Somatic symptom disorder in dermatology
Somatic symptom disorder (SSD) is defined by the prominence of somatic symptoms associated with abnormal thoughts, feelings, and behaviors related to the symptoms, resulting in significant distress and impairment. Individuals with these disorders are more commonly encountered in primary care and other medical settings, including dermatology practice, than in psychiatric and other mental health settings. What defines the thoughts, feelings, and behaviors as abnormal is that they are excessive, that is, out of proportion to other patients with similar somatic symptoms, and that they result in significant distress and impairment. SSD may occur with or without the presence of a diagnosable dermatologic disorder. When a dermatologic disorder is present, SSD should be considered when the patient is worrying too much about his or her skin, spending too much time and energy on it, and especially if the patient complains of many nondermatologic symptoms in addition. The differential diagnosis includes other psychiatric disorders, including depression, anxiety disorders, delusions of parasitosis, and body dysmorphic disorder
The nuclear shell effects near the r-process path in the relativistic Hartree-Bogoliubov theory
We have investigated the evolution of the shell structure of nuclei in going
from the r-process path to the neutron drip line within the framework of the
Relativistic Hartree-Bogoliubov (RHB) theory. By introducing the quartic
self-coupling of meson in the RHB theory in addition to the non-linear
scalar coupling of meson, we reproduce the available data on the shell
effects about the waiting-point nucleus Zn. With this approach, it is
shown that the shell effects at N=82 in the inaccessible region of the
r-process path become milder as compared to the Lagrangian with the scalar
self-coupling only. However, the shell effects remain stronger as compared to
the quenching exhibited by the HFB+SkP approach. It is also shown that in
reaching out to the extreme point at the neutron drip line, a terminal
situation arises where the shell structure at the magic number is washed out

Nuclear Breathing Mode in the Relativistic Mean Field Theory
The breathing-mode giant monopole resonance is studied within the framework
of the relativistic mean-field (RMF) theory. Using a broad range of parameter
sets, an analysis of constrained incompressibility and excitation energy of
isoscalar monopole states in finite nuclei is performed. It is shown that the
non-linear scalar self-interaction and the resulting surface properties
influence the breathing-mode considerably. It is observed that dynamical
surface properties respond differently in the RMF theory than in the Skyrme
approach. A comparison is made with the incompressibility derived from the
semi-infinite nuclear matter and with constrained nonrelativistic Skyrme

Loss Guided Activation for Action Recognition in Still Images
One significant problem of deep-learning based human action recognition is
that it can be easily misled by the presence of irrelevant objects or
backgrounds. Existing methods commonly address this problem by employing
bounding boxes on the target humans as part of the input, in both training and
testing stages. This requirement of bounding boxes as part of the input is
needed to enable the methods to ignore irrelevant contexts and extract only
human features. However, we consider this solution is inefficient, since the
bounding boxes might not be available. Hence, instead of using a person
bounding box as an input, we introduce a human-mask loss to automatically guide
the activations of the feature maps to the target human who is performing the
action, and hence suppress the activations of misleading contexts. We propose a
multi-task deep learning method that jointly predicts the human action class
and human location heatmap. Extensive experiments demonstrate our approach is
more robust compared to the baseline methods under the presence of irrelevant
misleading contexts. Our method achieves 94.06\% and 40.65\% (in terms of mAP)
on Stanford40 and MPII dataset respectively, which are 3.14\% and 12.6\%
relative improvements over the best results reported in the literature, and
thus set new state-of-the-art results. Additionally, unlike some existing
methods, we eliminate the requirement of using a person bounding box as an

