The space flight of the Soviet-Indian crew
After a brief discussion of the Indian space program, the paper examines the flight of the Soyuz T-11, which included an Indian crew member. Particular attention is given to experiments conducted aboard Soyuz T-11, including the Optokinez vestibular experiment, the Vektor cardiac bioelectricity experiment, the yoga experiment for the counteraction of the negative effects of weightlessness, a supercooling experiment, and the Terra remote sensing experiment
Decoupling normalizing transformations and local stabilization of nonlinear systems
summary:The existence of the normalizing transformation completely decoupling the stable dynamic from the center manifold dynamic is proved. A numerical procedure for the calculation of the asymptotic series for the decoupling normalizing transformation is proposed. The developed method is especially important for the perturbation theory of center manifold and, in particular, for the local stabilization theory. In the paper some sufficient conditions for local stabilization are given
Limitations on squeezing and formation of the superposition of two macroscopically distinguishable states at fundamental frequency in the process of second harmonic generation
The results of numerical simulations of quantum state evolution in the process of second harmonic generation (SHG) are discussed. It is shown that at a particular moment of time in the fundamental mode initially coherent state turns into a superposition of two macroscopically distinguished states. The question of whether this superposition exhibits quantum interference is analyzed
Dynamics of electrocrystallization of dendritic zinc deposits in galvanostatic and potentiostatic modes
In the work the dynamics of growth of zinc dendritic deposits in the galvanostatic and potentiostatic modes from an electrolyte containing 0.3 mol/L of ZnO, and 4 mol/L of NaOH has been studied. It has been shown that in galvanostatic conditions decrease in the elongation rate of dendrites and change in the deposit structure from dendritic to compact accompanied by increasing density and decreasing through-thickness porosity are observed. In potentiostatic conditions dendrites grow at a constant rate and the structure of the deposit
varies little. The results have been confirmed by electron microscopic studies of morphology of zinc particles
