High Brachial Artery Bifurcation Clinical finding in Cadaveric Specimen by Medical Students During Internship

The high brachial artery bifurcation is an anatomical variation found in the arm segment. Although it does not present any alteration in the arterial blood functionality, it is considered a common spot for vascular lesions during surgical interventions that consist of the absence of anatomical knowledge. The research objective was to describe the high brachial artery bifurcation found in a cadaveric specimen from the anatomy laboratory as well as its main anatomoclinical aspects. Twenty-six upper limbs were investigated and dissected from the Universidade Brasil\u27s Human Anatomy Laboratory, SP. These were formolized cadaveric specimens from both sexes. During upper limb dissection, arterial anatomical variations were observed in a single-arm segment. The variation was unilateral in the left hemisphere. The clinical findings were high brachial artery bifurcation and a rare case of the radial artery in the medial path, as well as an ulnar artery with a lateral path in the arm median third. It is clear that the understanding of anatomy and anatomical variations patterns is of utmost importance and a requirement for surgery, so surgeons need to be aware of clinical, anatomical, and arterial variations data, avoiding vascular lesions during the surgical interventions. Dissection is an important learning tool for students and resident doctors. It is suggested the use of dissection as a pedagogical resource to acquire skills in surgeries during internship and also to improve the anatomical variation cognition of upper limbs

Transtorno Bipolar: uma abordagem integrativa entre neurobiologia, terapias e psicoterapia

Introduction: Bipolar disorder is characterized by a variation in episodes and moods, which can range from a feeling of euphoria to a depressive state. Symptoms of this disorder may include difficulty sleeping, lack of energy or motivation, as well as a loss of meaning in reality. These signs may vary according to the crisis present at the time and the condition the individual is in. Objective: Understand bipolar disorder and the factors that may be associated with this disease. Methodology: A systematic literature review was carried out covering the years from January 2003 to December 2023. The study was based and guided by the question mentioned throughout the article. Conclusion: In summary, the integrated approach combining mood stabilizing medications and psychotherapy is crucial to effectively managing Bipolar Disorder, providing support and promoting a better understanding of the condition for a more stable quality of life.Introdução: O transtorno bipolar se caracteriza pela variação de  episódios e quadros de humor, que podem ir da sensação de euforia até o estado depressivo. Os sintomas desse distúrbio podem incluir dificuldade para dormir, falta de energia ou motivação, além da perda de sentido com a realidade. Esses sinais podem variar de acordo com a crise presente no momento e com o quadro que o indivíduo se encontra. Objetivo: Compreender o transtorno da bipolaridade e os fatores que podem ser associados a essa doença. Metodologia: Foi realizada uma revisão sistemática de literatura abrangendo os anos de janeiro de 2003 a dezembro de 2023. O estudo teve como base e norteamento a pergunta citada no decorrer do artigo. Conclusão: Em resumo, a abordagem integrada que combina medicamentos estabilizadores de humor e psicoterapia é crucial para gerenciar eficazmente o Transtorno Bipolar, proporcionando suporte e promovendo uma melhor compreensão da condição para uma qualidade de vida mais estável

IMPACTO DE DETERMINANTES SOCIAIS NA SAÚDE MENTAL: UMA ANÁLISE DE SAÚDE COLETIVA

Introduction: It seeks to highlight the importance of social determinants of health in relation to the treatment and care of patients with mental disorders. Furthermore, it reports on the changes and how the determinants reflect positively and negatively on this topic, in addition to the evolution that has emerged since past years. Objective: Understand the impacts and the relationship of determinants with the issue of mental health. Methodology: A systematic literature review was carried out covering the years from January 2003 to December 2023 The study was based and guided by the question mentioned throughout the article. Results: The evident role of determinants in the subject of mental health stands out, in addition to showing that the evolution of these determinants can improve and facilitate the development of efficient and appropriate care strategies for patients suffering from some mental illness. Advanced cases can be mitigated gradually. Conclusion: With emphasis on social and economic issues, it is noted that these factors directly affect adherence to treatment and diagnosis for those in need and that even with all the efforts aimed at this topic to this day, an inequality is still seen in the way in which The health system is offered to the population.Introdução: Procura evidenciar a importância das determinantes sociais de saúde em relação ao tratamento e assistência de pacientes com transtornos mentais. Além disso, relata as mudanças e como as determinantes refletem positivamente e negativamente nessa temática, além da evolução que foi surgindo desde anos passados. Objetivo: Compreender os impactos e a relação das determinantes com a temática da saúde mental. Metodologia: Foi realizada uma revisão sistemática de literatura abrangendo os anos de janeiro de 2003 a dezembro de 2023. O estudo teve como base e norteamento a pergunta citada no decorrer do artigo. Resultados: Destaca-se o papel evidente das determinantes no assunto de saúde mental, além de evidenciar que a evolução dessas determinantes podem melhorar e facilitar o desenvolvimento de estratégias de cuidados eficientes e adequadas para pacientes que sofrem de com alguma doença mental Assim, o número avançado de casos podem ser mitigado de forma gradativa. Conclusão: Dando ênfase a questões sociais e econômicas, nota-se que esses fatores afetam diretamente a adesão ao tratamento e diagnóstico aos necessitados e que mesmo com todos os esforços voltados a essa temática até os dias atuais ainda é visto uma desigualdade na forma em como é ofertado o  sistema de saúde a população
