Ship Routing with Pickup and Delivery for a Maritime Oil Transportation System: MIP Modeland Heuristics

This paper examines a ship routing problem with pickup and delivery and time windows for maritime oil transportation, motivated by the production and logistics activities of an oil company operating in the Brazilian coast. The transportation costs from offshore platforms to coastal terminals are an important issue in the search for operational excellence in the oil industry, involving operations that demand agile and effective decision support systems. This paper presents an optimization approach to address this problem, based on a mixed integer programming (MIP) model and a novel and exploratory application of two tailor-made MIP heuristics, based on relax-and-fix and time decomposition procedures. The model minimizes fuel costs of a heterogeneous fleet of oil tankers and costs related to freighting contracts. The model also considers company-specific constraints for offshore oil transportation. Computational experiments based on the mathematical models and the related MIP heuristics are presented for a set of real data provided by the company, which confirm the potential of optimization-based methods to find good solutions for problems of moderate sizes

El reconocimiento de la empatía en los jóvenes de diferentes contextos sociales

Empathy refers to the functional disposition that people have to exchange experiences exposed unconditionally to the other. These experiences could be different in young by gender, age and social class. The present study aims to evaluate the inter-dimensional relationship in factors of Empathy and the difference in mean response of young people from different socio-institutional contexts. 46 subjects, male and female, 12-21 years of social institution for the care of young people at risk, Christian religiousinstitutions and public school in the city ofJoão Pessoa answered multidimensional scale of interpersonal reactivity Davis. It was found Positive Spearman correlations between dimensions of empathy and the young Christian religious institution and public school had higher mean in regards empathy, perspective taking and empathic fantasy.La empatía se refiere a la disposición funcional de las personas para los intercambios de experiencias expostas de manera incondicional en relación al otro. Estas podrían diferenciar en los jóvenes en función del sexo, edad y clase social. El presente estudio tiene como objetivo evaluar relación interdimensión en los factores de la empatía y la diferencia en la media de respuestas de losjóvenes de diferentes contextos socio-institucionales. 46 sujetos, del sexo masculino y delsexo femenino, de 12 a 21 años, de institución social para cuidados de jóvenes en situación de riesgo, institución religiosa cristiana y de escuela pública en la ciudad de João Pessoa-PB han respondido la escala multidimensional de reactividad interpersonal de Davis. Se ha observado correlaciones de Spearman positivas entre de las dimensiones de la empatía y que los jóvenes de instituciones religiosa cristiana y de la escuela pública han tenido mediassuperiores en la consideración empatía, toma de perspectiva y fantasía empática
