This article is devoted to the origin of the concept of “navigation security zone”. The meaning of the term for modern theory and practice of navigation is described in detail, and the main stages of its development are described. Particular attention is paid to the interpretation of the concept by leading domestic and foreign scientists, on the basis of their views, advanced trends in the development of the theory of the navigation security zone are predicted. Данная статья посвящена вопросам происхождения понятия «зона навигационной безопасности». Подробно раскрывается значение термина для современной теории и практики судовождения, и описываются основные этапы его развития. Особое внимание обращается на трактовку понятия ведущими отечественными и зарубежными учеными, на основании взглядов которых прогнозируются передовые тенденции в развитии теории зоны навигационной безопасности

This report is devoted to the consideration of the process of modeling vessel traffic. The meaning of the term traffic flow in the theory and practice of navigation is revealed in detail. Particular attention is paid to the creation of a computer program with which it is possible to simulate the flow on a linear fairway. Данный доклад посвящен рассмотрению процесса моделирования движением судов. Подробно раскрывается значение термина судопоток в теории и практики судовождения. Особое внимание обращается на создание компьютерной программы, с помощью которой можно смоделировать поток на линейном фарватере.
