aromatic plants, without affecting the traditional cultures in the agricultural areas.Agribusiness, Community/Rural/Urban Development, Crop Production/Industries,

Given the conditions of European Strategy for Labour which was ratified also by Romania, that states an intensifying implementation at national level of labour policies and especially those regarding young person labour market integration, and taking into consideration the great human and agricultural potential of Lower Danube Region, we consider the implementation of national and regional programmes in order to train agriculture and rural development specialists to be very necessary. This article inquires the necessity of training agriculture and rural development specialists within Lower Danube Region in the context of cross-border cooperation between Romania and Bulgaria. This research starts by analysing the European and national legal framework of adult training in those two fields. Subsequently, the main premises and advantages of those activities were emphasized. It is good to mention that the Academy of Economic Studies in Bucharest, Romania, and the D. Tsenov Academy of Economics in Svishtov, Bulgaria, proposed themselves to cooperate in the field of “human resources development – common development of skills and knowledge”. The legal base exists as the Romania-Bulgaria Cross-border Cooperation Programme 2007-2013 is enforced. Furthermore, a four years comparative study of the number of persons trained for the main jobs in rural area, including farmer, in Lower Danube Region was conducted. All these led to the idea that it is necessary to continue and to stress adult training of farmers and rural specialists as a solution for rural economy development and social welfare. Also, comparative analysis of supply and demand of professionals in the field of agriculture was elaborated. The main educational programs in training agriculture and rural development specialists were identified and some problems and perspectives were worked out. This research can be considered as a first step of future deeper and profound collaboration of Tsenov Academy of Economics, Svishtov and the Academy of Economic Studies, Bucharest in terms of creation of common Romanian-Bulgarian Research Area, as a part of European Research Area (ERA). It includes joint knowledge and skills development through cross-border linkages and exchanges between the universities, in accordance with Romania – Bulgaria Cross-Border Cooperation Programme 2007-2013.rural development, agriculture, training, cross-border cooperation, Lower Danube Region

Romanian agro-food products’ competitivity depends, as a priority, on their quality. There are some factors that conduct to a decrease in productivity for agricultural production in Romania and in its quality, the main are: financial difficulties in input supply, small dimension of the farms and lack of the technologies, management and marketing for the main part of the farms. In order to improve agro-food products’ quality, it is necessary to harmonize Romanian quality standards to those of the European Union and to support the quality of the traded agro-food products. One of the agro-food branches of the economy which may become competitive on the European Union market is wine, with the condition of quality improving. In this paper we present some measures for wine quality improving. We intend to present some ways of improving the wine quality.Wine; Quality; Agro-food products; Competitiveness.

    Get PDF
EMG a prezentat indici normali. Examenul LCR a relevat proteine 1.028 g/l, citoza 283, glicorahia 1.57 mmol/l (glicemie 4.28mmol/l). Sepsis. Concluzii: LNH trebuie suspectat în caz de prezența manifestărilor clinice de SGB, dar cu semne de inflamație în LCR, EMG normală și lipsa răspunsului la tratament prin plasmafereza curativă

The predominant clinical presentations are related to the respiratory system, but neurological manifestations are recognized increasingly. Cases of myelitis associated with the new coronavirus infection have already been published, but no cases of HIV-positive patients with myelitis and COVID-19 have been reported yet. Material and methods: This study described a clinical case of a human-immunodeficiency virus (HIV) – positive patient, who developed an acute transverse myelitis with confirmed SARS-CoV-2 infection. Results: Magnetic Resonance Imaging examination showed longitudinally extensive spinal cord abnormality, and laboratory tests confirmed SARS-CoV-2 infection. The patient responded to methylprednisolone pulse therapy, followed by oral corticosteroids and therapeutic plasma exchange. Conclusions: Continuing pandemic and the expectation that a large part of the world population will be infected suggest that the number of patients with neurological manifestations could become large. Curious neurologic constellations can appear which complicate the diagnostic process and treatment in certain patients
