Measurements and analysis of the upper critical field Hc2H_{c2} on an underdoped and overdoped La2−xSrxCuO4La_{2-x}Sr_xCuO_4 compounds

The upper critical field $H_{c2}$ is one of the many non conventional properties of high-$T_c$ cuprates. It is possible that the $H_{c2}(T)$ anomalies are due to the presence of inhomogeneities in the local charge carrier density $\rho$ of the $CuO_2$ planes. In order to study this point, we have prepared good quality samples of polycrystalline $La_{2-x}Sr_xCuO_{4}$ using the wet-chemical method, which has demonstrated to produce samples with a better cation distribution. In particular, we have studied the temperature dependence of the second critical field, $H_{c2}(T)$, through the magnetization measurements on two samples with opposite average carrier concentration ($\rho_m=x$) and nearly the same critical temperature, namely $\rho_m = 0.08$ (underdoped) and $\rho_m = 0.25$ (overdoped). The results close to $T_c$ do not follow the usual Ginzburg-Landau theory and are interpreted by a theory which takes into account the influence of the inhomogeneities.Comment: Published versio

Supercurrent induced domain wall motion

We study the dynamics of a magnetic domain wall, inserted in, or juxtaposed to, a conventional superconductor, via the passage of a spin polarized current through a FSF junction. Solving the Landau-Lifshitz-Gilbert equation of motion for the magnetic moments we calculate the velocity of the domain wall and compare it with the case of a FNF junction. We find that in several regimes the domain wall velocity is larger when it is driven by a supercurrent.Comment: 10 pages, 8 figure

Avaliação de leguminosas arbóreas e arbustivas de mútiplo uso em Rondônia

Selecao de leguminosas arboreas e arbustivas de multiplos propositos (Acacia angustissima, Albizia saman, A. lebbek, Desmodium gynoides, Sesbania sesban, Calliandra calothyrsus, Leucaena leucocephala, L. hybrid x1, L. hybrid x2, L. hybrid x3, Inga edulis, Clitoria racemosa, anandenanthera pavonina, Caesalpina peltephoroides), em parcelas experimentais com 16 plantas sem repeticoes. Foi avaliada taxa de sobrevivencia, diametro e altura aos 6, 12, 18 e 24 meses. A taxa de sobrevivencia foi de 100% aos seis meses de idade. Os maiores DAPs aos seis e doze meses foram para A. angustissima, I. edulis, a. pavonina. Considerando-se os parametros avaliados, as especies mais promissoras, principalmente para compor sistemas agroflorestais, foram: A. angustissima, I. edulis, A. saman e A. pavonina.bitstream/item/84465/1/FOL-5342-0001.pd
