A new texture of neutrino mass matrix with three constraints
We present a new texture of neutrino mass matrix having three complex
relations among its elements and study in detail the phenomenological
implications. A characteristic feature of the resulting neutrino mass matrix is
that the atmospheric neutrino mixing angle is predicted to lie in a very narrow
region near . We illustrate how such a form of the neutrino mass
matrix can be realized using the non-Abelian flavor symmetry in the
framework of type-I+II seesaw mechanism.Comment: 10 pages, 2 figures, 2 tables, matches published versio
Neutrino Mass Matrices with Generalized CP Symmetries and Texture Zeros
We investigate the properties of neutrino mass matrices that incorporate
texture zeros and generalized CP symmetries associated with tribimaximal
mixing. By combining these approaches, we derive predictive neutrino mass
matrices and explore their implications for mass hierarchies, mixing angles,
and CP-violating phases. We find that the three angles defining the generalized
CP symmetries have narrow allowed ranges. We also obtain distinct correlations
between the three mixing angles and the CP-violating phases that distinguish
the various texture patterns from one another. Moreover, we compute the
effective neutrino mass for neutrinoless double beta decay and the sum of
neutrino masses. Our results highlight the predictability and testability of
neutrino mass matrices with generalized CP symmetry.Comment: 22 pages, 5 figures, 4 table
Magnetic and humidity sensing properties of nanostructured Cu[x]Co[1-x]Fe2O4 synthesized by auto combustion technique
Magnetic nanomaterials (23-43 nm) of CuCoFeO\ (x = 0.0,
0.5 and 1.0) were synthesized by auto combustion method. The crystallite sizes
of these materials were calculated from X-ray diffraction peaks. The band
observed in Fourier transform infrared spectrum near 575 cm in these
samples confirm the presence of ferrite phase. Conductivity measurement shows
the thermal hysteresis and demonstrates the knee points at 475C, 525C
and 500C for copper ferrite, cobalt ferrite and copper-cobalt mixed ferrite
respectively. The hystersis M-H loops for these materials were traced using the
Vibrating Sample Magnetometer (VSM) and indicate a significant increase in the
saturation magnetization (M) and remanence (M) due to the substitution
of Cu ions in cobalt ferrite, while the intrinsic coercivity (H) was
decreasing. Among these ferrites, copper ferrite exhibits highest sensitivity
for humidity.Comment: 12 pages, 7 figure
Community Medicine Outpatient Department: Patient profile and reasons for bypass of lower-level public health facilities
Background: The General OPD under the department of Community Medicine at LLRM Medical College, Meerut was inaugurated with the vision to improve quality of OPD services by reducing the patient burden and waiting time at specialist OPDs. Aim & Objective: To describe the profile of patients attending the Community Medicine OPD in LLRM Medical College, Meerut and to estimate the extent and reasons for bypass of lower-level public health facility by patients attending the general OPD. Settings and Design: A hospital based descriptive study was conducted in the general OPD. Methods and Material: Data of all patients from 1st July,2023 to 31st August,2023 was collected from the registers maintained in the OPD. A sample of 215 patients were selected by systematic random sampling to study the objective to assess bypass of lower-level public health facility. Statistical analysis used: Descriptive statistics. Results: A total of 2570 patients attended the general OPD from 1st July,2023 to 31st August,2023. Around 12.8% patients required referral to specialist OPDs. Most common presenting complaints were respiratory symptoms (29.8%). It was seen that 58.8% patients had bypassed the lower-level public health system and the most common reasons were non-availability of a facility nearby (26.8%), not satisfied with previous experience (23.7%), non-availability of treatment (21.6%) and investigations (17.5%), and lack of awareness of services available at the public health facility (15.4%). Conclusions: The general OPD serves as a model for other medical colleges to emulate and improve the quality of services at tertiary care centres
A Progressive step towards classical uses of Medicinal Plants in Gynecological Disorders
In India women do not share their Gynecological problems with their family members and not even with her neighbours at early stage of diseases. Generally they share their problems with local practitioners, because there is less chances to disclose their problems in society, another benefit is that local practitioners treat them by local herbal remedies at very low cost. Mostly this work is exploration of different Ayurvedic scriptures for Gynecological problems. About 77 medicinal plants have been recorded having basonyms and latin names of the plants, family, therapeutic uses and their references in different scriptures of Ayurveda and ethno botany. The present study is very much significant to practitioners in their practices and also for researchers to find out the various active phytochemicals and pharmacological agents as a potent drug in the field of Ayurveda
