Intelligente monitoring van licht verstandelijk gehandicapten

In het project Intelligente Monitoring van Licht Verstandelijk Gehandicapten (IM-LVG) hebben NOVO, AVICS en de Hanzehogeschool Groningen onderzocht of zij met behulp van sensoren en ICT een systeem konden ontwikkelen voor de begeleiding van licht verstandelijk gehandicapten. Een dergelijk systeem zou taken als observeren, signaleren en interveniëren van begeleiders moeten overnemen, in de verwachting dat op termijn er een tekort zal ontstaan van medewerkers in de zorg als gevolg van demografische ontwikkelingen. De ervaringen die zijn opgedaan tijdens de ontwikkeling van het IM-LVG systeem worden beschreven in dit rapport. REP-12-0

Offshoring research directions

Outsourcing and offshoring provide companies with ways to achieve their business objectives better or more cost effectively or despite a shortage of specific resources. From a research point of view, outsourcing and offshoring have mostly been studied as something that large companies do, not small and medium enterprises (SMEs). However, the business rationale for outsourcing and offshoring appears to be at least as compelling for SMEs as they are for large companies. NOT-12-0

Reisverslag India 2009

Verslag van een bezoek in mei 2009 aan India als onderdeel van een delegatie van KPN. In een week werden bezoeken gebracht aan 7 IT leveranciers van KPN, 3 universiteiten en waren er gesprekken met diverse andere partijen. Daarbij zijn de steden Mumbai, Pune, Bangalore en Chennai aangedaan. Dit verslag geeft een beeld van de stand van zaken op het gebied van IT & Business Process Outsourcing in India. REP-09-0

Policy briefing:further strategies for smart specialisation of the North Sea region

This report uses experience gained during the EU Interreg IVB project ITRACT and shares transnational learning on how to deploy IT-based solutions as part of Smart Specialisation Strategies, for example, while creating answers to societal challenges. ITRACT concentrates on rural areas, where the availability of an adequate digital infrastructure is often lacking and where people may lack the digital skills and literacy to adopt the smart solutions (known as Intelligent Transport Services; ITS) offered.
