Analysis of motivational strategies in 11th grade students of English class at Amistad Quebec School in Teustepe, Boaco
This research was focused in the motivational strategies that influence 11th grade students of English language class at Amistad Quebec School. Three main factors were identified in the teaching -learning process of this grade.
The factors are the following: intrinsic and extrinsic motivation, traditional motivation and language anxiety.
Extrinsic motivation, which leads to negative motive, attitude, and discouragement in participants, teacher and students, extrinsic motivation overrides intrinsic motivation in that some students are expected to finish the scholastic year to find a job. Traditionally, students do not use English outside of the classroom because classes usually focus on repetitive strategies.
Also, old tendencies contribute to low student achievement in general. Language anxiety, in which students feel afraid to use what they have learned in the classroom, contributes to low achievement of the target language.
In this investigation, interviews and focal groups will be used to understand how strategies used by teachers affect student motivation.
In general, this research considers the relationship between traditional and modern methods in the engagement of students in English class, the attitude of the teacher toward English, and the ways in which the teacher motivates his student

Embryonic stem cell-derived hemangioblasts remain epigenetically plastic and require PRC1 to prevent neural gene expression.
Many lineage-specific developmental regulator genes are transcriptionally primed in embryonic stem (ES) cells; RNA Pol(II) is bound at their promoters but is prevented from productive elongation by the activity of polycomb repressive complexes (PRC) 1 and 2. This epigenetically poised state is thought to enable ES cells to rapidly execute multiple differentiation programs and is recognized by a simultaneous enrichment for trimethylation of lysine 4 and trimethylation of lysine 27 of histone H3 (bivalent chromatin) across promoter regions. Here we show that the chromatin profile of this important cohort of genes is progressively modified as ES cells differentiate toward blood-forming precursors. Surprisingly however, neural specifying genes, such as Nkx2-2, Nkx2-9, and Sox1, remain bivalent and primed even in committed hemangioblasts, as conditional deletion of PRC1 results in overt and inappropriate expression of neural genes in hemangioblasts. These data reinforce the importance of PRC1 for normal hematopoietic differentiation and reveal an unexpected epigenetic plasticity of mesoderm-committed hemangioblasts
It also shows how the remote monitoring process provides the attention and care from medical personnel in a non-face and thus ensures the best possible care for those affected by this disease
Crystalline-to-plastic phase transitions in molecularly thin n-dotriacontane films adsorbed on solid surfaces
doi:10.1063/1.3213642Crystalline-to-rotator phase transitions have been widely studied in bulk hydrocarbons, in particular in normal alkanes. But few studies of these transitions deal with molecularly thin films of pure n-alkanes on solid substrates. In this work, we were able to grow dotriacontane (n-C32H66) films without coexisting bulk particles, which allows us to isolate the contribution to the ellipsometric signal from a monolayer of molecules oriented with their long axis perpendicular to the SiO2 surface. For these submonolayer films, we found a step in the ellipsometer signal at ~331 K, which we identify with a solid-solid phase transition. At higher coverages, we observed additional steps in the ellipsometric signal that we identify with a solid-solid phase transition in multilayer islands (~333 K) and with the transition to the rotator phase in bulk crystallites (~337 K), respectively. After considering three alternative explanations, we propose that the step upward in the ellipsometric signal observed at ~331 K on heating the submonolayer film is the signature of a transition from a perpendicular monolayer phase to a denser phase in which the alkane chains contain on average one to two gauche defects per molecule. This work was supported by the Chilean

Widespread Environmental Presence of Multidrug-Resistant Salmonella in an Equine Veterinary Hospital That Received Local and International Horses
Indexación: Scopus.Salmonella enterica is a highly infectious microorganism responsible for many outbreaks reported in equine hospitals. Outbreaks are characterized by high morbidity and mortality rates, nosocomial transmission to other patients, zoonotic transmission to hospital personnel, and even closure of facilities. In this study, 545 samples (environmental and hospitalized patients) were collected monthly during a 1-year period from human and animal contact surfaces in an equine hospital that received local and international horses. A total of 22 Salmonella isolates were obtained from human contact surfaces (e.g., offices and pharmacy) and animal contact surfaces (e.g., stalls, surgery room, and waterers), and one isolate from a horse. Molecular serotyping revealed 18 isolates as Salmonella Typhimurium and three as Salmonella Infantis. Nineteen isolates were resistant to at least one antimicrobial class, and only two isolates were susceptible to all antimicrobials tested. In addition, we identified nine multidrug-resistant (MDR) isolates in S. Typhimurium, which displayed resistance to up to eight antimicrobials (i.e., amoxicillin/clavulanate, ampicillin, ciprofloxacin, chloramphenicol, streptomycin, gentamicin, trimethoprim/sulfamethoxazole, and tetracycline). Pulsed-field gel electrophoresis (PFGE) revealed the presence of three PFGE patterns permanently present in the environment of the hospital during our study. The persistent environmental presence of MDR Salmonella isolates, along with the fact that local and international horses are attended in this hospital, highlights the importance of improving biosecurity programs to prevent disease in horses and the hospital personnel and also for the global dissemination and acquisition of MDR Salmonella. © Copyright © 2020 Soza-Ossandón, Rivera, Tardone, Riquelme-Neira, García, Hamilton-West, Adell, González-Rocha and Moreno-Switt.https://www.frontiersin.org/articles/10.3389/fvets.2020.00346/ful
