RECENT TRENDS IN LIFESTYLE RESEARCH - A LITERATURE REVIEW PERSPECTIVE
The paper comprises a literature review on the occurrences of lifestyle in literature, on samples of academic publications. The importance of work-personal life balance increased in the last 20 years and this can be seen especially in the changing role of lifestyle. So we find it natural that lifestyle is a topic highly debated in literature. Still, given the all-roundness of the concept, some frequency disparities appear. The first results show that only few articles refer to lifestyle in Europe, analyzed from the point of view of social sciences. The remaining majority discusses lifestyle from life sciences perspectives, with a particular focus on health acceptations of the concept.family studies, lifestyle, marketing, sociology
The Relationship Between University Research And The Marketability Of Universities
As universities are presently involved in a world-wide competition for students, and, implicitly, for markets in which to sell their services, the issue of the advantages research brings, transformed in market share increase, becomes an issue for university management. The paper examines, comparatively, the profitability of basic and applied research in terms of strengthening the market position of a university actively involved in one type of research or in both at a time. Well developed indicators to measure the relationship between research activity and prestige, on the one hand, social capital, on the other, and we will correlate these two research outcomes with the university market share and competitive advantage. The interest a university has to invest in its research activities has a market feedback, which provides a sense of involvement for practical reasons, and that goes beyond the bare purpose of reporting results .entrepreneurial university, performance ratios, basic and applied research

Integrated Analytical Study for the Somes Metalic Artefact Discoveri in Ibida Site, Romania
The paper presents the results of the analyses conducted using the SEM-EDX and micro-FTIR co-assisted techniques, on several metallic artefacts unearthed during the excavations at the (L)Ibida archaeological site in Slava RusÄ, Tulcea County, Romania, that took place between 2001 and 2008. The data produced is of use in identifying several archaeometrical structural and compositional features which allow for the identification of the origin of the ores, of the alloy type, and of the manufacturing technology. A series of new data is thus produced, that can consolidate the three databases of scientific conservation of metallic artefacts (iarchaeometallurgy/archaeometry/historiography, ii-museum exhibiting, iii-tinerate/transfer/exchange/trade)
Very large phase shift of microwave signals in a 6 nm Hf x Zr 1â x O 2 ferroelectric at Âą3 V
In this letter, we report for the first time very large phase shifts of microwaves in the 1â10 GHz range, in a 1 mm long gold coplanar interdigitated structure deposited over a 6 nm Hf x Zr1âx O2 ferroelectric grown directly on a high resistivity silicon substrate. The phase shift is larger than 60° at 1 GHz and 13° at 10 GHz at maximum applied DC voltages of Âą3 V, which can be supplied by a simple commercial battery. In this way, we demonstrate experimentally that the new ferroelectrics based on HfO2 could play an important role in the future development of wireless communication systems for very low power applications
MoS2 radio: detecting radio waves with a two-dimensional transition metal dichalcogenide semiconductor
In this paper, we designed, fabricated and tested a microwave circuit based on a MoS2 self-switching diode. The MoS2 thin film (10-monolayers nominal thickness) was grown on a 4 inch Al2O3/high-resistivity silicon wafer by chemical vapor deposition process. The Raman measurements confirm the high quality of the MoS2 over the whole area of the 4 inch wafer. We show experimentally that a microwave circuit based on a few-layers MoS2 self-switching diode fabricated at the wafer level is able to detect the audio spectrum from amplitude-modulated microwave signals in the band 0.9â10 GHz, i.e. in the frequency range mostly used by current wireless communications. In particular, the 900 MHz band is widely exploited for GSM applications, whereas the 3.6 GHz band has been identified as the primary pioneer band for 5G in the European Union
Harvesting electromagnetic energy in the V-band using a rectenna formed by a bow tie integrated with a 6-nm-thick Au/HfO2/Pt metal-insulator-metal diode
In this paper, the first demonstration of a bow-tie antenna integrated with a metal-insulator-metal (MIM) diode for electromagnetic energy harvesting in the V-band (i.e., 40-75 GHz) is presented. We have designed, simulated, fabricated, and fully characterized a 60-GHz rectifying antenna (rectenna) based on a vertical Au-HfO2-PtMIM diode with reduced differential resistance. The dielectric used for the MIM structure is a 6-nm-thick amorphous HfO2 grown by atomic layer deposition. For the fabricated MIM device, we report here a current density of 3 x 10(4) A/cm(2) that exceeds the previous values presented in the literature. The vertical MIM-based rectenna is able to efficiently harvest up to 250 mu V from an impinging modulated millimeter-wave signal with -20 dBm of available power, thus offering a voltage responsivity of over 5 V/W. The reported results indicate that the proposed approach is well suited for future low-power solutions much sought after for the energetically autonomous 5G terminal equipment
Nanomaterials and Devices for Harvesting Ambient Electromagnetic Waves
This manuscript presents an overview of the implications of nanomaterials in harvesting ambient electromagnetic waves. We show that the most advanced electromagnetic harvesting devices are based on oxides with a thickness of few nanometers, carbon nanotubes, graphene, and molybdenum disulfide thanks to their unique physical properties. These tiny objects can produce in the years to come a revolution in the harvesting of energy originating from the Sun, heat, or the Earth itself
OPTIMIZED DRIE PROCESS FOR TAPERED WALLS THROUGH WAFER VIA HOLES MANUFACTURING
This paper presents a new method of tapered walls through silicon wafers via holes (TSV) manufacturing, using a variable isotropy DRIE (Deep Reactive Ion Etching) process type.
TSV manufacturing method is presented (based on Bosch type anisotropic etching), as well as process optimization for a very good control over the wall angles
