    The dynamics of near-surface prismatic loops in lead

    The paper proposes the study of the dynamics of near-surface dislocation loops in lead. It has been shown that the activation of a prismatic near-surface dislocation loop and its motion inward the crystal practically throughout the entire path occurs at a high velocity close to the speed of sound in metal. The kinetic energy per unit length of the dislocation loop during its motion decreases linearly and weakly depends on the density of dislocations in metal. Moreover, a weak dependence of the path length and the path time of a prismatic loop on the dislocation density in lead is observed

Samokhina Β Ukrainian Scientific and Research Institute of Transport Medicine, OdessaΒ SummaryEexperimental studies of prolonged exposure of cadmium salts, mercury, lead in the dose of from 1/50 DL50 on the kidney have shown that an important aspect of their actions is the change of indicators of nitrogen metabolism, which was manifested by increased creatinine, urea and uric acid in serum and high urine protein excretion. A characteristic feature of renal disease is the decline in glomerular filtration rate, which was defined when all three of the studied nephrotoxicants: under the Cd decrease by 23,6 %, under the action of Pb - 22,1 %, under the action of Hg – 28,9 %. Morphological studies revealed new facts concerning the morphological characteristics of toxic action of inorganic compounds of Cd, Hg, Pb, which lies in the ability of metals to cause cytopathic effect on individual cells of the structural elements of the nephron.     Fluorine concentration in snow cover within the impact area of aluminium production plant (Krasnoyarsk city) and coal and gas-fired power plant (Tomsk city)

    The fluorine contents in snow melt water find in the impact areas of aluminum production plant and coal and gas-fired power plant are compared. In melt water, soluble fluoride is found in the form of fluoride ion, the content of which was determined by the potentiometric method using ion-selective electrode. According to the measurements of 2013-2014, fluoride content in melt water ranges 10.6-15.4 mg/dm{3} at the distance 1-3 km from the borders of Krasnoyarsk aluminum plant with the mean value 13.1 mg/dm{3}. Four-year monitoring from 2012 to 2015 in the impact area of Tomsk coal and gas-fired power plant showed that fluoride content in melt water in vicinity of the thermal power plant is significantly lower than in the samples from the impact area of the aluminum plant. But higher content of fluoride ion (0.2-0.3 mg/dm{3}) in snow samples in vicinity of coal and gas-fired power plant was revealed in winter of 2015.     Analysis of Microcrafters in Materials Specimens after Long-Term Exposure on ISS Surface

    The "Komplast" experiment has been carried out on the ISS by the Khrunichev Space Center jointly with other Russian scientific centers since 1998. The experiment incorporates the "Komplast" cartridges on the FGB exterior, which are fitted with materials specimens and sensors. The cartridges were sent into orbit together with FGB on 20 November 1998. In March 2011, two of the cartridges were taken back from the ISS by the "Discovery" American space shuttle after being exposed in the open space for 12 years. In the framework of this experiment the subject of analysis is the effect of the space environment on the exposed specimens of various materials. This report covers the analysis results of the surface morphology of various materials taken from the "Komplast" cartridges exposed to hits of micrometeors and micronic particles of space debris. Analysis is made of microcraters of 5 to 250 mcm in specimens of polished metals and silicone comprised in the sensor for micrometeoric particles. The report represents optic and scanning electron microscope images of craters formed in the specimens by high-velocity and low-velocity particles impacting the surface. By virtue of the electronic microscope, data on composition of the substance in the craters and of the substance of the low-velocity particles are obtained. The data make it possible to differentiate the particles as the natural-origin particles or anthropogenic-origin space debris particles. Distribution of craters and low-velocity particles in the size range of 5 to 50 mcm is obtained. The data are compared with the existing models of fluxes of natural-origin and artificial-origin microparticles on the ISS orbit. Inhomogeneous particles of complicated configuration are discovered on the surface of the analyzed specimens, whose origin are not uniquely determined and are to be the subject of further study

    The Komplast materials experiment was designed by the Khrunichev State Research and Production Space Center, together with other Russian scientific institutes, and has been carried out by Mission Control Moscow since 1998. Komplast panels fitted with material samples and sensors were located on the International Space Station (ISS) Functional Cargo Block (FGB) module exterior surface. Within the framework of this experiment, the purpose was to study the effect of the low earth orbit (LEO) environment on exposed samples of various materials. The panels were sent into orbit with the FGB when it launched on November 20, 1998.

    Experimental studies of the effect of heavy metals, in particular, the salts of cadmium and lead, on the activity of the antioxidant system of the kidneys have been carried out and also the nephroprotective properties of the polyphenol complex of blueberries has been investigated.     Myofascial pain syndrome: risk factors, diagnosis and local therapy

    One of the main reasons for seeking medical help is myofascial syndrome (MFS), which is manifested by local inflammation with elements of degenerative changes in the affected tissue, pain and muscle spasm due to dysfunctional disorders in the nociceptive system and a decrease in the quality of life. This review discusses etiopathogenesis in detail, taking into account the factors predisposing to the development of MFS, which are divided into anatomical, ergonomic, medical and psychosocial, and also provides diagnostic criteria for pain MFS, including 5 large and 3 small criteria necessary for diagnosis. The second part of the review examines the indications, efficacy, safety, and benefits of topical forms of nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs), which have a moderate effect on pain, but have a much better safety profile due to reduced systemic absorption. The use of topical drugs allows you to create an effective concentration of the drug directly in the lesion and avoid undesirable systemic effects. Experts strongly recommend prescribing primarily topical, rather than oral, NSAIDs to patients aged 65 years and older who have concomitant cardiovascular and renal pathology, as well as diseases of the gastrointestinal tract.
