Seksuaalisesti hyväksikäytetty nuori : Hoitajan auttamismenetelmät

Tämän opinnäytetyön tarkoituksena oli tuoda esiin seksuaalisesti hyväksikäytetyn nuoren selviytymiskokemuksia hoitajan näkökulmasta sekä selvittää, millaista seksuaalisesti hyväksikäytetyn nuoren hoito on. Tarkoituksena oli myös verrata olemassa olevaa teoriatietoa käytäntöön. Tutkimuksella haluttiin myös selvittää, miten nuori kokee hoidon ja mistä hän kokee saavansa eniten apua. Tutkimuksella haluttiin tuoda esiin uutta, konkreettista tietoa hoitajan toiminnasta ja kokemuksista nuoren seksuaalisesti hyväksikäytetyn uhrin hoidosta. Tutkimuksen teoreettisessa viitekehyksessä käsitellään nuoren kehitystä, seksuaalista hyväksikäyttöä, mielenterveyttä ja hoitajan auttamismenetelmiä. Teoreettinen viitekehys on kerätty alan kirjallisuudesta, tieteellisistä artikkeleista ja lainsäädännöstä. Tutkimus oli kvalitatiivinen ja aineistonkeruu toteutettiin kyselylomakkeiden avulla. Kyselyyn osallistui 8 hoitajaa, jotka työskentelevät nuorten parissa. Tutkimustulosten analysoinnissa hyödynnettiin induktiivista sisällönanalyysiä. Tutkimustuloksilla saatiin selville, että hyviä hoitajien antamia selviytymiskeinoja nuorelle ovat turvallinen ja moniammatillinen tukiverkosto, eri hoitokeinot sekä rutiinit. Hoitajien mielestä nuoret kokevat hyviksi selviytymiskeinoiksi kommunikoinnin sekä lääkehoidon ja terapiat. Tutkimuksen mukaan seksuaalisen hyväksikäytön seurauksena nuoren normaali kehitys kärsii ja persoona muuttuu. Tuloksista tuli myös ilmi, että hoitajat kokevat tarvitsevansa lisää koulutusta seksuaalisen hyväksikäytön kohtaamiseen ja uhrin hoitoon liittyen. Hoitajat nostivat erityisesti esiin traumakoulutuksen tarpeen.The purpose of this bachelor’s thesis was draw attention to a sexually abused adolescent’s coping experiences from a nurse’s point of view and, also to find out what the treatment of a sexually abused adolescent is like. The purpose was also to compare existing theoretical knowledge with practice. The purpose of the study was to find out how the adolescent experiences treatment and what kind of treatment the adolescent finds more helpful. The aim was to offer new concrete information about the work and experiences of a nurse in the treatment of a young, sexually abused victim. The theoretical framework discusses adolescent development, sexual abuse, mental health and nursing care. The data for the theoretical frame were collected from professional literature and scientific articles. The study was qualitative and it was carried out using a questionnaire. The inquiry was participated by 8 nurses who work with adolescents. The material was analyzed with inductive content analysis. The results of the research revealed that good nursing methods for the coping of the adolescent are a safe and multiprofessional support network, different therapies and routines. In the nurses' opinion, the adolescents experience communication as well as pharmacotherapy and therapies as good coping methods. According to the study, as a result of sexual abuse, the normal development of the adolescent suffers and the personality changes. The results also revealed that nurses felt they needed more training in dealing with the sexual abuse and the treatment of the victim. The nurses particularly raised the need for trauma training
