The CCFM Monte Carlo generator CASCADE 2.2.0
CASCADE is a full hadron level Monte Carlo event generator for ep, \gamma p
and p\bar{p} and pp processes, which uses the CCFM evolution equation for the
initial state cascade in a backward evolution approach supplemented with off -
shell matrix elements for the hard scattering. A detailed program description
is given, with emphasis on parameters the user wants to change and variables
which completely specify the generated events
Double heavy meson production through double parton scattering in hadronic collisions
It is shown that the contribution from double parton scattering to the
inclusive double heavy meson yield is quite comparable with the usually
considered mechanism of their production at the LHC energy. For some pairs of
heavy flavored quarks in the final state the double parton scattering will be a
dominant mode of their production.Comment: 5 pages, version accepted in Phys. Lett. B, discussion extended,

Study of the Linked Dipole Chain Model in heavy quark production at the Tevatron
We present calculations of charm and beauty production at Tevatron within the
framework of kT-factorization, using the unintegrated gluon distributions as
obtained from the Linked Dipole Chain model. The analysis covers transverse
momentum and rapidity distributions and the azimuthal correlations between b
and bbar quarks (or rather muons from their decay) which are powerful tests for
the different unintegrated gluon distributions. We compare the theoretical
results with recent experimental data taken by D0 and CDF collaborations at the
Tevatron Run I and II.Comment: 16 page
Inclusive J/Psi photoproduction and polarization at HERA in the kt-factorization approach
We investigate the inclusive photoproduction of J/Psi mesons at HERA within
the framework of the kt-factorization QCD approach. Our consideration is based
on the color singlet model supplemented with the relevant off-shell matrix
elements and the CCFM and KMR unintegrated gluon densities in a proton and in a
photon. Both the direct and resolved photon contributions are taken into
account. Our predictions are compared with the recent experimental data taken
by the H1 and ZEUS collaborations. Special attention is put on the J/Psi
polarization parameters lambda and nu which are sensitive to the production
dynamics.Comment: 21 pages, 15 figure
QCD analysis of first b cross section data at 1.96 TeV
The first data on bottom quark production in p-pbar collisions at 1.96 TeV
have recently been obtained by the CDF collaboration. These data probe the
region of pt~0, providing a new invaluable input on the issue of the
compatibility between next-to-leading-order (NLO) QCD and data. We reconsider
the evaluation of the b cross section, in view of recent theoretical
developments, and of the latest inputs on structure function fits. We show that
the new CDF measurements are in good agreement with NLO QCD. If CDF preliminary
data are confirmed, a long-standing discrepancy between NLO QCD predictions and
hadron-collider data can be settled.Comment: 15 pages, 7 figures. This revision gives an expanded presentation of
the results and corrects a mistake in fig 5. V3 updates some reference
Production of -pairs at HERA-
The production of -pairs as a possible measure of the polarized gluon
distribution is studied for proton--nucleon collisions at
\sqrt{s} =40\;\mbox{GeV}^2 (HERA-). Possibilities of
reconstructing the helicity state of at least one of the 's are
critically reviewed. The observation of production asymmetries in the single
polarized mode of HERA- is found to be not feasible.Comment: 8 pages, LATeX, 3 figures availabe as .uu-fil
On the mechanisms of heavy-quarkonium hadroproduction
We discuss the various mechanisms potentially at work in hadroproduction of
heavy quarkonia in the light of computations of higher-order QCD corrections
both in the Colour-Singlet (CS) and Colour-Octet (CO) channels and the
inclusion of the contribution arising from the s-channel cut in the CS channel.
We also discuss new observables meant to better discriminate between these
different mechanisms.Comment: Invited review talk at 3rd International Conference On Hard And

Photoproduction of J/psi mesons at high energies in parton model and k_t-faktorization approach
We consider J/psi meson photoproduction on protons at high energies at the
leading order in alpha_s using conventional parton model and k_t-factorization
approach of QCD. It is shown that in the both cases the colour singlet
mechanism gives correct description for experimental data from HERA for the
total cross section and for the J/psi meson z-spectrum at realistic values of a
c-quark mass and meson wave function at the origin Psi (0). At the same time
our predictions for p_t-spectrum of J/psi meson and for p_t dependence of the
spin parameter alpha obtained in k_t-factorization approach are very different
from the results obtained in conventional parton model. Such a way the
experimental study of a polarized J/psi meson production at the large p_t
should be a direct test of BFKL gluons.Comment: LaTeX2e, 11 pages plus 8 fig. using epsfig.st
Double parton scatterings in b-quark pairs production at the LHC
A sizable rate of events where two pairs of b-quarks are produced
contemporarily is foreseen at the CERN LHC, as a consequence of the large
parton luminosity. At very high energies both single and the double parton
scatterings contribute to the process, the latter mechanisms, although power
suppressed, giving the dominant contribution to the integrated cross section.Comment: 17 pages, 6 figure
Direct J/psi and psi' hadroproduction via fragmentation in the collinear parton model and k_T-factorization approach
The p_T-spectra for direct J/psi and psi' in hadroproduction at Tevatron
energy have been calculated based on NRQCD formalism and fragmentation
approximation in the collinear parton model and k_T-factorization approach. We
have described the CDF data and obtained a good agreement between the
predictions obtained in the parton model and k_T-factorization approach. We
performed the calculations using the relevant leading order in alpha_s hard
amplitudes and the equal values of the color-octet long-distance matrix
elements for the both models.Comment: 10 pages, Latex, 4 eps figures, epsfig.sty, graphics.st
