    Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan model pembelajaran make a match dalam model pembelajaran team games tournament (TGT) terhadap hasil belajar siswa SMA pada pokok bahasan tata nama senyawa. Jenis penelitian ini tergolong quasi experiment. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di SMA Negeri 5 Samarinda, Kalimantan Timur, Indonesia. Subjek peneliti adalah siswa kelas X IPA1 (kelas eksperimen, 32 siswa) dan kelas X IPA2 (kelas kontrol, 31 siswa) yang dipilih menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Model pembelajaran yang digunakan untuk kelas eksperimen adalah model pembelajaran make a match dalam model pembelajaran TGT dan model pembelajaran  yang digunakan untuk kelas kontrol adalah model pembelajaran TGT. Ada tiga data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu (1) data dokumentasi berupa nilai hasil belajar siswa pada pokok bahasan sebelumnya, (2) nilai tes kemampuan kognitif siswa yang diperoleh dari 25% nilai post-test pertemuan pertama, 25% nilai post-test pertemuan kedua dan 50% nilai ulangan harian, dan (3) data aktivitas siswa yang diperoleh melalui observasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh penggunaan model pembelajaran make a match dalam model pembelajaran TGT terhadap hasil belajar siswa SMA pada pokok bahasan tata nama senyawa

    An Overview of Construction Waste Management

    The need of construction projects is increasing day by day in developing countries to improve and build new infrastructures. Due to massive procurement of materials on these projects, significant amount of waste is generated. This waste has substantial impacts not only on project cost but also on the environment.  So waste measurement and its source of generation would be the first initiative to control these wastes. In this regard, around sixty (60) papers were reviewed to determine the most wasteful materials based on past papers literature. Further, to determine the barriers in waste management, frequency analysis was performed. Based on these analysis it was found that design changes, procurement problems, theft and vandalism, etc. are major sources of waste generation. Further, out of twenty five (25) materials, most wasteful were wood, steel, bricks, concrete, tiles, sand, cement and ceiling boards. Moreover, major barriers in waste management are inappropriate regulations, financial issues, lack of standards and lack of awareness programs. So to promote suitable construction, waste management practices must be followed, in this regard more studies are required to focus in developing a comprehensive waste management framework

    Multiple myeloma is a clonal B-cell malignancy, characterised by proliferation of plasma cells and secretion of paraproteins. These plasma cells accumulate predominantly in the bone marrow; rarely, they invade other areas, especially the thorax. Myeloma presenting with a pleural effusion is rare and reported in only 6% of patients with myeloma. Such patients generally present late and have a poor prognosis.     Nexus between Volatility of Stocks and Macroeconomic Factors during Global Financial Crisis: Evidence from Conventional & Islamic Stocks

    Purpose: The study explores the relationship between the volatility of stock return of markets (Islamic & conventional) and macroeconomic factors by using GARCH in Mean (1,1) model during global financial crisis. Design/Methodology/Approach: monthly data for the period from 04 Jan, 2005 to 31st Dec, 2015. The Islamic stock markets (Dow Jones Islamic Market Malaysia (DJIM), Dow Jones Islamic Market Indonesia (DJII) & Dow Jones world Islamic Index (DJWI)-Benchmark), Conventional stock markets (Shanghai Stock Exchange (SSE),Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) & Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSE) and Macroeconomic factors (Inflation, Interest Rate, Oil prices and Industrial Production) are taken into consideration. Findings: The results explored that inflation rate influenced the returns of conventional stock markets than Islamic stock markets. Moreover, the volatility components for macroeconomic factors i.e. inflation, interest rate and oil prices are more volatile but larger to industrial production during global financial crisis. Implications/Originality/Value: However, the frequency of market volatility for Islamic stock market is lower than conventional stock markets that mean that the investment in Islamic stock markets seems to be safe flight than conventional stock markets during global financial crisis

    A game player expertise level classification system using electroencephalography (EEG)

