Segregation in desiccated sessile drops of biological fluids
It is shown here that concurrence between advection and diffusion in a drying
sessile drop of a biological fluid can produce spatial redistribution of
albumen and salt. The result gives an explanation for the patterns observed in
the dried drops of the biological fluids.Comment: 6 pages, 3 figures; submitted to European Physical Journal
Capillary flow in an evaporating sessile drop
An analytical expression of velocity potential inside an evaporating sessile
drop with pinned contact line is found.Comment: 3 pages, 1 figure, RevTeX, sumitted to PR
An investigation of site-bond percolation on many lattices
A calculation of site-bond percolation thresholds in many lattices in two to
five dimensions is presented. The line of threshold values has been
parametrized in the literature, but we show here that there are strong
deviations from the known approximate equations. We propose an alternative
parametrization that lies much closer to the numerical valuesComment: LaTeX, 14 pages, 6 figures, 5 tables, submitted to Int. J. Mod. Phys.
On Site Percolation on Correlated Simple Cubic Lattice
We consider site percolation on a correlated bi-colored simple cubic lattice.
The correlated medium is constructed from a strongly alternating bi-colored
simple cubic lattice due to anti-site disordering. The percolation threshold is
estimated. The cluster size distribution is obtained. A possible application to
the double 1:1 perovskites is discussed.Comment: 10 pages, 12 figures, Submitted to IJMP