Oxygen isotope effect on the superconductivity and stripe phase in LaNdSrCuO
The oxygen isotope effect on the superconductivity, stripe phase and
structure transition is systematically investigated in
LaNdSrCuO with static stripe phase. Substitution of
O by O leads to a decrease in superconducting transition
temperature T, while enhances the temperature of the structural transition
from low-temperature-orthorhombic (LTO) phase to low-temperature-tetragonal
(LTT) phase. Compared to the Nd free sample, a larger isotope effect on
is observed in LaNdSrCuO. These results indicate
that the distortion of CuO plane suppresses the superconductivity, giving a
direct evidence for the competing of stripe phase and superconductivity because
the distortion of CuO plane enhances the stripe phase.Comment: 4 pages, 5 figure
Traditional handloom practices of Nyishi tribe of Arunachal Pradesh, Eastern Himalaya
The documentation of traditional handloom practices of Nyishi tribe and their cultural attire was done in Papum pare district of Arunachal Pradesh wherein 7 selected villages were surveyed during May 2018 to February 2019 through random sampling with semi-structured questionnaire. Rubung Ruekio, a traditional loin loom of Nyishi tribe is prepared from locally available resources, viz., Bambusa. tulda, B. pallida, Dendrocalamus hamiltonii, Gmelina arborea, Michelia species and Terminalia myriocarpa. Most of the weavers were female and weaved culturally important traditional dresses such as Pomo gale, Dumping gale, Jekum/Name-acham gale, Jinjab gale, Juhu/Junghang gale and Luch/lungch gale which are worn especially during auspicious occasions. Of these, Jekum gale, Pomo gale and Dumping gale culturally significant. The market price of gale varied tremendously depending on type of raw material and type of handloom used in the production
Schr\"{o}dinger cat state of trapped ions in harmonic and anharmonic oscillator traps
We examine the time evolution of a two level ion interacting with a light
field in harmonic oscillator trap and in a trap with anharmonicities. The
anharmonicities of the trap are quantified in terms of the deformation
parameter characterizing the q-analog of the harmonic oscillator trap.
Initially the ion is prepared in a Schr\"{o}dinger cat state. The entanglement
of the center of mass motional states and the internal degrees of freedom of
the ion results in characteristic collapse and revival pattern. We calculate
numerically the population inversion I(t), quasi-probabilities and
partial mutual quantum entropy S(P), for the system as a function of time.
Interestingly, small deformations of the trap enhance the contrast between
population inversion collapse and revival peaks as compared to the zero
deformation case. For \beta =3 and determines the average number
of trap quanta linked to center of mass motion) the best collapse and revival
sequence is obtained for \tau =0.0047 and \tau =0.004 respectively. For large
values of \tau decoherence sets in accompanied by loss of amplitude of
population inversion and for \tau \sim 0.1 the collapse and revival phenomenon
disappear. Each collapse or revival of population inversion is characterized by
a peak in S(P) versus t plot. During the transition from collapse to revival
and vice-versa we have minimum mutual entropy value that is S(P)=0. Successive
revival peaks show a lowering of the local maximum point indicating a
dissipative irreversible change in the ionic state. Improved definition of
collapse and revival pattern as the anharminicity of the trapping potential

Transient PP2A inhibition alleviates normal tissue stem cell susceptibility to cell death during radiotherapy
Abstract Unintended outcomes of cancer therapy include ionizing radiation (IR)-induced stem cell depletion, diminished regenerative capacity, and accelerated aging. Stem cells exhibit attenuated DNA damage response (DDR) and are hypersensitive to IR, as compared to differentiated non-stem cells. We performed genomic discovery research to compare stem cells to differentiated cells, which revealed Phosphoprotein phosphatase 2A (PP2A) as a potential contributor to susceptibility in stem cells. PP2A dephosphorylates pATM, γH2AX, pAkt etc. and is believed to play dual role in regulating DDR and apoptosis. Although studied widely in cancer cells, the role of PP2A in normal stem cell radiosensitivity is unknown. Here we demonstrate that constitutively high expression and radiation induction of PP2A in stem cells plays a role in promoting susceptibility to irradiation. Transient inhibition of PP2A markedly restores DNA repair, inhibits apoptosis, and enhances survival of stem cells, without affecting differentiated non-stem and cancer cells. PP2Ai-mediated stem cell radioprotection was demonstrated in murine embryonic, adult neural, intestinal, and hematopoietic stem cells
