Renormalization Group Flow near the Superconformal Points in N=2 Supersymmetric Gauge Theories
The behavior of the beta-function of the low-energy effective coupling in the
N=2 supersymmetric SU(2) QCD with several massive matter hypermultiplets and in
the SU(3) Yang-Mills theory is determined near the superconformal points in the
moduli space. The renormalization group flow is unambiguously fixed by looking
at limited types of deformation near the superconformal points. It is pointed
out that the scaling dimension of the beta-function is controlled by the
scaling behavior of moduli parameters and the relation between them is
explicitly worked out. Our scaling dimensions of the beta-functions are
consistent in part with the results obtained recently by Bilal and Ferrari in a
different method for the SU(2) QCD.Comment: 16 pages, latex, no figure, some references adde
Exact Solutions and the Attractor Mechanism in Non-BPS Black Holes
The attractor mechanism for the four-dimensional supergravity
black hole solution is analyzed in the case of the D0-D4 system. Our analyses
are based on newly derived exact solutions, which exhibit explicitly the
attractor mechanism for extremal non-BPS black holes. Our solutions account for
the moduli as general complex fields, while in almost all non-BPS solutions
obtained previously, the moduli fields are restricted to be purely imaginary.
It is also pointed out that our moduli solutions contain an extra parameter
that is not contained in solutions obtained by replacing the charges in the
double extremal moduli solutions by the corresponding harmonic functions.Comment: 16 pages, added a few reference
Empirically Consistent Electroweak Radiative Corrections with the Two-Higgs Doublet Model
The electroweak radiative correction, which turned out to be marginal within
the standard electroweak model having the minimal Higgs sector in view of the
present experimental information, fits well the experiment when the Higgs
sector is extended to have two Higgs doublets. We predict the range where the
charged and CP odd Higgs boson masses would lie, taking the two CP even neutral
Higgs boson masses to be degenerate which makes the analysis in multiparameter
space feasible. It is shown that the mass of neutral Higgs doublet boson can
arbitrarily be large consistently with the mass, if the charged Higgs boson
is present and it's mass lies in some appropriate ranges.Comment: 11 pages, 4 figure
Linear programming analysis of the -parity violation within EDM-constraints
The constraint on the -parity violating supersymmetric interactions is
discussed in the light of current experimental data of the electric dipole
moment of neutron, Xe , Tl, and Hg atoms, and YbF and
ThO molecules. To investigate the constraints without relying upon the
assumption of the dominance of a particular combination of couplings over all
the rest, an extensive use is made of the linear programming method in the scan
of the parameter space. We give maximally possible values for the EDMs of the
proton, deuteron, He nucleus, Rn, Ra, Fr, and the
-correlation of the neutron beta decay within the constraints from the
current experimental data of the EDMs of neutron, Xe, Tl, and
Hg atoms, and YbF and ThO molecules using the linear programming
method. It is found that the -correlation of the neutron beta decay and
hadronic EDMs are very useful observables to constrain definite regions of the
parameter space of the -parity violating supersymmetry.Comment: 24 pages, 6 figure
