The process of obtaining copper-containing particles from aqueous solutions is considered when using contact non-equilibrium plasma of reduced pressure. One of the most problematic areas of this technology is the need for the difficulty in choosing the parameters of the plasma-chemical treatment of the solution leading to the production of the desired quality. This is due to the fact that the physical and chemical mechanisms of the reactions are rather complex and when they occur, synergistic effects are observed, the dependencies of which are not entirely clear. In the course of the analysis, the possibilities of improving the technological scheme are revealed through:1) control of the inlet pH of the solution, ensuring the optimal yield of copper compounds;2) use of the spent solution in the tank with the initial solution for its acidification;3) refinement of the reactor block for the purpose of processing the solution in film or close to it, which should lead to an increase in the yield of copper oxides and a decrease in the particle size. The characteristics of the process of obtaining sediments are studied. At a concentration of C (Cu)=10-1–10-2 mol/l, the optimum pH range lies in the range 3.5–4.5. Let’s note that an increase in the current intensity of the process is accompanied by an increase in both the yield of the sediment and its density. Reducing the Cu concentration at the same current parameters gives more loose sediments. At the same time, a decrease in the liquid layer promotes an increase in the yield of oxide compounds. Also, when the thickness of the processed liquid layer is reduced, the particle size of the sediment decreases. The composition and sizes of the obtained particles are determined. With a thickness of the treated solution layer of 0.25 m, the oxide part is 50 % and 49 % at 0.1 and 0.2 bar, respectively, and at 0.01 m – 86 %, and 87 %. The dimensional characteristics of the particles are in the range 10–100 nm.Изучены процессы получения медьсодержащих частиц при обработке растворов контактной неравновесной плазмой пониженного давления. Deep Learning reconstruction with uncertainty estimation for γ\gamma photon interaction in fast scintillator detectors

This article presents a physics-informed deep learning method for the quantitative estimation of the spatial coordinates of gamma interactions within a monolithic scintillator, with a focus on Positron Emission Tomography (PET) imaging. A Density Neural Network approach is designed to estimate the 2-dimensional gamma photon interaction coordinates in a fast lead tungstate (PbWO4) monolithic scintillator detector. We introduce a custom loss function to estimate the inherent uncertainties associated with the reconstruction process and to incorporate the physical constraints of the detector. This unique combination allows for more robust and reliable position estimations and the obtained results demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed approach and highlights the significant benefits of the uncertainties estimation. We discuss its potential impact on improving PET imaging quality and show how the results can be used to improve the exploitation of the model, to bring benefits to the application and how to evaluate the validity of the given prediction and the associated uncertainties. Importantly, our proposed methodology extends beyond this specific use case, as it can be generalized to other applications beyond PET imaging.Comment: Submitted to Artificial Intelligenc

Social Skills Amongst MMORPG-Gamers: Empirical Study

    No full text
The research paper addresses the issue of the impact of MMORPGs on social culture and communication skills of individuals. The mainstream discourse about computer games which take individuals away from reality and substitute the real life by the fictional one is complemented by brand new ideas, which affirm that computer games do not substitute but supplement the real life and expand its possibilities. To confirm the presented point of view we use diagnostic questionnaire of interpersonal relations by A.A. Rukavishnikov. This questionnaire is aimed to evaluate typical ways of respondent’s attitude towards other people. At this point we have 43 gamers and 29 non-gamers involved in our research, aged 18 to 57. The comparison of a user and non-user answers gives a bigger view on an overall gaming experience. In the obtained indices we note that there are no fundamental differences between MMORPGs gamers and ordinary people. During research, MMORPGs users have showed many important social interaction skills such as striving to control own actions, collaborate with others, though with a low interest in emotionally charged relationships. Authors discuss the idea about the differences between addiction and fascination among gamers

THE MODEL OF LIFELONG EDUCATION IN A TECHNICAL UNIVERSITY AS A MULTILEVEL EDUCATIONAL COMPLEX

    No full text
Introduction: the current leading trend of the educational development is characterised by its continuity. Institutions of higher education as multi-level educational complexes nurture favourable conditions for realisation of the strategy of lifelong education. Today a technical university offering training of future engineers is facing a topic issue of creating a multilevel educational complex. Materials and Methods: this paper is put together on the basis of modern Russian and foreign scientific literature about lifelong education. The authors used theoretical methods of scientific research: systemstructural analysis, synthesis, modeling, analysis and generalisations of concepts. Results: the paper presents a model of lifelong education developed by authors for a technical university as a multilevel educational complex. It is realised through a set of principles: multi-level and continuity, integration, conformity and quality, mobility, anticipation, openness, social partnership and feedback. In accordance with the purpose, objectives and principles, the content part of the model is formed. The syllabi following the described model are run in accordance with the training levels undertaken by a technical university as a multilevel educational complex. All syllabi are based on the gradual nature of their implementation. In this regard, the authors highlight three phases: diagnostic, constructive and transformative, assessing. Discussion and Conclusions: the expected result of the created model of lifelong education development in a technical university as a multilevel educational complex is presented by a graduate trained for effective professional activity, competitive, prepared and sought-after at the regional labour market

Introduction: the article deals with the problem of expanding students’ competencies. A modern technical University must train professionals who apart from having a high special competence, also have the understanding of the common cultural issues. The solution of the problem is possible through a specially organized activity in the system of lifelong education. The formation of students’ social competences assumes a particular relevance, in the educational process, of a technical university as a multilevel educational complex in the context of the implementation of competence-based approach. Materials and Methods: the authors use the following methods of scientific research: system-structural analysis, synthesis, working with literature, summarizing the e xperience, and critical reflection. Results: the article presents a programme “The Formation of Students’ Social Competences in a Technical University as a Multilevel Educational Complex” developed by the authors. The content of the programme suggests the formation of social competence of health preservation, civic consciousness, communication and social interaction as well as the formation of competence in th e field of information technology. Discussion and Conclusions: the programme developed by the authors is one of the results of research carried out in the work of the Russian Academy of Education experimental unit, case study of Penza State Technological University. The main target of this programme is to promote engineering staff training for a regional labour market. This programme can be used in dif ferent institutions of continuing education
