The effect of ethical responsibility on performance
In a laboratory real-effort experiment, we study the effect of responsibility on performance. Specifically, we analyze whether being responsible for an ethical or unethical work environment affects workers’ performance. Using a specific randomization technique, we can separate the responsibility effect from a possible selection effect. We find that workers who prefer to work in an ethical work environment perform better if they are also responsible for it, compared to a situation where it was imposed on them. We do not find this positive incentive effect of responsibility for workers that prefer an unethical work environment. Moreover, we observe that if an unethical environment was imposed, workers who prefer an ethical environment perform worse than those whose preference are aligned with the environment

Uso do escarro induzido na avaliação da inflamação de vias aéreas em pacientes com asma = The use of induced sputum to evaluate inflammation of the airways in patients with asthma
Explainable Benchmarking for Iterative Optimization Heuristics
Benchmarking heuristic algorithms is vital to understand under which
conditions and on what kind of problems certain algorithms perform well. In
most current research into heuristic optimization algorithms, only a very
limited number of scenarios, algorithm configurations and hyper-parameter
settings are explored, leading to incomplete and often biased insights and
results. This paper presents a novel approach we call explainable benchmarking.
Introducing the IOH-Xplainer software framework, for analyzing and
understanding the performance of various optimization algorithms and the impact
of their different components and hyper-parameters. We showcase the framework
in the context of two modular optimization frameworks. Through this framework,
we examine the impact of different algorithmic components and configurations,
offering insights into their performance across diverse scenarios. We provide a
systematic method for evaluating and interpreting the behaviour and efficiency
of iterative optimization heuristics in a more transparent and comprehensible
manner, allowing for better benchmarking and algorithm design.Comment: Submitted to ACM TEL
Data Sharing in the German Food Industry - Empirical Insights
Big data are collected along the entire food industry value chain, but remain mostly unused. Data sharing in data ecosystems could lead to efficiency gains and new revenue streams. We investigate data sharing within food industry and derive challenges and opportunities for data sharing in this context. We conducted interviews with ten qualified experts from the German food industry. The results reveal that mainly trust, usefulness and value influence users’ attitude towards data sharing. Our results confirm social exchange theory in conjunction with technology acceptance model as relevant underlying IS theories of data sharing
Left ventricular hypertrophy and biomarkers of cardiac damage and stress in aortic stenosis
Background Left ventricular hypertrophy (LVH) is associated with increased mortality risk and rehospitalization after transcatheter aortic valve replacement among those with severe aortic stenosis. Whether cardiac troponin (cTnT) and NT-proBNP (N-terminal pro-B-type natriuretic peptide) risk stratify patients with aortic stenosis and without LVH is unknown. Methods and Results In a multicenter prospective registry of 923 patients with severe aortic stenosis undergoing transcatheter aortic valve replacement, we included 674 with core-laboratory-measured LV mass index, cTnT, and NT-proBNP. LVH was defined by sex-specific guideline cut-offs and elevated biomarker levels were based on age and sex cut-offs. Adjusted Cox proportional hazards models evaluated associations between LVH and biomarkers and all-cause death out to 5 years. Elevated cTnT and NT-proBNP were present in 82% and 86% of patients with moderate/severe LVH, respectively, as compared with 66% and 69% of patients with no/mild LVH, respectively
Comparison of Small EV Charging Station\u27s Load Forecasts and its Impact on the Operational Costs
For an energy management system (EMS) of a charging station (CS), information on future load is crucial. Existing models primarily focus on load forecasting for large charging stations. In this study, three different load forecasting models based on real data from a public CS with two charging points are developed. The models include two persistent models and one model that utilizes a machine learning algorithm.
To assess the impact of forecasting accuracy on operational costs, a case study with dynamic electricity prices and a stationary battery storage is conducted. Using the load predictions, a mixed-integer linear programming problem is formulated to optimize the scheduling of the stationary battery charging

M. Iqbal Hasby A. 1411315000. PERANG SALIB III (FAKTOR PENYEBAB,
PERAN DAN PERJUANGAN SHALAHUDDIN AL AYYUBI). Skripsi. Jurusan
Sejarah Kebudayaan Islam. Fakultas Adab Dakwah. IAIN Syekh Nurjati Cirebon.
2016.
pahlawan umat Islam yaitu Shalahuddin Al Ayyubi.
penulis mencoba menguraikan rumusan masalah mengenai latar belakang perang