    The success and wider adaptability of smart phones has given a new dimension to the gaming industry. Due to the wide spectrum of video games, the success of a particular game depends on how efficiently it is able to capture the end users' attention. This leads to the need to analyse the cognitive aspects of the end user, that is the game player, during game play. A direct window to see how an end user responds to a stimuli is to look at their brain activity. In this study, electroencephalography (EEG) is used to record human brain activity during game play. A commercially available EEG headset is used for this purpose giving fourteen channels of recorded EEG brain activity. The aim is to classify a player as expert or novice using the brain activity as the player indulges in the game play. Three different machine learning classifiers have been used to train and test the system. Among the classifiers, naive Bayes has outperformed others with an accuracy of 88%, when data from all fourteen EEG channels are used. Furthermore, the activity observed on electrodes is statistically analysed and mapped for brain visualizations. The analysis has shown that out of the available fourteen channels, only four channels in the frontal and occipital brain regions show significant activity. Features of these four channels are then used, and the performance parameters of the four-channel classification are compared to the results of the fourteen-channel classification. It has been observed that support vector machine and the naive Bayes give good classification accuracy and processing time, well suited for real-time applications

    An Empirical Analysis of Determinants of Balance of Payments in Pakistan

    This study investigates the determinants of balance of payments for Pakistan between 1981 and 2016. This paper using ARDL bounds testing approach. ARDL technique is used to find the short run and long run relationship of these variables with BOP. The result shows that all of exchange rate, FDI, inflation and GDP have negative relationship with Balance of payment of Pakistan. The empirical results obtained in this paper recommend the policy to decrease balance of payment fluctuations, Pakistan government has to work on both fiscal and monetary policies and structural adjustment in order to encourage and attract private investment flows, target inflation and increase trade

    The American Hearth Association (AHA) mengidentifikasi bahwa pentingnya memodifikasi gaya hidup agar terhindar dari tekanan darah tinggi seperti memilih menu makanan yang sehat, mobilisasi, manajemen stres, mematuhi regimen pengobatan, dukungan sosial keluarga, tidak merokok, menghindari alkohol, menjaga berat badan ideal, mengontrol tekanan darah, dan tingkatkan asupan potassium 3500-5000mg serta pengurangan asupan garam (sodium) (<1500mg/hari). Di Puskesmas Batua belum pernah dilaksanakan kegiatan pelatihan tentang diet rendah garam pada pasien Hipertensi. Terlebih dalam kondisi pandemik Covid-19 seperti saat ini seluruh kegiatan penyuluhan dan Prolanis di hentikan sampai dengan waktu yang belum ditentukan, sehingga kondisi tersebut dapat memberikan dampak negatif yang berisiko tidak terkontrolnya tekanan darah pasien Hipertensi dan dapat menimbulkan berbagai macam komplikasi yang berujung kepada kematian. Tujuan dilaksanakan pelatihan ini agar pengetahuan pasien Hipertensi tentang diet rendah garam dapat meningkat, dan hal tersebut terbukti terjadinya peningkatan pengetahuan sikap, pengendalian perilaku dan persepsi 25 orang pasien hipertensi setelah diberikan pelatihan selama 4 kali tiap orangnya dengan cara menggunakan media online What’s app (WA)

    Development and charachterization of barley supllemented flavored chapattis

    Food scientist are actively involved to improve the quality of wheat through composite flour technology by supplementing wheat flour with other grain flours. Barley grains are outstanding source of total dietary fibers (TDF) and offers remarkable quantity of active ingredients for health elevation and disease prevention. Purposely, the current research work was designed to improve the nutritional potential of wheat chapattis by including barley flour 10%, 20%, 30% along with the addition of functional blend (Methi powder and garlic paste) 2%, 4%, 6% levels respectively. Wheat and barley composite flour were analyzed for its chemical, mineral, antioxidant and total dietary composition. The supplementation of barley flour and functional blend into wheat flour enhanced the mineral. Addition of barley flour and functional blend increased total phenolic in composite flour 0.41 (control) to 0.69 mg GAE.100g-1 and DPPH from 20.95 - 23.82%. Total dietary fiber in composite flour varied form 3.11% (control) to 7.69% (30% barley flour with 6% functional blend). Total dietary fiber in chapattis ranged from 6.04 (control) to 8.21% (30% barley flour with 6% functional blend). 30% supplementation of barley flour and 4% addition of functional blend presented better sensory response of the prepared chapattis. All the outcomes revealed that nutritionally rich chapattis should be incorporated in daily diet to explore the dietary worth of barley
