Not available.Utilizando el conjunto tumular de Galiñeiro (situado en el límite entre las provincias de Coruña y Lugo, Galicia), se tratará de exponer como la vinculación de las construcciones a vías de tránsito naturales fue un factor de disposición uniforme y que, por 10 tanto, debe ser tenido en cuenta como una característica inherente a la obra y a la búsqueda de visibilidad para la misma. Se comprobará que esta relación es más rica y compleja de 10 que hasta el momento se creía, de modo que su consideración es un elemento imprescindible para estudiar el emplazamiento de túmulos en el NW peninsular

Regional patterning among the megaliths of Galicia (NW Spain)

[EN]Within the extensive plateau crossed by the upper Miño there are a vast number of tumuli. Their distribution is fairly homogeneous and they reach densities of up to 6 mounds per km2. The grave goods recovered from some of these monuments bear little relation to those in the coastal areas, especially so by the later part of the 3rd millenium BC. Recent surveys have found that some of the biggest concentrations of tombs are located near to natural passes or ridges that connect the inland plateau with the eastern districts of La Coruña and Pontevedra provinces. We suggest that proximity to crossing points between different areas was an important factor in the local setting of the mounds. On a larger scale the same principle might explain the occurrence of considerable clusters of monuments close to natural passes between regions that were especially important during this period.Peer reviewe

Définition du Temps sur des surfaces. Diagnostic chronologique et fonctionnel de structures tumulaires dans le Bois d'Amenon (La Chapelle-aux-Choux, Sarthe)

The nine mounds at Amenon are sited on a wooded spur dominating the valley of the river Loir. Symmetrical longforms, and others quadrangular close to the square, are all limited by hollows marking a defining ditch. In 2001, work consisted, on the one hand, of a complete topographic survey ofevery mound noticed and, on the other, ofhand-dug test-trenches within the most representative structure. The recovery of sigillata as well as other wheel-turned sherds belonging provide evidences for a Gallo-Roman date.Les neuf tertres d' Amenon sont implantés sur un éperon boisé dominant la vallée du Loir. Des formes allongées symétriques, et d'autres quadrangulaires proches du carré, sont toutes bordées de dépressions marquant un fossé périphérique. Les travaux, menés en 2001, ont consisté, d'une part, en un relevé topographique complet de chaque tertre repéré en prospection et, d'autre part, en sondages manuels dans la masse de la structure la plus représentative. La découverte contextualisée d'une céramique sigillée ainsi que d'autres tessons appartenant à des individus fabriqués au tour assigne à cet ensemble une date gallo-romaine.Cassen Serge, Vaquero Lastres Jacobo.
