The research was aimed to determine the type, the distribution and the incidence of banana leaf diseases in several production centers in West Sumatra, Bengkulu, North Sumatra and West Java. Direct observations on banana orchards were conducted in some districts in Simalungun, Deli Serdang and Medan (North Sumatra), Tanah Datar, Limapuluh Kota, Agam, Pariaman and Pasaman (West Sumatra), Rejang Lebong and Kepahyang (Bengkulu), Sukabumi, Purwakarta and Subang (West Java) from November to December 2006. Two banana orchards were randomly selected in each district. Plant population at the selected orchard was at least 100 plants. From each sampled orchard, if banana population consisted of similar or only one variety, 10 plants were randomly chosen according to wind direction. Meanwhile, when the banana varieties were varied, five plants were randomly selected. The result showed that Black Sigatoka and Eumusae leaf spot were found in West Sumatra, Bengkulu and North Sumatra at severity level of between 15 % to 62.31%, whilst speckle disease was mainly found in North Sumatra and in parts of West Sumatra at severity level of between 72,72% to 100% and 15 to 30%, respectively. Banana varieties that were primarily attacked by leaf diseases were Cavendish, Telor, Barangan and Emas

. The experiment was conducted at Phytopathology Laboratory of Universiti Putra Malaysia from May to De- cember 2001. The aim of this study was to isolate and to identify the causal agent of speckle disease from banana leaves. The isolation techniques used were cellotape imprint, direct plating diseased banana leaves, and single spore isolation. The results showed that the suitable technique for isolation agent of speckle disease was single spore isola- tion. Observation showed that the conidia in cultures were predominantly one-celled, colorless, produced in catenulate chains, and were ellipsoidal, ovate cylindrical or fusiform in shape. The average conidial dimension in cul- tures was 3-21 mm in length and 2- 6 mm in width. Those observed from cellotape imprints made on banana leaves were larger, averaging 5 -22 mm in length and 3 -7 mm in width. The cultural and morphological characteristics of the fungus isolated from diseased banana leaf samples are discussed

The aims of this study was to find out the correlation between jobinvolvement and health and safety at work disciplinary. The subject of the research were 97 employees of PT. Mandira Nusantara Bogor. The hypothesis stated that the higher the job involvement, the higher the health and safety at work disciplinary. The result shows that the hypothesis is consistent with the study by using product-moment correlation analysis, with r = .741 and p < .05. The Job-involvement account for 57.7% of the variability of health and safety at work disciplinary. Keywords : job – involvemen
