The true systematic status of Liolaemus misleali Donoso Barros and Cei, 1971, from Northern Patagonia, Argentina (Reptilia, Iguanidae)

The taxonomic status of the poorly known Patagonian Lizard Liolaemus ruizleali has been revised according to its only extant holotype and paratypes. It is a composite species: the holotype and two paratypes belong to Liolaemus rothi Koslowsky, 1898, the other four paratypes to Liolaemus kingi somuncurae Cei and Scolaro, 1981. A new species of the Patagonian Genus Vilcunia, with remarks on its morphology, ecology and distribution

A new species of the genus Vilcunia from near Lago Belgrano, 47°50' South latitude, Santa Cruz, Argentina, is described. The morphology of the new species, V. periglacialis sp. nov. and the closely related V. silvanao are compared and a redescription of V. silvanae is made. Un nuevo iguanido tropidurino del genero Liolaemus, grupo kingi archeforus, de la región del Lago Belgrano, Santa Cruz, Argentina

Se describe una nueva subespecie patagónica del grupo Liolaemus archeforus de la región del lago Belgrano y relieves volcánicos limítrofes. Se presenta y discute las relaciones cladísticas y las características generales, ecológicas y biogeográficas, del conjunto específico - racial kingi - archeforus. A taxonomic revision of recognized argentine species of the leiosauridae genus Diplolaemus (Reptilia, Squamata, Leiosauridae)

A careful analysis of the up to date inadequate taxonomy of the few species of the leiosaurine genus Diplolaemus was attempted. The problematic “alto-patagonicus” or “mendocine” populations from Chubut province to Mendoza province were recognized as a new species named Diplolaemus sexcinctus by their characteristic dorsal color pattern. Morphological differences between the new northernmost Diplolaemus species and Diplolaemus bibronii, as well as Diplolaemus darwinii, were analyzed and discussed. The unsolved relationships between D. sexcinctus and the Chilean taxon Diplolaemus leopardinus were considered, and a necessary further research, supported by binational cooperation, was pointed out, taking into account the use of bio-molecular methods of comparative analysis

Una excepcional nueva especie de Phymaturus de la precordillera de Chubut, Argentina (Liolaemidae, Iguania, Lacertilia, Reptilia)

A new morphologically peculiar taxon belonging to the genus Phymaturus, from a relatively high austral latitude, is described. Preliminary comments on relationships and differences between the new species and the species assembled into the two recognized groups of the genus, are given.Se describe un nuevo taxón del género Phymaturus, de latitud austral relativamente elevada, y de morfología y coloración peculiares.
